Great food! They make everything in house which is a huge plus! The chicken Patraso is to die for; same with the spaghetti carbonara. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great Italian food. Good atmosphere and great staff.

Great fresh Italian food, been there several times. Always impressed with the taste. Low ceilings and tile floor means its NOISY if crowded. Biggest concern is they DOUBLE BILLED me on my credit card....very sloppy or ???

Same family as the Molinas who have the Mexican restaurants in the area. The Stromboli and Calzones are large, so split them with a friend for a tasty and affordable lunch under $5.

This is best little Italian family restaurant in the area. The pizza is to die for, as is the chicken perm. And lasagna. This will be our Wednsday nite dinner spot. Big portions and good service.

I usually write reviews for out-of-town restaurants, but this establishment is less than 1/2 mile from my home. We were looking for a nice, warm meal on a chilly winter night. The reviews spurred us on to visit the former Pizza Hut building where our oldest had worked MANY years ago. (They're fairly new to the area, but we're not.) The interior brought me back to the family owned restaurants of the 70s. Even the small quantity of holiday decorations, (note the date) reminded me of the 70s. The new owners didn't need to make many changes to be up and running. They are concentrating on presenting good food. And it was good! After we looked at the many options we asked our waitress for recommendations. I think she just about recommended everything! (Including a hint of delicious dessert options.) Her descriptions helped me choose the Chicken Florentine Pizza. I ordered the medium size. My husband ordered the Steak Calzone. His was perfect for him, as mine was perfect for me. We were hoping to order something for our son as we were leaving, but the generous size of our portions and the prospect of delicious desserts told us pretty early on that we would have enough left over to fill him completely. (He actually couldn't eat all we brought.) The chicken pieces and other ingredients were so generous, that I was only able to eat two pieces of my pizza. My husband ate 1/2 a piece - leaving almost 2/3 of a pizza! The spinach was well chopped and the homemade crust was terrific! My husband's steak calzone was thick and made to order for him. There was no problem getting it without peppers. The homemade marinara sauce almost made him want to lick the bowl. Then it was time for dessert - we were already thinking about it because there was a Valentine Dinner Special ad at the table, showing chocolate Italian Creme cake or Italian cheesecake with cherries or strawberries. Our server brought out a plate with the 4 delicious-looking options. You would have thought there were 20 options, the choice seemed so hard! Finally, I chose the coconut cake, knowing that I MUST share the Italian Creme cake with my sweetie. The coconut cake was like a Miami Beach cake - cold and moist, with what tasted like a slight bit of pineapple and citrus. Yum! The chocolate Creme cake was so good and moist - homemade, layered, with ricotta cheese, a chocolate pudding-like layer, and a chocolate sauce. I can't tell you what all was in it, but the desserts were wonderful, with two left to try soon. What a good choice of a place to eat. We will be back soon!

I visited for the first time today and will be back again. I ordered the Athenian pizza and it was superb. Just the right balance of ingredients and the crust was very good. My companion had the minestrone soup which she enjoyed immensely. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I cant wait to return and try some of the other fare on the menu.

The chicken florentine pizza was very good. The great local craft beer selection was very pleasant surprise. The kids menu was good. The cheesecake was awesome. It's of the lighter, crumbly variety that I like so much more than the overly creamy styles you find at most places. The carrot cake was also very good. We'll be back!

Lasagna was great! Large craft beer menu and the house wine was pretty good. We will be back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
