Love this place. It's the Jersey fetus ion of a diner but in a cute atmosphere! Been there twice, the food is great and the milkshakes are awesome.

Comfort food. Good for a quick cool off. Our family had a visit for ice-cream offerings, shakes and some of those healthy phosphate drinks. Will have to do a meal next time around.

A diner known for its desserts??!?!?! Sign me up! Actually just stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat on a Monday. It's amazing on how many places are closed. But not this one--- they are closed on Sunday... The menu has a lot of different options. The servers has good suggestions... but it really depends on how hungry you are. Also BEFORE choosing your meal, ask about what desserts they have that day... it may sway how much food you order. Once I heard key lime cake I was sold. But I really wanted to try everything and all the ice cream flavors! Things to try: chicken and dumplings, chef salad, caprese sandwich, SRS burger... Desserts: key lime CAKE, tollhouse cookie pie, strawberry cake... ice cream... brownies... shakes!!! Must come again...

Nice place and priced about right for downtown Aiken. They have a lot if menu selections, everything from grilled cheese to shrimp po-boys to fries with brown gravy (is that really a thing?...LOL). Staff are very friendly and they keep the place very clean. It always seems busy but never crowded...it can get a bit loud though. Not a place I'd go for an intimate conversation. Not at all fancy, just a good old fashioned Americana style diner.

Diner. Very popular. Maybe they are known for their desserts which we did not try. The food was average and greasy. But that is typical of diners. We came here because of the reviews and waited an hour for our food. We were seated right away and we noticed tables after us were being served so I asked what was taking so long and then our food came out. My mom's salad was old and wilted so our server did not charge us for our two drinks. But the rest of the food was average at best. I guess I am not a big fan of this place. To each his/her own. I will not return.

Posted this 4/19/2014 but no longer on the site. Went here for breakfast. Sat there for like 10 minutes and there was next to nobody in the restaurant. More staff then patrons. They were all preoccupied refilling salt shakers, sugar packets etc. One looked at me and I waved like...how about a little service. She ignored me, shortly thereafter we left.

EXCELLENT! The way a restaurant used to be, one bite of the chicken soup and I felt like I was back in my Grandma's house. Everything was home made and the pumpkin pie was perfect.

I went to Betsy's on a Monday around 2 pm. The place was pretty packed but I was seated immediately. Waited for around 5 mins to give the waitress my drink order, but this was the only disconcerting part of my trip. I ordered the ultimate club with chips and subbed a fried green tomato and pepper jack cheese. Not only was the sandwich excellent, it arrived within five mins of my ordering. For dessert I chose the German chocolate cake which was also pretty good. Kind of pricy for sandwiches, but well worth the money. Betsy's interior did not blow me away, but the seating outside was nice. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and will be recommending to friends.

Diner looked nice with an "A" rating on the door. My daughters burger was pretty good. Looked like a hand-made patty with fresh ingredients and fries were real potatoes. The milk shake was quite tasty. The chicken and dumplings...not so much. I make homemade dumplings all the time in a rich homemade broth but these were below par in my opinion. Definitely wouldn't order again. Probably wouldn't go back on my own again either.

Absolutely wonderful! Best food and the most amazing service!! Great atmosphere! LOTS of homemade items. Great chicken and dumplings. Pimento cheese to die for! Desserts were to perfection! So very glad we found this gem of a place! A must!!!!

Loved this place! I got a bowl of their chicken and dumplings as well as some pimento cheese fries (couldn't resist). Both were absolutely delicious, and I am extremely picky about my chicken and dumplings! It was pouring rain so we didn't know to expect, but the place was packed and the waitresses were fabulous. Very nice and prompt with taking our orders. I'm a huge fan and plan to be a regular at this place. I could have ordered everything on the menu. Tons of great ice cream dessert options as well!

Nice soda shop/diner setting. Lunch was a bit crowded, but I chose a seat at the counter and was seen immediately. The chicken salad sandwich was pretty good, but next time I'll try a burger.

This place is great! I have been here several times over the past two years. The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating. The have a pretty big menu, so there is something for everyone. Splurge on one of their shakes!

We stopped at this popular place because of all the good reviews. but had a poor experience. Our order was lost, the air conditioning minimal, took 40 min to get our order and the food was disappointing. The chicken salad is the well-blended variety; don't get if you prefer the kind that has chunks of chicken with bits of celery, pecans, grapes, etc. Chicken and dumplings - fair but salty. The staff was nice and didn't charge for food item sent back.

This place is one the best/reasonable places to dine for lunch or dinner! Great food and great desserts! The only bad like about lunchtime is you need to get there early to get a seat. But even if the seats are all filled up they do a good job of trying their best to get you seated after the other person leaves. I would recommend to get there no later than 12 if you want a seat. The other reviews are kinda bogus. Today I went and had a dessert and they were refilling ketchup bottle and I was helped right away. This place is always top notch to me.

My husband best friend and I tried Betsy's last week and were pleasantly surprised. I love American food/diners etc., and my name is Betsy so I had to try it. My friend and I each ordered cheeseburgers, while my husband got the chicken wrap with gouda. All were excellent, but I think the chicken wrap with the best, very flavorful. I also ordered the fresh lemonade, it wasn't too sweet, and actually tasted like lemon unlike a lot of places. The sweet potatoes fries were also very tasty. I regret not saving room for dessert though, because their list of ice creams is pretty substantial. My husband ordered the ice cream sandwich, with rocky road. Why didn't I leave room?? The atmosphere was fun and vintage-y. I will gladly go back with my family when they come to town.

Bad food.. worse service... is that possible. Ok so we decided to try this place and upon entering we felt like we made a good choice. Upon sitting down we were given menus and when we asked about the special of the day the chicken and dumpling.. we were told oh we don't have that even though it was sill on the board. We asked our waitress for 2 LARGE drinks .. she brought us 2 very small drinks and then a big cup to refill them with.. Why not just cut out all the hassle and do what was asked .. more on that in a min. So the menu is pretty simple.. We asked the recommendation of the space cadet (i mean waitress) and she said well..depends on what you are in the mood for.. Thank you for your outstanding input.. Sorry I wasted my breath.. Oh and they seem to want to use chili on everything as its on on the menu as an add on for all items so I asked for a bowl of chil and she said we don't offer chili in a bowl or a cup.. its not real chili.. wtf is it then and why are you offering it.. So my fiance and I both settled on the burger. I asked for mine cooked well done.. The waitress did not write this down.. I then asked again.. and said please make sure that burger is well done because if its not and its pink that won't work. My fiance then chimed in .. Shoe Leather Please... So after almost 30 min wait to cook 2 burgers.. There was only one other couple in there.. the food came.. and wait for it.. ...you guessed it.. Pink Burger.. so after 2 bites the burger sat on my plate for the duration of the rest of the meal my fiance ate hers and she says it was good. But my unattentive server that never came to check on us would not know because wait for it.. she never checked on us. So upon checkout I once again had communication with the person that was supposed to be our server and I said hey remember that burger.. that I asked for WELL DONE.. well it wasn't it was pink.. but since you never checked on us you wouldn't know that.. A manager or some sort of higher life from then chimed in and ask did you eat it it.. I said I ate a bite of it. it was pink and not what I asked for .. She said well if you didn't eat it.. I won't charge you for it.. I explained to her I was not telling her it sucked to get something free (that I didn't eat, nor enjoy) but that I was telling them cause they need to know. She proceeded to thank me and then went ahead and charged me (after she said she wouldn't) for the gross burger. So bad service. bad food and was lied to.. I d rather sit on a different corner and burn my 20 bucks or give it to someone in need than spend it with these so called frauds that call themselves restauranteurs. I know plenty that will lie and steal your money.. Add this schist hole to the list.
