After recently moving to Warren I was told of a place I'd be sure to like. Checked it out a couple of months ago and have been back five times since then, Traditional greasy spoon with breakfast, wieners and other appropriate lunch items, served with a smile and priced fairly. They even have Eggs Benedict! When I'm there I feel like I fit in and am accepted by the regulars. Located on a side street just across from AUA Steves and the Library on Main Street it is easily accessible from the bike path by going up the hill just after the Police Station. I lock my bike to the railing at the Citizens Bank, just across Washington Street. Nothing says rehydration like coffee paired with home fries and eggs. Oh, BTW, You have the option of lightly deep fried cut potatoes, my favorite, or regular home fries with a little too much spice/ herbs for my taste. And, I CAN WALK THERE. What more can you ask!

With Warrens hipsterization and gentrification still on the march, it is nice to see that Rods Grille has not been consumed just yet. Great wieners and fries and great breakfast. Good service and prices as well. The East Bay has very few wiener joints (this might be the only one I know of) and it is a good one.

The best damn NY system around. Somethings do come down to a matter of preference but I think they're the best in the state. Service is great and there's usually a cute Portuguese girl or two behind the counter.

So I've lived in Rhode Island for about a year and a half now and I had yet to try the infamous hot weiner, aka gagger. They had been described to me and I honestly thought they sounded disgusting. No thank you. Wellllll we had family visiting from Seattle and felt like we needed to give them the Rhode Island experience, so hot weiners and coffee milk it is. Rod's came highly recommended. I felt like I had to try it if everyone else was, and I was pleasantly surprised to find I actually liked it! I would definitely go back for more! The staff was friendly, and the place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's clean and good vibes inside. Total townie place and I know I've only lived in warren for less than two years but that's what I aspire to be. So I'll have to start going more often! We only tried the weiners and coffee milk but I would love to go back for breakfast sometime. Definitely check out Rod's for some tasty (and cheap!) gaggers.

Rod's is always a landmark stop for me when I come back to Rhody to visit family!! Nothing like it anywhere...! 3 all the way is always my order! Always awesome!! I used to take my Mom here as it would be one of the things she would crave when she got her appetite back after her chemo treatments...! It's the best!! All the way from Colorado to Washington St in Warren, RI!

Excellent food and service. Real old school diner type feeling. The Rhode Island Wieners are UNREAL!! I would eat lunch here every day if I was from the area. Stop in and you will not regret it!!! The meat sauce they use makes the wiener, try it before you knock it. Would drive miles for this place.

Rods makes THE BEST WIENERS EVER! But everything there is delicious...chicken sandwich or an addys burger! No matter what you order you can't go wrong! I've been coming here my whole life and fully intend to continue. PLUS THEY HAVE KENO :)

I had a gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket for a good two years so I finally made the trek for some breakfast/lunch. I had a chorico omelette with seasoned home fries and a grilled bolo. My wife had three weiners "all the way" which means mustard, onions, and meat sauce. The food was good but their air conditioning couldn't keep up and after 20mins in the place I was sweatin' like Richard Simmons used to sweat to the oldies. My wife commented that the weiners were good, but they weren't any better than places closer to us like Eats in Seekonk. I used the bathroom and it was a million degrees in there, yikes! So what's the bottom line? Food was good, service was friendly, worth your while if you're in the area but no need to make a special trip.

Ahhhhhh Rod's! After seeing family, Rod's is always one of my first stops when I return home. The counter service is always friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable, and the burger.... Yes, I said the burger. While people normally race about the wiener, it's never been my thing. That being said, Rod's has, and always has had one of my all time favorite burgers. Pair it with some perfectly salted fries and a fountain Coca-Cola and it's easy to see why I stop in every time I venture back to Warren.

Ive been coming to rods my whole life. it is a local place that everybody has to go to when they are visiting warren. but for the prices..its really not worth it anymore. you get a small cheeseburger for like 3.99. thats not even fries. the winers are close to 2.50 a piece..which i think is a little pricey for a hotdog. but its mostly for people who are visiting home and want to remember good times. i come here like twice a year tops and im always like wow why dont i come here more..too expensive for the little quality food you get

Best NY System in RI several times... Absolute best in Easy Bay Area of the State... Clean, great service, the real deal. Open for breakfast as well. Highly recommended from a frequent flyer!!

Ive been going to Rods since i was young,it was a every saturday lunch with the boys..wieners were cheap and great(4 with the works please)...the addys burger and chicken deluxe sandwich were also a favorite..I have to say in the last 5-10 years the prices have defiantly gone up way too much and the quality has gone down...the best thing going now is free refills...if i do go which is maybe once a year get ready to spend a quick 20 for a non-flavorful burger,2 dogs with a bland sauce and a drink(but you do get free refills)..the service is good and they all have been there since i remember

Above-average greasy spoon with excellent wieners, bolo breakfast sandwiches, home fries and really friendly service. They have both fried and grilled homefries, and the grilled ones are lathered in a delicious rosemary mix.. The best!

I moved to Rhode Island 3 years ago, and since that time I've been on a mission to find a half-way decent chili dog. After trying dogs at about 30 places I eventually gave up. I was shocked that no place in Rhode Island could even make a moderately tasty dog. But today I came across Rod's Grill by luck (there was no parking on Main St. in Warren, so I parked on the side street that Rod's is on). It was lunch time so I figured I'd give them a try, and I'm glad that I did. For the first time in three years, I have actually had a good chili sauce. It wasn't watery like so many other places in Rhode Island. Also, it looked and tasted like real beef, unlike the mystery meat that most hot dog places in Rhode Island use. Sadly the quality of the dog was sub-par, but the sauce more than made up for that. I was also glad that they brew their own iced tea (which is something that I've been seeing at more and more restaurants lately). All in all, I will definitely be back again, though I don't know if I will ever try anything else on the menu.

Cheap eats, breakfast and grill- hot dogs, burgers, grilled chicken. free refills on the fountain drinks. The staff is nice once you get to know them, but don't expect them to refil your drink without your having to wave them over a couple of times. Cash only. Lots of townies, very casual, bar seating.

Greasy wiener joint. Wieners are great and so are the burgers. Try the Addy's burger - cheeseburger on a Portuguese sweet roll, banana peppers, lettuce and tomato. Staff is very surly. I've been going here for years and every time I go in it's like they've never seen me before. Gotta love RI.

I've eaten here a half-dozen times and was never impressed. It's a typical diner with inexpensive food. Despite that, I had a couple items that I thought were over-priced. The local paper has done several short articles about Rod's as if Rod's were some kind of local institution. After a while I figured out that those were fluff pieces (i.e., paid for by Rod's). This place is no institution, and the food is ordinary. One more thing: they don't close at the same time every day, so if you go in the late afternoon, you never know if they'll be open. I've never figured out why they do that.

I am a big Rod's fan. This place is dirt, I mean dirt, cheap. Fast service and good greasy fare. Love the weiners, I get them all the way with extra mustard. Really good little burgers here as well, they are small in size which I like. Good crisp fries which you have to order ala carte. Rod's has been around for a long time ,somewhere around 50 years, and is still very busy and clean, that tells you a lot about a place. Strange hours so check ahead. Definately give Rods a try for a quick lunch in Warren.
