Sadly, the clamcakes were awful. Lead lumps of fried dough. The fried fish was incredibly fresh, but wasn't crispy and just lacked that fish and chips yumminess.

Skips has always been my go-to seafood market from May to September. Freshest fish around, especially the swordfish. We recently tried the take out. The hot buttered lobster roll is stuffed with lobster and served with a toasted, light bun. Very, very good. Also ordered the onion rings which were not greasy and crispy. There are four casual tables with umbrellas and it is self-service. Highly recommend for a casual summer lunch.

We stopped for a quick bite to eat. The chowder was great. Good laid back atmosphere of dining on the pier. It was Saturday night and there was no way we could've gotten a table at Matunuck's. When we return to the area, we'll go here again as you can zip in and out and keep it low-key.

Great place for seafood. New to the scene I think in terms of serving meals. A lot less crowded than Jim's dock and way less crowded than matunick oyster house. On the water, great views.

Skip's Dock is your basic seafood market that will also cook the food for you if you desire. they have excellent shell fish and always have a selection of locally caught fish and lobsters on hand. Good parking in the lot out front.

Great, bare bones fish store right on the water. Excellent prices, good service, excellent, fresh shellfish. The only reason this isn't 5 stars in my book is because they take your order and grab your shellfish from the back. Of course you can then inspect it (it's amazingly fresh), but I'm used to at least picking my own littlenecks. That said, it's my go-to spot in RI for shellfish. I got littlenecks, steamers, and lb and 1/4 lobsters. Cash only, I believe.
