Absolutely love this place! Ive been coming here since 1995 and even though the owners have changed the foods still the same... PERFECT!! They have the best grinders and Pizza that the island has to offer... If your coming just to visit or if you live on the island Id go here and enjoy a good meal cooked by some great people!

We stopped at Steve's Famous Pizza on the way from Newport--as everywhere else was closed on Labor Day. But we stumbled on a gem...the subs were delicious (a steak bomb and chicken cutlet with all the toppings) and very freshly made. The pepperoni pizza is also really good--but I'd go back for the subs. Great value, really nice service...I think the owner served us, and she was quite pleasant--and chopping onions herself, so clearly very involved. It doesn't look like much from the front, but the food, service and clean surroundings are excellent.

GreAt food! We actually never ate here until recently and we haven't had a single complaint! The chicken bacon ranch pizza was absolutely to die for! 1,000,000,000,000 times better than north end!

Nice friendly people but the pizza is meh. Skimpy on the sauce and the cheese is a tad greasy and didn't' taste completely fresh.

Cyndy's BOTTOM LINE: Order the chourico grinder with cheese, onions, and peppers you will be in grinder heaven! I love the chourico grinder at Steve's Famous Pizza. There is a distinction between a grinder and a sub I don't know what it is other than geographic location, maybe semantics but I do know that the chourico grinder is delicious! The chourico grinder comes on a perfectly hand crafted lightly toasted bun, with a spread of tasty tomato sauce, a generous amount of thinly sliced seasoned chourico Portugese sausage, onions, peppers, and melted provolone - superb!!! We decided to share a large grinder and the person helping us was so nice by slicing and making it with half with cheese and serving it on separate plates without asking. The service is always friendly and good.

I have been there just twice. Once was a busy Friday night where we tried to get delivery but they said it was a long wait. We were close by so we just did pickup. They told us 30 minutes but upon showing up we had to wait at least another 10 minutes. The Chicken, BBQ ranch pizza was awesome, as were the Spicy Cauliflower bites. That experience was not bad considering it was obviously busy. The staff was quite friendly even. Fast forward to 2 days later. We made a large order with a couple of friends. A couple pizzas, salad, wings, calzone and a sub. Well one item was ordered as a Large pizza and they delivered it as a sub. Upon calling to see if they would fix the situation, they pretty much refused to make right on an error. Not sure who was working, but was far from the nice staff that we encountered a couple of nights prior. Claimed we were being rude trying to get the pizza when in fact there was an error. It sounded like they may have wanted to give a credit for another time, but that wasn't helping the situation as it was. All we wanted was for them to make good on the order because one friend was left without what they ordered. A credit for later was not going to put food on someones plate who didn't get what they ordered. That really is too bad, because we get from there at least once a weekend. I've only been twice and liked the food, but unfortunately I don't think my friend wants to give them business anymore if they can't do some simple customer service and fix an issue. It seems they have no problem throwing away a loyal customer who lives right across the way and orders from there alot. I guess we will be ordering from Carmelas or another place.

Very good pizza. Found it while searching yelp for pizza places. Went two nites in a row it was so good! A little greasy but just get a lot of napkins to soak up the grease. Crust is pretty good. It's a young crowd on football Friday nite and older crowd Sat nite. Enjoyed it both nites. Local hang out. Glad to find it.

I seriously enjoy this place. I may be biased because I know the owner, but my taste buds do not lie. Try sausage on your pizza. It's good. They have an extensive menu, but I stick to pizza.

This was the most boring pizza I have every eaten. I am new to the area and trying to find a good pizza should be fun. The crust was soggy, the tomato sauce had no flavor and neither did the onions! My mistake was buying a large pizza which meant I had leftovers - usually a good thing, right? Not so this time. I will probably throw it out - what a waste! I'm looking at all of the other reviews and maybe I just had a bad experience, but I'm not sure I want to chance another disappointment. Too expensive for experimentation.
