The ambiance, excluding the food, makes the a 5-star review. Add in the grub and we're talking a guaranteed good experience. There's a small parking lot next to the building but then there's ample parking along the public beach, which happens to be right across the street. You can sit on one of the many clean picnic tables and watch boats, jet skis, and schooners drift on by. It doesn't get much more quintessential New England than this. There's a good side menu with chicken, fish, and burgers. There's also ice cream products (which I didn't indulge in). I ordered the fish fillet with a side of onion rings. All that fried goodness cost about $9.50. The fish sandwich was amazing. It was a big cut of white fish (cod maybe?) and was cooked to perfection. There really wasn't much batter either, which I prefer. It was hot, juicy, and perfect. The onion rings were also good. They were cooked golden brown and were delicious. Next time, I will be getting ice cream. There are quite a few specialty flavors that seemed like they were right up my alley.

My experience was good here. I had a stuffie . I enjoyed very much along with s lemonade they called there own. It was a little to sweet for me but overall The kids loved it. I like that there's a nice area to sit out with clean picnic tables. It's across from a small town beach. They have the usual burgers ,shakes, fries and ice cream . There is a parking area which makes it easy to get in and out. I'd go back. They had portable bathrooms which I wouldn't use but that's just me. It doesn't look very good by the picnic area kinda cheap. That's my only objection to the place.

It was a great place to come for lunch while we were across the street at the beach. The kids all liked their food. My mom had a stuffie and she said it was good! I had the California Veggie melt and it was good, fresh! I ate mine without the bread to avoid the butter. If you are someone that wants something not so heavy than I would recommend ordering it without the bread. The lemon aid was good but it is a little thick! Order and pull up to a picnic bench

Great little spot! I wasn't expecting much, to be honest- I mean, it's literally a shack in Island Park being manned by teenagers. Lightening doesn't usually strike twice -know what I'm saying? But you know what? My chowder and stuffie were the best I've had on the island in ages and my husband (who is a picky mofo) thoroughly enjoyed his burger and onion rings. Also, I sort of felt like I was in an 80's teen movie the whole time I was there and I am not mad about that vibe, not one iota. Great place to take the kids, be a kid, or feel like a kid again. Schultzy's Shake Shack- I will see you soon!

Best clam cakes on the island!!! Great location. Super friendly staff. Even gave my dog a treat. Try the burgers, you won't be disappointed. I would definitely recommend this place over Flo's.

Recently stayed in Portsmouth for a week on vacation and we walked here for ice cream almost every night. They serve Giffords ice cream in a variety of delicious flavors and there weren't any complaints about any of the ones we tried. I did not order anything off of their regular food menu but others in my party did and said it was delicious. The picnic tables were clean, the trash wasn't overflowing and the staff working there was very pleasant!!

Clam Cakes, Quahogs and chowder blows Flo's away. Great location across from the beach. Nice picnic tables and for an ice cream shack the food is surprisingly great!

Took my 2 grand-daughters there 5 and 1 year old. Cost almost 8.00 for 2 very small single serve cups of ice cream. Will never go there again!

Very good burger and fries! Having sampled the menu we were very happy with the food and ice cream. The burger was fresh, had a great 1000 island dressing and crisp clean bacon. The ice cream was so so but the main course was delicious. The fries were very crisp and tasty not withstanding the creepy fry guy. I would take issue with the previous reviewer who complained about the lack of veggie options and gave this establishment 1 star. I mean let's try the food first and then review the place. I don't know too many burger / hot dog shacks that cater to vegetarians.

We saw a review in a local free magazine about this new establishment. We figured, what the heck? Let's give it a try for dinner! It took me two minutes to see that the menu was not only tiny, but the only vegetarian thing on the menu was French fries. That's it. Oh, and ice cream. Which we were not there for. No veggie burgers, no grilled cheese, nothing. We left. We will likely not be back. It really wouldn't be that hard to throw something vegetarian on the menu guys! I just gave you two suggestions!

My only regret is that we didn't try Schultz last season. The burger was excellent, hand made and cooked just enough for juices to run down your hand while eating. The fries are the thick cut, not my favorite, but they where fresh. We plan on coming back as often as we can until they close for the season!

Delicious hand-formed burgers. Crispy onion rings and creamy milk shakes. Doesn't get much better than this. Really friendly service.

Located right off the beach, Schultzy's offers a great variety of beach eats. Hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, clam chowder, and oh yeah, ice cream. They have a great variety of flavors. The service is fast and friendly and food is decently priced. The fry guy with the creepy mustache is a little disturbing, but after eating at Schultzy's you won't think twice about returning.

This place has delicious handmade burgers, and Gifford's ice cream which is INCREDIBLE. The menu has expanded to include salads, fish and chips, and more. The location is spectacular and they have family movie night once a week. This place is awesome, awesome, awesome!

Cute little place. Good burgers and fries. Clam chowder is really good! Perfect place to take kids - they loved the food and ice cream. Employees were really friendly.
