Playing in a soccer tournament at YSC Hatboro and had a couple hours to kill between games. We wanted a close place with food\drink and no smoking. We found Mike's York Street Bar & Grill. It was VERY crowded, the parking lot was packed...but our party of 7 got seated in a few minutes and had a server take our drink orders a couple minutes later. The place was hopping Saturday night around 8:30 but our server did a great job keeping up with her area, keeping drinks full and removing dirty plates\glasses in a timely matter. Being an older building\house refitted as a bar there are some nooks and crannies to explore, as well as the upstairs which is a banquet hall. The main bar area was packed and everyone seemed to be having a lovely time. Nice mix of people here on a Saturday night, nice mix of people getting their drink on and having a late dinner... We were here for a couple drinks and some apps before heading back to play soccer...so couldn't fully explore the menu...BUT...I saw a few things that looked REALLY good...behind us someone got the Chicken\Ribs combo, both looked yummy...His wife got the ribeye steak, which also looked good. Another table got the "steak bites" which looked like about half the ribeye cut up into chunks...again, this looked fabulous and made me rethink my order of "stingers" which are boneless buffalo wings...even tho they were good, the steak bites looked incredibly appetizing! We had a few drinks here too, and they do have a few "micro" brews on hand, but the overall beer selection is not overwhelming...But I will say, while everything pumpkin is still in style...please try the Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale with the rim dipped in caramel and brown sugar. Just don't eat the glass when you are done! Overall I really liked this place. Reminds me a bit of the Trappe Tavern but better lit\maintained. One complaint I have is the NO SMOKING policy. All the smokers are basically standing right outside the entrance puffing away so a lot of their smoke wafts right into the restaurant...Just hold your breath as you pass thru...Personally I'd want these people hanging out anywhere other than the main entrance. Big parking lot but it was so crowded we parked by the supermarket in the same shopping center.

We have been coming here for a little while for their happy hour which had a decent selection of half off food. We move from place to place to keep it fresh. Tonight we were informed that the selection was essentially cut in half from what was available. Not sure if this is a short term thing or not. May need to add a new place into the rotation.

If you want a really good steak at reasonable price, its here. This is my local go-to place when I want a good meal without cooking it myself. They have a good beer selection, and did I mention home made soups. And the wait staff is always on point, courteous and helpful. Today I had the Mikes steak , came with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies had the Octoberfest beer and soup of the day. everything was great.

I have been here twice and both times my food should have been sent back. The staff is very sweet and attentive. First, we ordered our appetizer (restaurant was not very busy) and waited nearly 20 mins for it to be brought out. When my dinner came my mashed potatoes were literally cold and my Chicken was far from hot. Two tables in the area sent their food back with flavor issues and temp issues. The waitress was great and so was everyone else but whoever was cooking was awful.

I have been here twice. And had absolutely great experiences both time. The ribs are the best ribs around no joke. Their French fries with the sour cream seasoning was delicious. Both times our waitress and waiter were both great, attenative, and friendly. My bf and I have found a place we love to go to. We will be back again

This review is for Mike's banquet service. I've attended a few showers at Mike's, and recently hosted a bridal shower there, and couldn't be happier. Definitely recommended for any type of shower, private party, etc. The lunch buffet food (at $16 a person) is delicious and plentiful. They serve a delicious beef and veggie stir fry, chicken dish, steamed veggies, baked ziti, cheesy potatoes, salad and rolls. It also comes with iced tea, coffee, and dessert choice of cheesecake or chocolate torte. We also got spinach dip and crudite platter for apps, and fruit tray to go with dessert. All recommended. Everyone seemed to agree they were happy with the food, and our server kept replenishing dishes when needed without hesitation. Hazel whom I worked with before the event was very helpful and easy to work with, making sure all the details were covered. Our server was equally helpful, providing needed service unobtrusively throughout the shower. They have 2 rooms, and while both are very nice, they can be cramped if you have the max number of people. We had the larger room which is for 40 or more people -- but more than 40 would feel crowded. And it didn't feel like too much space at all for our group of 27. So if you're debating between the smaller and larger rooms, I'd suggest the larger. Everyone agreed that Mike's was a great location for the shower. It has all everything - nice private room, great service, easy to work with, great food, ample parking, and reasonably priced. Perfect!

So glad we came here for a late afternoon dinner (Linner)! We were all tired from being out all day and we just wanted a good meal. We got that here and then some. The service was really good, and we were impressed with the quality of the food. Not pricey either! Highly recommend Mike's if you're in the area - you won't be disappointed.

Get the crab cakes!!! They are amazing and keep me coming back. Service can be a hit or miss but their food is fantastic!

Want to meet up with some friends for lunch, watch a Phillies game, or just drink some beer.....Mike's is the place. Stationed at the corner of York and Street roads, Mike's is a cozy place that offers a decent lunch and dinner menu. One of my favorite features at Mike's is the outdoor dining area, something that most eateris in the vicinity don't have. The entire patio is covered by an awning and overhead fans provide a nice breeze that keeps diners and their drinks cool. Their entire menu is available for take-out so feel free to call ( or order on their website) and get your meal to go. Enjoy!

Stopped here on the way home from NJ finally and I have to say it was OK. Nothing great, nothing bad...just OK. Average sandwiches, average appetizers and average service. The place wasn't crowded at all on a Friday afternoon and they had a private party upstairs. It's a good place or so it appears for a game or to watch some sports at the bar.

Mike's has a friendly atmosphere and their food is ample and varied. They have one of the most convenient locations as you can access it from simply making it down to the intersection of Street Road or 263/York. It's great for meeting up with groups and watching big games on the TV down in the lower bucks burbs. I give it three stars and a golf clap.

Local eatery with average food. It was hit-or-miss. Fish and chips were frozen - blah taste. Crab cake rolled in panko crumbs - small, fair to good. Crab dip - good. Sorry, not much else to stay. First visit. I don't plan on coming back.

Used to stop at Mikes fairly often after work with the guys when we were working a little further up Street Rd. The food was always OK, never anything great but it is reasonably priced. After all it's a bar & grill, you're not expecting a culinary masterpiece. The bar has a decent selection of beers on tap and they put out free wings and other appetizers during happy hour which is a nice touch. The wings are just OK, but since I was usually getting them free I won't complain. In conclusion Mike's is a pretty good place to go and grab a couple beers and relax after a long day.

4 stars for the value. Excellent burgers, sauces and appetizers were all very tasty, cool colonial building, tap beer, good service. Prices more than reasonable.

I am basing my review on 1 experience and not sure I will be back.. Servcie was way slow and in experienced. I hear everyone talking about home made food and I dare to say no way. The bbq chicken for the nachos was straight out of a plastic container you find at ACME, they advertise their crab cakes are from Bobby Chez's and other than that the food seems bleh.. One score is for the kids eat free..

We came here for lunch and we were very happy with this place. There was a pretty run of the mill lunch menu, but the food was done well. I had the Club and it was huge. The waitress was on top of it with refills. We come here again for sure.

Food was tasty, unfortubatly the waitress decided to talk to a relative at the next table for 15 minutes, our dinner took forever.... Had the fish taco which was very small for the price. Burgers are very good.

Great place to watch a Phillies or Flyers game. Decent beer selection, reasonable prices, roomy booths, lots of TVs, patio seating for those 6 or 7 days a year the weather's beautiful. Also, the fries and buffalo chicken wrap are amazing. Nice alternative to Crapplebees or Friday's.

Went here for the first time after driving past it for the last 10 years of my life. I didn't find anything that great about it. The service was OK. She seemed like she was in a hurry. We were trying to order drinks and she just started walking away. I figured she'd want us to order drinks? More money on the bill, more tip for her. After that though she was better. I got the crab cake sandwich with house-made chips. The crab cake was, without a doubt, from a box in the frozen food aisle from the grocery store next door. As far as the chips, way too much salt. I love chips and I love salt. For me to say there was too much salt is pretty bad. This experience was only for dinner. We didn't wander into the bar area. I'd probably have to say that I would never go here again. Nothing special about it and especially with so many better restaurants in the area it's not really worth trying again.

Mike's is a large smoke free sports bar. Its an older building with exposed stone walls and has several different dining areas. In the lower dining room there is a massive stone fire place that is pretty impressive. I was there for a rehearsal dinner so we had a buffet and I didn't get to order off the menu. They don't have a large beer selection but I would stop in if i'm in the area again.

The food was excellent and not over priced. The service was great! Everyone was very friendly. Stayed for karaoke and had a great time in the bar. I accidentally left my debit card there and didn't notice for two days. When I called to ask about it, they said that they had found it and it was locked in the office for safe keeping. Highly recommend this place for a great night out!

A group of 6 came here for lunch. We ordered loaded fries as our app and quesadillas and burgers as our entree. It took 30mins for the fries to come out, too long. They were nothing special, but decent. It took another 30mins for the rest to come out. The burger was overcooked and the quesadillas were luke-warm and soggy. We ordered the cheesesteak one, veggie one and buffalo chicken. The quesadillas were very small for the price. I got the cheesesteak and it seemed to be very low grade meat, more like steakums. Service was ok. We had to ask for refills and napkins. When the waitress asked if I wanted a box for the rest of my meal (I ate very little of it), I told her no because it was not good. She didn't apologize or offer a discount. I would not go back.

Place to go for ok brews and bar food. Inside seems dark, dated and dingy (especially if they seat you in the cellar). They do have a patio option so that addresses that issue. The wings, burgers, sandwiches are good. Fries are excellent. Service is fair as well as the prices. They used to have Kids Eat Free (Mon-Thurs), but looks like that's now just on Wed. Oh well, I guess I know what day to go if I'm in the mood for Mike's.

I really enjoyed the food here. Buffalo quesadillas, garden salad and a cheeseburger were ordered. My husband and I enjoyed everything. The only problem with the place was our waitress. She was nice but was more interested in the table next to us. She took our order , brought us drinks and disappeared. She reappeared, sitting at the table next to us. Apparently they were friends, maybe if she checked on us , we could've worked on a friendship. Food was great. Brought out hot by another waiter. (Thanks buddy) It took forever to get our check, that sucked some of the fun out of it. Whatever, I'm a glutton for punishment. I'd go back. The food was worth it.

Ordered a medium rare burger and got a well done, the waitress never came back to ask how it was. Not the norm. We won't be in her section again

We've been coming here for years and always found them to offer a consistently, good meal, until recently. Last month, we had a bad experience and when we discussed this with our waitress, we were told it was a "new cook" and rather than a yelp review, she implored us to write a negative internal review which would be addressed at their weekly meeting; she asked us to return because our bad experience was an exception. Well, we returned this evening and it made our last experience look good. There was absolutely nothing good about our dining experience tonight. The portions were significantly reduced and our chicken was really undertone -- twice. It's unfortunate but we will not return. Mike's York Street used to be a great, "go-to" local restaurant, in our opinion....that's all changed.

I went there for the first time last night and will be back. There are only two reasons why this place didn't get five stars from me; one being that they have a boring draught selection and the second being slow service. However I had a buffalo chicken quesadilla which was delicious. Plus their drinks are not bad for the price, and I recommend a Tom's Tea to anyone in search of a good drink (it's a Long Island Iced Tea but they use raspberry tea in the recipe). In fact, all of our mixed drinks were top notch. If you're a beer snob without a palate for any other alcohol, then avoid this place because you will be disappointed. If you want some good drinks and bar grub then you should give it a shot.

Hubby took me out for impromptu date night! Star Trek and dinner. We were cas mode so we decided to stop at Mike's. I'd never been so why not!? We decided to sit outside but had to walk inside to be seated first. My first impression wasn't good. It smelled like mildew. normally I'd have been outta there but.... So we go outside. Our server was AMAZING. Laura is here name. She checked on us often enough not to be annoying. and was really on her game. I wanted to get blackened tuna, but I thought if it wasn't cooked right, I'd be pissed off and never come back. Laura recommended the burger. We got the sampler for an appy. Can you say-AWESOME potato skins? I can. They were fabulous. I got the burger with bacon, cheese and fried onions, and added roasted peppers YUMMMMMMM. jim got the Texas burger. again YUMMMM. Fires were awesome, as were the onion petals. Frankly, if they get the mildew smell out, they've got me for pub food. Otherwise they only get me in nice weather. Really Really solid.

Not the best crab dip I've had...too watered down and needs seasoned. The steak bites were chewy. Burgers were cooked to temp but needed seasoning. Onion petals and fries from a bag.

  • Mike K.

Yeah, three stars is exactly what this place deserves. If you're looking for a place to have a beer its fine. If you're looking to have a burger it's fine. It's fine, that's it. Everything about it is mediocre. It reminds me of places like Applebee's or TGI Fridays except with less annoying trash on the walls. The food is OK. I've had a hamburger and chicken parm there which were decent. The service is standard and it has a good bar atmosphere. Can't say I don't like it but it's nothing special.

A regular spot to grab a bite to eat and a nice cold one! Friendly service, ample parking, some outdoor seating and a nice bar scene along with a quaint and quiet restaurant seating area. Aside from the run-of-the-mill appetizer selection, the boneless chicken wings are terrific. Love the ribs and crabcake entrees. Prices are surprisingly afforable for the quality of food. I've had Mike's cater an off-site party, and have been to events in their upstairs banquet room. Both events were excellent - everyone who attended the off-premises event wanted to know where the food came from. They did a surprisingly nice filet mignon. The on-premise event was also nice, with the bar set aside from the dining area, and it's a good size room for groups of not more than 80 or so people. Food was so good I wished I had my tupperware containers to stash them full of the leftovers!

I loved Mikes however their staff (mainly their hostesses) are BEYOND lazy. Once I had to sit myself with carrying the menu and silver. Another time when I did take out I was stuck waiting at the bar cause the girls were too busy gossiping. Food is typically good. Last time they gave me a cold burger with onions when im allergic. Another time they gave me an extremely burnt burger. My rating has gone down on this place.

  • Jess S.

The food is ok, little pricey for the quality. Pick and choose what you get and you'll be ok. The karaoke on Saturdays is entertaining and not too busy if you are looking to sing. The bartenders are attentive and pretty quick to make sure you have a drink.

  • Alex S.

My girlfriend and I went there twice for happy hour....we couldn't really find anything that we liked....the food wasn't that good and the drink selection was blahh....I WOULDNT recommend going here....if you want to go to a good happy hour place, go to steam on second street pike, its worth the trip!!

Mike's is a nice restaurant/bar in a building which is pretty old by US standards. This place is frequented by many locals and has a lot to offer on the diverse menu. I had a Texas Burger which was pretty weak overall. Wing sauce on a cheese burger. Not really a Texas Burger. The cheese fries were a great treat (which I haven't had in a LOOOOOONG time). So cheesy. Thankfully, my table mates helped finish the appetizer. Others had steak, which they enjoyed and I understand they have a pretty decent Philly cheese steak.

3rd visit: amazing pulled bbq pork flatbread! 4th visit: very sad to see they no longer have the bbq flatbread on the menu! burger was ok, fries were good, service was ok but a little slow and had to ask for napkins & silverware

Blah, not sure what else to say. We went here for a quick bite when our spawn was occupied at a nearby birthday party. We were hoping for a nice appetizer, drinks and dessert. I was underwhelmed by the beer selection. Granted, I am a beer snob and this place had only domestic cheap beer. Nothing on the craft end except one Sierra Nevada offering. So I passed on the beer and went for soda. My wife wanted fish and chips, but not the large portion. So she asked if she could order a child's size- the answer was no. She ordered clams instead. I ordered mozerella sticks and they were ok. I've had better. The sauce was good. We then went to dessert and ordered cheesecake and a peanut butter pie. I had the cheesecake and was underwhelmed. Granted, at that point I was a bit nervous about my dessert due to my wifes. Her pie came back with a quarter sized green spot on the side, yes it was mold. It was taken back quickly upon notice. The dessert menu was reviewed again. My wife only ordered the same pie if they could assure it was fresh. They said the manager indicated the piece is from a new pie. They did comp. the pie my wife ordered. The atmosphere: The floor was dirty and some dust could be seen on decorations in the barn like building. I liked the stone interior walls. Smells like ketchup when you first go inside. Staff appear friendly and helpful. It is a loud place and appears kid friendly.

We have been hear quite a few times. The food has always been good. The loaded fries are huge and the wings tasty. The service however was not on par. We were told that we could t replace fries with a side salad, and had to wait about 20 mins to get our check.

My boyfriend lives in Hatboro and so far this is the best non-smoking, sports bar I've been able to find within a close vicinity to his house. They have a pretty large menu for a bar and their fries are AWESOME. They make them like sour cream and onion chips, but in french fry form. In addition, Mike's is a good place to watch a sports game. They have a lot of TVs in the bar area and we've been able to find good seats each time we've gone in to watch a game. In the handful of times I've been to Mike's I thought the service was very attentive and I've always liked what I ate. I've had the steamed clams, the fries (obviously), the caesar salad, the french onion soup, and the burger and all were up to par in my opinion. My boyfriend has seemed to have enjoyed his meals equally. We will definitely go back.

I have to say.... they have some of the best french fries I've ever tasted. Seriously... yum. This place overall is pretty good, especially if you're going to sit in the bar and watch a game. The staff I have found is very friendly and attentive. The menu isn't that extensive... a lot of the usual stuff - nothing that great (fries excluded!) I enjoy coming here... plus they have outdoor seating! Yeah!!

Was there for lunch, 11/1/12. Had a pick two special. The best part was the house made potato chips! Followed by an average turkey club and a cup of salt that they call chili. I would have said something to the server about the chili flavored salt lick if I thought anyone in the building cared enough to correct the problem, not only with me, but in the kitchen as well. Now I know why I don't regularly dine there.

Great spot for burgers. Had "The Burger" for lunch, it was delicious. Angus beef and short rib meat grinded together into one burger, yeah. Topped it off with some Longtrail IPA, very good combo.

This place needs to clean the food out of the benches. The southwest salad was a small portion for an entree and it had old sour tasting tomatoes and brown celery. Not sure if I'll go back here. French dip was okay with homemade potatoe chips.

Mike's York Street Bar & Grill is a sports bar and restaurant in Bucks County. They have happy hours and weekly bar specials worth checking out, including karaoke Saturdays. Mike's used to be Pronto, an Italian restaurant (anyone remember that?). Not sure if they merely underwent a name change and menu adjustment, but regardless, their food is still good. Standouts on their menu include their St. Louis style ribs ($15 for a half rack) and the chicken vodka penne ($12, with chicken) with a tomato vodka sauce. I've been here several times with family and never had problems with service. For large parties, banquet rooms are available, just send a message via their site or call for details. Speaking of their site, you can order food from it, the link is: mikesyorkstreetbarandgri…

Mike's is a friendly neighborhood sports bar and restaurant. They are so serious about their sports that the dining rooms have TVs in them, in fact they have twenty one TVs in the bar and restaurant. Can't miss the game! They have continually been voted best of Buck's County for their sports bar and their ribs. They also have a banquet room upstairs. Bar events, live bands, DJ's and happy hour. Their menu has so many offerings of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees. They do have great ribs and burgers and they prepare an awesome fish and chips using cod from the Cape! Appetizers are not very inventive and is typical bar grub, however their sandwiches and entrees are. "Homemade" food it is like Mom's meatloaf and real garlic mashed potatoes. Steaks, BBQ chicken and they are known for their crab cakes. Give them a try: Kids eat free Monday thru Friday, two kids per one adult meal. mikesyorkstreetbarandgri…

Mike's is a really nice local restaurant and bar. Good variety of food on the menu, large portions, and reasonable prices. The bar is a good size with a nice draught selection. They have a really good free snack mix there too. They are family friendly, and kids eat free on Mondays from 4pm to 7pm. The atmosphere is casual, with lots of TVs around the dining area. We've eaten here many times and have yet to find a bad dish. The burgers and steaks are very good. If you're looking for something lighter, the salads are good too.
