This place does not look like much but I have come to regard it as one of my favorite places to dine. For the most part this is a take out joint but there are about 8-10 tables in the recently refurbished dining area. Once known for its beer selection, it is now BYOB which to me is a plus. Just stop at their sister location, Northside, and pick up a 6 pack on your way there. The specials are always good and very creative and the service is adequate and friendly. On the whole, the food at Ortino's is better than Northside and more reasonably priced. The pasta dishes are excellent and the pizza ranks with the better pies in the area. But again, look for the specials which is where this restaurant shines.

Nasty pizza tonight from options. Figured we give their Wednesday night special a try. Won't be back.

Not fancy, but family oriented "Cheers" like atmosphere, where the owners know your name. Great food, reasonably priced and you can get GREAT takeout, if you don't want to "eat in" the cozy, newly remodeled dining room. The place is going BYOB, which will be a nice affordable option in the future! My family LOVEs this place! Our definite "go To" in the area! Great menu, terrific homemade dressings, great salads, soups, daily specials, and Italian offerings! Love, love, love the food! Generous portions and a friendly atmosphere!

This place is really bad in general from the food, to the customer service, to the general ambience. They don't take credit cards, which is annoying already, but when I called to place an order I wanted to know the total to make sure I had cash. The guy taking my order seemed really bothered by this question and I explained that I just wanted to know since I can't just hand over my visa and need cash. He replied that I could always use the ATM on premises. Yeah, ok pal, I'll pay a 3.99 fee or something just so you can make an extra few bucks. Thanks for the helpful tip. The food is also poor. You get what you pay for with the 7.99 pizza special, that's for sure. Everything I have gotten here has been bad including cheese steaks, chicken parm sandwiches and salads. Drive another mile up the road to Moccia's for a much better experience all around. Cramped dining room with questionable wait staff also.

My friends and I have been coming here for at least 10 years now. We are a bicycle group that rides the Perkiomen Trail from Audubon to Schwenksville. Ortino's is the halfway point and that's where we have dinner before returning. Our meal at Ortino's is the highlight of the ride! The food, no matter what we order, is great! The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. We've gotten to know Linda and her husband John, very well, and they're both great people. The cooks are excellent and we've never once had a bad meal there. If I know we'll have a large group of riders, I'll call or email the day before just to give them a heads up. Linda will have a large table ready for us with pitchers of ice water and cups waiting for us! On a hot day, that gesture is certainly appreciated! Besides their regular menu, there's always a sheet of the Specials of the Day that are worth considering. There are so many things from which to choose that it's sometimes hard to make a decision. But, no matter what we order, everyone is happy and full by the end of the meal. Give this place a try next time you're in the area. You won't be disappointed!

We've been happy to have Ortino's in town, where we have been able to get a good meal for a very reasonable price. Ignore reviewer Mike M. who gets off degrading the staff with personal insults, it's childish. It's a great little place with a nice beer selection run by people who take pride.

The food is ok and so is the beer selection. Credit cards aren't accepted and as for the reviews about good service we didn't experience that. We listened to a waitress who must also be a manager quiz a job candidate on if her personal life would impact her ability to come to work.....it was awkward to sit through plus the longer the conversation went....the longer we waited for service.

Ortino's is awesome. One my favorite "hole in the wall" places to eat. The baked ziti is the best, the specials change all the time, and all the basics pizza, sandwhiches etc. are great. Oh yeah the desserts are home made and to die for to. Discover this place. Great food!!!!

The online prices are wrong so when you order - plan on paying double. Extremely disappointed in the service we received once complaining that the prices were wrong. They didn't do anything to compensate for the mistake in fact they even charged an extra 1.50 for dressing when I specifically said I only wanted it if it was included.

Ortinos is amazing! I love this place the food is always to die for no matter what I'm getting and the service is always on point! My favorite dish from this place is the Seafood fiesta. Then to finish it off I get the worlds best coconut cream pie! I love this restaurant really one of my favorite places

The classic neighborhood pizza place but with heart. Great pizza, the best cheese steaks. But Don't miss the entrees they are surprisingly good for a small pizza shop. John and Linda care and it shows. Also John is a beer nut the selection is amazing and constantly changing.

If I had to sum up my experience in one word it would be...YUM! First time here (8/16/13) and I was pleasantly surprised. From the outside, it def. looked look a take-out pizza joint and didn't expect much more than that. BUT, they have a wide variety of offerings on the menu- from apps, salads, burgers and sandwiches to daily specials and entrees. Plenty of beverages to choose from as well- from bottled water and sodas to a great choice in beers :) Prices couldn't be beat either. And the desserts...wow! We had the coconut custard pie. Can't say enough about how delicious this was. Never had it and might never order again from anywhere else for fear of knowing that it will never match up to the one I had at Ortino's. I do not live in the area so I'm not sure when I'll be getting back there but for anyone passing through that area or living in the general vicinity- check it out! You can tell it's family owned and operated. They were on hand and super friendly! No, they do not take credit cards, but they do have an ATM onsite so obtaining cash shouldn't be a problem if you didn't bring any (as was my case...LOL!) I agree with another review, if you are looking to dress up and eat at schwanky establishment, I would choose elsewhere. But, if you want good food at decent prices, I would give Ortino's a chance. :)

If you want run of the mill service, don't come here. If you want service that leave you inviting the waitress to your next party, you want Linda. While the uptight may be put off, ortino's delivers a dining experience that's like a warm blanket on a cold day. And the beer selection is unbelievable. You won't leave disappointed. Or hungry.

If you live in the area the do have the best cheese steaks around. The other two places that serve them tastes like hot garbage. Beer selection is fantastic. No they aren't the most well groomed establishment so if you are going to get dressed and go out, go to Skippack. If you are local and want take out this is the best in town.

The food is okay...nothing stands out. The beer selection is the star of the show here. If you like Coors Light because of its drinkability, then stay away. Ortino's (Northside) is for serious beer lovers only.

Where to begin....with the filthy floor and open kitchen area or the cooks sweating into the food...so many choices...so little time. Typical hole in the wall pizza, hoagie and cheeseteak shop in terms of food. Yes, yes, I know they have a dining room and yes, I know they have entrees there as well...but one look at the sweat dripping into the saute pans as they are manned by the well mannered and friendly cooks should be enough to convince anyone NOT to eat the entrees (unless that turns you on in some sick twisted way). As far as I can ascertain, the only thing going for this place is the beer selection. The owner John is a beer FREAK! He has a few select local brews on tap and two (2) cases filled with very eclectic and "what's hot now" beers. As a beer freak myself, I can tell you that I have spent many a time chatting John up about his selections and our shared likes and dislikes. BEWARE of the wife...she spent time on QVC as a women's robe model and on the local cable access channel as an "around the town" type personality. Too bad she doesnt have one. From what I can tell all she truly does is walk around and preen for the customers. Hell, I could go to the zoo and see birds do that...but then I would miss out on tonights special "Sweat Italian Sausage and Peppers"....YUMM. -- Oh....and if you still choose to brave the sweat soaked entrees and grimy walls and floor, you can safely leave home without your american express card or any other card for that matter as they are a cash only business (I would LOVE to see their double set of books).
