First time here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Order at the counter, the. Serve you at your table. Price was a little higher than I thought but the quality was awesome. Vegetables and other toppings were very fresh and the burger was very very good. I would definitely come back.

8.1/10.0 Jake's Wayback Burgers reminds me of a "not-quite-on-the-same-level-little-brother-of-5-Guys". I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean it in a good way. And I'm not a "5 Guys is the end-all" type of person. I just think it's a solid burger chain that does fast-food the right way (I've come to accept that there can be such a thing, and 5 Guys does it). Jake's Wayback definitely does it too. Juicy and fresh burgers however you'd like them. Staff is always friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quick burger that you can count on to be fresh and delicious in the Schnecksville area, you can get it here.

I have been to this restaurant location 2 times and that was all it took for me to not go to five guys anymore. Jake's burger is juicy and their toppings are fresh. They use green leaf lettuce and good quality pickles and tomatoes. The homemade chips are fantastic. I tried the jake's burger for the first time and it was really good. A single party does make a perfect meal but the double party was calling to us today. I am not going to pretend it is the greatest burger I ever ate because it wouldn't be true. But it is the best counter service burger I have had in this area. The 3 of us ate for $20. My 3 year old really likes he burger here he likes mustard and pickle on his burger. I think the kids meal is priced right. The milkshakes are really good. We tried a chocolate one. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is consistent. I live within walking distance of the five guys and it is my pleasure to drive 10 minutes to get here. Also you can pre-order online which is pretty nice. I am sure we will be here a bunch in the spring, summer and fall for lunch after we go to the zoo.

The homemade chips are delicious. A cool thing is that you can order online and then just pick up :) Milkshakes are very very good.

5 Guys is better, although the milkshake was good.

As others have mentioned, this is a good alternative to Five Guys. However, they do have milkshakes here, something 5G lacks.

I tried this place for the first time, and was not that impressed with the food. At the best, it was average. I would rather spend a little more money and head over to Five Guys and a Burger.

Very good made-to-order burger joint. Black and white shake is good. It's very similar to Five Guys. Wish they had a few booths. Will definitely return.

Left without my food. Register person was rude and didn't even greet me. The whole place was filled with people that didn't have their order. The kitchen staff was lost and had no idea what they were doing. I waited so long that I had to leave or I would be late for my Daughter's recital. This place really needs a lot of help.

If you want a good burger skip this place and go to Five Guys. The burger was nothing special, kind of bland. The fries and onion rings were nothing special as well. The restaurant was kind of dirty with garbage on the floor and trash cans overflowing. I wouldn't go back here when I can get a much better burger at many other places for the same price.

I guess in the area the appropriate place to compare Jake's to would be 5 Guys so here we go: Staff: The staff was friendly enough in explaining the menu and while there is no yelling of "Got It" after you order they more than make up for that non sense by bringing your order out to your table which is something that 5 Guys does not do. Menu: Both menus are similar but Jake's offers more variety with Turkey & Garden Burgers along with Chicken items and Milk Shakes. Flavor: Even though I'm not really a fan of the fries at 5 Guys, their fries are still better than Jake's and I think that may have something to do either with the freshness of the fries or the oil that their cooked in because to me Jake's are not good. On the other hand the burger and the bun were surprisingly good. The bun is non-seeded and honestly a bit too large for the burger but it was soft and was an appropriate accompaniment for the burger. The burger itself was to me a 100% 5 Guys clone or 5 Guys is a 100% Jake's clone as I couldn't tell a difference in flavor or texture between the two. Price: Prices are similar although I believe that Jake's might be a tad more expensive but either way it's pretty much a push between the two on this point. Decor: The inside of the store is laid out simple with one TV on in the corner set to ESPN and there are several regular and high topped tables with the overall seating capacity being somewhere around 50. One thing that is a huge positive is that while they do play music in the store, at least while we were there, everything was of a more appropriate nature from the 50's and 60's as opposed to 5 Guys who plays stuff from the 70's and 80's that regularly include songs with profane lyrics (i.e. F*&^ and S$*^). Overall Jake's was a pleasant surprise as the food was of a good quality and while I didn't like the fries, everybody else in our group had the house-made chips and all vouched for their flavor so I would imagine that we'll be back in the near future.

Decent burgers, lousy fries/cheesefries and chips. Not a great price and overall not a good meal. Wouldn't go back.

I am a big fan of their burgers. We don't have many fast food places out our way, so their burgers remind me of Wendy's but better. I had a Five Guys once and I like Jake's better and they are cheaper than Five Guys. You can get the Junior burgers (which comes with one patty on it) or get the Jakes burger (which has two patties on one sandwich), or if you are daring get the big Jakes (which has three patties on one). My husband and I are satisfied with the Juniors because we also get their homemade potato chips! SO GOOD!!! You can also get BBQ seasoning on them. Highly recommend stopping in for a burger to try it at least once. You got to love the retro feel of the place too.

First time here... Little higher prices than I expected but over all the phone is good. Had the pretzel burger, good choice. The chili cheese fries are enough for four people! The staff was all teens, very nice kids.

Oh yeah! Finally made it back and boy have I missed this place ! I ordered the Triple and it's not a good burger, IT'S A DAMN GOOD BURGER! You build it yourself and mine had ketchup, mustard, 2 slices of cheese, raw onion, lettuce and some buffalo blue dressing to make it weird. The bun, the cooked meat, PERFECT!! Don't know about the rest of the menu cause Im here for the Burger. I'm going to prepare myself cause the time I come in I'm doing a Randy Santel and ordering the Triple Triple.

Don't even deserve a star. 18 minutes and I watched 20 burgers go into the trash. I ordered a veggie burger which they totally overlooked. So disorganized. Don't know how they are open Now I've gotten a response claiming there was a group of teachers in there for a conference. That is completely untrue. And yes it was overlooked because the cook himself said oh I totally forgot about it.

Well it's about time we got a burger shop that has good food there burgers are awesome and there chili cheese fries are great cool little spot up 309 perfect for after I was my car with my friends and grabbing a bite service is great and I love that they bring it to you seat like a inside car spot. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it would be perfect if they had some deals or specials. But I will definitely go back and have.

Place is not to bad! The burger was greasy to hell but good. Little skimpy on the onion rings and little expensive for a burger. Other than that a nice lunch stop.
