Note: This Long John Silver's also offers A&W items. In an attempt to avoid overpriced food at a music venue, we stopped here prior to the Social Distortion concert at Stage AE. It was cheap, and I had been wanting to sample the mildly intriguing (to me for some reason) A&W for a little while now. I wasn't expecting much, and got what I expected. The bacon cheeseburger was a rung below its counterpart over at The Redhead. The bun fell apart halfway through, the patty was somewhat dry, but the veggies were fresh, and bacon is just plain hard to botch. The fries were fries, but there was Heinz vinegar at the table to make things slightly more interesting. I figured I might as well try the ice cream too, so I went for a hot fudge sundae. And I got just it ten minutes later! Five minutes after that, and it was nothing more than bad vichyssoise. Long John Silver's: A franchise I despise. A bite from one of Kay's fried shrimp reignited that hatred, one that dates back to early childhood for reasons I can't quite remember. Oh wait, the mist is lifting, I remember now. The food sucked. That's why. Even as a lad I was...discerning. My poor, poor parents...

It's your typical Long John Silver's but I will say that they take FOREVER!!! Only go here if you plan on waiting for a while or you have some time to burn.

Yuck! Before I bitch the place was pretty clean. Well I got the new grilled fish. I've had better out of a tv dinner. All the crap and I mean crap that came with it. Tasted like the fish. The rice & vegies tasted like they had been sitting under the fish for hours. I would have complained but two other people were already at the counter bitching. Not to mention it was $10. WTF I went down the street and got a hodog. They also have an a&w built in but the hell with this dump.

I ate lunch here MANY times when I worked in Ratchester. Like Bryan said, it's fast food, you should know what to expect. That said, I was rarely disappointed, The fish was hot, the A&W items were pretty good for fast food. If you want a tip, go to a place like this during the hours when they are fairly busy and the food is turning over and you'll get hot, fresh items. If you're waiting on your food, then you are getting fresher foods and that means everything when it's deep-fried.

I think there should be two rating systems for restaurants. One for real food and one for fast food. I am always humored by those who bitch about food quality at a fast food restaurants. It's as if you are expecting Ruth's Christ for $7 a meal. Folks it is fast, convenient, high calorie, greasy and unhealthy food. If you go there expecting something else, well that's just a burden you have to bear and you should see a specialist about lowering the stress levels in your life If you want mom's quality cooking......GO HOME. Although based on the number of blue hairs I see here, your momma is probably already here along w grandma My biggest complaint is how much grease I get on the screen of my smart phone while trying to type this review and having forgot to wipe my fingers on my pants leg.

Nothing spectacular place is clean food is about the same as every other Long Johns you go to. Has a big selection of A&W Items. Good if your not in the mood for anything else.
