The pizza was okay. Not as good as I expected. If you like theis type of pizza try pizza house pizza aka police station pizza in ambridge pa they have the best square pizza. Buzzi's pizza crust reminded me of a cracker.

I get to Rochester about once a year and always stop at Buzzi's. There is something about the homemade style of this pizza that matches no other. The crust is both thick and crunchy, and being square cut you get both edge pieces with lots of crunch or middle pieces that are all cheesy goodness. The sauce is tangy and savory with just the right spices. The cheese is alway melty and perfect. I will continue making this a yearly stop and if I lived here it would probably be weekly. It's that good. And if seeing a shop entirely staffed with high school kids puts you off, I've never been met with anything but total politeness and good manners here. Oh, and if you order ten pieces you get two free. How cool is that? It's cash only, so stop at the ATM on the way. I give Buzzi's 5 stars and a full happy belly. :)

You know, pizza is famous. In Italy, In New York, In Chicago. Buzzi's goes way way back to the 70's - and like all good pizza in western PA, it's square and small, and tangy, and really cheesy, and really really really good stuff. That -- you can only get in western PA -- as near as I can tell. yes, Buzzi's goes back to memories of band and Glenn Miller - not the famous Big Band Leader - just has the same name - I think it was his favorite place for pizza. And that's saying a lot for a fellow Beaverite from the 70's and a good neighbor. I digress. Yes, there was Famous Pizza in Beaver - gone. And there's a really good square pizza place in Ambridge - still there. But, Buzzi's is special. Been around forever!!! And their pepperoni's are different - being smaller - and just a tad spicier - than any other pepperoni I've ever had on a pizza. The plain cheese is also Delicious with a capital D. Yep, do yourselves a favor, enjoy some Buzzi's pizza next time you're in the mood for some outstanding square pizza in western PA.

Note #1: CASH ONLY. Note #2: Buzzi's is exclusively takeout and does not offer delivery or dine-in options. Note #3: I saw nothing but pizza on the menu. Note #4: Buzzi's opens at 4PM daily, but they don't seem to have a set-in-stone closing time. Yet again we found a specimen of what I have deemed the Beaver Valley Pizza Pie, only that it was amply topped with cheese and had a crust that wasn't as puffy as others I've tried in the region. However, it was typically square and crunchy. Aside from a very nice, rich, snappy, deep red sauce in which herbs were highly visible, the two cuts of pizza (Buzzi's only sells cuts in even numbers, which means that you have to walk out with at least 2. Veddy, veddy clever...) I had really had little else going for it. The crust was akin to burnt toast, and the cheese reminded me of old chewing gum. The 2 cuts were $2.20, so at least my wallet can't gripe about being beaten. On a personal note, Kay lived above this place for a time before we started dating. "Buzzi," as he is called, also owns the building that houses the pizza parlor. She refused to come in and anxiously waited for me in the car, peeling out of there like a rat on fire when I returned. Little more needs to be said, so I'll stop typing now.

Best pizza if you like square cuts! We've been coming here for years and it's still one of my favorite pizza places. The sauce is tangy and the crust is crunchy and delicious. They don't deliver and only take cash. If you order an odd number of cuts they'll usually give you one extra for free!

I'm a fan of Buzzi's, but I'm pretty p.o'd they're not open on Sunday's. Seriously? The Steelers play on Sunday. Whatever.
