We eat here about weekly. Usually Sunday after church. Great service, great food, and the price is right.

Eccellent! Very popular, seat yourself restaurant. Was packed with Sunday lunchers. Sat down quickly, waitress was very personable. Have us time to decide our dishes. We choose spaghetti with meatballs and country style steak with mashed potatoes. Salads were brought out immediately, only problem was salad had loads of green peppers and imitation bacon bits. Both of those items are on my can not eat list. I would have never thought Id find them both at one place and in such abundance. Must have been a pre-prepared salad thing. After picking thru, the salad was fresh and tasty. Spaghetti was very italian. Garlic bread and 2 meatballs. Country style steak was delish. Made me think of home made. Mashed potatoes were fluffy and hot with white gravy smothering it all. Only gave it four stars because of the salad. But I guess ill have to start asking about peppers and imitation bacon. Overall excellent, would definitely go back!

We ate here because of the reviews, and also because it was one of the only places open on a Sunday evening. I had the veggie wrap. It was stuffed with veggies, but completely unseasoned. Bland. I also asked that they make sure the onions were well grilled, but they were only lightly cooked. My husband ordered turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes, and a side of seasonal veggies. The veggies were cooked until drooping, and also had zero seasoning. Utterly limp and bland. My husband thought the turkey dish was tasty, but he was up all night sick to his stomach after. The service was great and the people were nice, but we certainly won't return.

Great food! I got a grilled cheese and needed some more. The whole meal was great and I loved it. One thing just a little too salty but awesome food. The scene was great and loved the groundhog near us

I read the reviews since I was in the area for meetings. The place is rated well. I thought it was average. The food was mostly breakfast and decent. The staff should get 5 stars as they were super friendly. The interior is diner like and they sell Phil memorabilia. I ordered corned beef hash and eggs. The eggs were perfectly done but the hash was older and then grilled. The inside was soggy. The portions were small to average unlike the reviews I read. I also had a white or rye toast option. No wheat. I chose the white. There were a lot of customers who ordered their usual. I listened to what they ordered and none of it was on the menu. I would suggest they add a few of those to the menu. It was very inexpensive. My entire meal was $6.35. I don't know anywhere that you can have an entire meal for such a low price. Overall, I am glad I stopped and had breakfast for lunch. I would take the family back and hope to order what some of the locals were getting.

The Pancakes here are the best I've ever had. The coffee, and bacon were really good too. It gets very busy though on Saturday mornings.

It's 4 stars based on the selection available in the area. Came here on a trip out west and had a good lunch. The service is fine, the pancakes are great, but the ambiance makes it more fun: it's a diner with groundhogs everywhere. The omelettes and pancakes were favorites. The salads and lasagna were ok but not as good.

Came here last night for dinner about 45 minutes before closing. Took a while for a waitress to come over to give us menus, then a while for her to come back and take our order but the food came out super fast & was great. We had the Everything Burger and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Only issue was that the bun was falling apart so it made it a little messy. But was def delish! Came here for breakfast the next morning and ordered a bagel with cream cheese and an egg with toast... food came out literally 2 minutes later and was great! The staff is super friendly and were fun to talk to. Great place to stop when in Punxy!

This was my first time at this place. I was in Punxy for a concert in the park. The staff was pretty friendly. It did take a while for them to come over to the table to begin with. The food was decent. The only complaint I have is about the "hot chicken wings". They were more like chicken nuggets dipped in hot sauce. The hot sauce was not even that spicy. I would give it another shot at some point.

Enjoyed Mother's Day lunch here. Absolutely excellent. Portions were big and prices were small. Our waitress Kelly was very friendly and fast. Checked in often. Bathrooms were clean. Food came quickly. Lunch for 4 with drinks and appetizer under $40. Gotta love it!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Punxsy. Always crowded Sunday mornings after church and always out of control on Groundhog Day (but they handle it well!). The staff is friendly and welcoming, the menu is well priced, and the coffee is pretty good. Occasionally the food can take a while after you order, that being the one downfall. Stop by in you're in town.

Punxsy Phil's made a nice impression on me. We pulled into the lot and hopped out for a photo-op under the big red sign. I'm a California baby, and I've been waiting a looong time to get to Punxsy! We sat down, and had a hot cup of coffee in front of us within seconds. It was cold out, and it was just what I wanted. The waitress was cute-- "You're not from here, are ya?" she said with a wink as she refilled the coffee that I apparently inhaled upon settling into the booth. Our food was hot, and there was plenty of it. Couldn't have asked for more. When you go to Punxsy, stop by this place. It's friendly and welcoming atmosphere is just what you'd expect from a humble little spot like this.

We ate there this Saturday, what I am sure has to be their busiest day of the year, Groundhog Day! The food was spot on! It took a while for us to get our breakfast (Eggs Benedict and Cakes and Eggs with a side of bacon and sausage links to share) but it was prepared perfectly and tasted great. I would highly recommend Punxy Phils for breakfast to anyone! They were up til 1 am the night before making the entrance more enjoyable for the patrons, I think that says a lot about the pride and quality of the establishment.

Grrr! Somebody beat me to the FTR of this place! Oh well! I guess I can't win 'em all! Anyway, I'd give about 3.5 stars to Punxsy Phil's. It's your typical small-town family restaurant. Lots of breakfast items and a rather extensive menu that's really just variations on about 4 or 5 things. You by and large know what you're gonna get when you first walk in. But places like this generally have good sandwiches, soups, and coffee. My BLT was pretty good as was my soup. Punxsy Phil's is worth checking out.

Every time I'm in Punxy visiting the bf's family I try to stop at Punxy Phil's. It's usually a busy Sunday morning. It's a great greasy spoon diner in a small town. Even on the busiest morning we were seated quickly. Unfortunately almost every time it takes a long time to have a waitress come over. I've been in there and sat for 15 minutes before someone comes to get my drink order or food order. The coffee is regular diner grade, dark and hot. The breakfast food is hearty but after it was ordered it took ages for it to come out. In all it's a great stop and local for when you're in Punxy on a cold winter weekend.
