I have walked by this little gem over the years. I took a chance and ordered lunch through Seamless. It was one of the best lunches I've had in while! I had a burger with a very generous serving of spinach. The well seasoned hamburger was amazing. I ordered it no grain style....no bun, with cheese peppers and onions. I ate half at lunch I am looking forward to having the rest for dinner! The navy bean soup was a winner too. Can't wait to try something else!!!

This place is a hidden gem! Both times I've come here, I ordered the tuna hoagie, and it was great! They made the tuna salad from scratch right in front of me. The hoagies are huge, and I usually eat half and save the other for the next day. And they are very reasonably priced, around $6. My mom came with me one time and got an Italian sandwich that she really liked. The owners are also super friendly and chatted with my mom and I as we waited. Overall, this is a great place for takeout!

I decided to try Tony's again on a snowy Friday for breakfast. I ordered eggs, grits, and toast for $3.50. The servings were pretty large. Obviously this was a no frills order, but I was certainly happy with the size of the food. It was hard to believe it was just 2 large eggs. I would have thought it was at least 4. The grids are plain and unseasoned with some butter. I added two servings of butter and some pepper to the grits and they were pretty good. Overall it was a good experience. I'd go back. I think Tony's would be a great place for weekend breakfast, but I imagine it gets really busy.

A great place to go for breakfast. Prices were great. Got full quickly. Server was friendly. Food was good,. When asked for juice was given a bottle of juice with a glass of ice which was nice. Breakfast steak sandwich aka breakfast Philly cheese steak was good and so was tonys special breakfast sandwich. Nice area near the mutter museum.

When you want straight up, regular man food and a no-frills experience, this place is it. I'd come back.

I come here when I want a great tuna hoagie! It always pleases & totally fills me up. Love the cream of turkey w/ rice soup as well. The brothers who own & run this place are friendly & accommodating. One day I will try some of their homemade Greek specialties or perhaps a grilled chicken Caesar salad or chicken cheesesteak. Hard to stay away from that tuna though.

right in the neighborhood, passed by a few times - first time sitting in for a meal.... "family owned & operated since 1983" - and they have not updated the interior since, and I love them for it!... this is right up my alley - total greasy spoon... highlights of the decor: - dead tree in a pot, a dozen crinkly lil leaves still clinging, a bouquet of fake lilies coming out of the dirt - next to that, a large stand-alone coat rack - not all that strange - but above that a plug-in wall bug zapper with the cover having probably fallen off 7 years ago - basically fly-paper underneath with a pointillist spread of stiff mummies... now more a museum piece than an active agent of destruction - several framed, vintage photos of meals - i'm guessing they've been there since the joint opened.... also, a framed photo, in the back nestled between the restroom doors, of a kitten in a basket - adorable! - curiously odd and mostly funereal plant arrangements in vases - artificial polyester flowers the colors of putrefying flesh, evergreen(?) branches in water.... one vase is empty but with netting choked around the opening - kinda looked like a crab trap now the food: having a take-out menu at home, I went in knowing what I wanted - an "Italiano Breakfast Wrap" at $5.99... not expecting much, I ended up receiving what would've been a full plate meal - probably 3 eggs, 4 sausage links, half a roasted pepper, and a fist full of tatties - jammed-packed but neatly wrapped in a large tortilla... burrito the size of a newborn - at the right price! the coffee tasted funny - a bit stomach-acid-y, or, it was 4 days old - put some sugar in (i usually just go black) and all was well.... the more I drank it, though, I kinda wondered if they snuck in some ouzo or something... wasn't gonna fuss summary: point of the tale - if you dig old-school, dingy, no-frills diners - this place rocks! huge menu, huge portions, comfortable if barren dining area.... went in around 1pm - seemed to be more take-out than sit-in customers.... family-owned, unpretentious - if only they were open late-night... this is 'real' eatin'! i will be back, oh yes, i will

Much like Katie J., the misses and I were in the city to visit the Mutter and yelped this place out of the blue. The down and dirty is it's cheap, decent, and has a pretty good menu. The staff is also really nice. the girlfriend and I got the special. It was a cheesesteak, fries, and a can soda for 5.95$. Yeah, I was pretty damn pleased and full by the end of that meal. There was nothing terribly unique about the meal, it was good and plentiful and very worthwhile for the price. What I did notice is the cooking staff gave a crap about the food being good and I have no doubt anything else they cook is going to be on point. They asked me exactly what I wanted on everything and how much. When we were leaving they asked how it was and even took out trash for us. I will come back to this place on my next visit. It's spacious, grungy but welcoming, and a nice hole in the wall to hang out with your friends in.

GROSS! First of all, I ordered a sandwich and it took literally 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive. When it finally got here, it was bland and not at all fresh. The turkey was dry and crumbling, and the lettuce was wilted and just tossed all over the place. I honestly can't imagine how this place has good reviews. You can get a better sandwich anywhere in the city. Stay far away from this place.

I always saw the maintenance guys with little bags that smelled like meat heaven...well, one day, in the elevator I asked and they directed me here. It looks pretty ugly from the outside, but once you go inside it is really large! It's a family run business and they are incredibly nice! They make everything there, no store-bought beef slices, they season and cook everything themselves. Say goodbye to chemicals! I am definitely coming back. (It's also inexpensive, woo hoo!)

Got the cheesesteak combo because of other yelp reviews. Yummy, and perfect portion for lunch. The owner also thanked me for coming in. If there is something I love, it is good customer service!

Great diner-style food! One can easily walk by Tony's Deli/Restaurant and not notice it, but it's definitely worth stopping in if you are craving reliable and satisfying diner food. I ordered a basic 2 eggs over easy with pork roll, toast and potatoes for $4.95. Tony's can accommodate large groups, has friendly staff, and the prices are incredible. Stop by!

I've walked place this place a bunch working in the area and decided to try it out today. Really solid spot. I got the caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was awesome. For carry out food they really put alot of work into it, grilling the chicken after I placed my order, chopping the rommaine, and shaving the cheese on top. Grilling the chicken after the order made it take a little longer, but I would definitely say it was worth it. I will be going back.

My friend and I are repeat breakfast customers here. The food's consistently good and the staff is friendly. It's diner food, but it's made well and the prices are good -- plus, they'll pretty much make you whatever you want if they can. it's an innocuous looking place and easy to miss, but don't...nice folks -- go in and give them a try.
