I was in the area and wanted to try the Roma Bianca pizza that I had heard so much about from a raving fan but haven't had a chance to come do so. It was great. I ordered a cheese pizza to go as well. The staff here is so friendly that you'd almost feel like you're part of the family from the moment you step in. I didn't however like the presentation of their sandwich which leaves much to be desired for the rabid steak fan. So I didn't go for that, but the pizza was great. 10/10 for the pizzas here!

Called and ordered a takeout pizza with the boss a couple months back. This is more of a takeout style place even though there is some limited seating of you choose to dine in. ATMOSPHERE: Sort of a takeout cafeteria style joint that you would come across on a boardwalk or in a mall. Yet it is in a shopping center - and there is places to sit I would recommend take out. FOOD: We ordered a pizza via take out. The pizza was a large pie with big slices and a proportional amount of sauce, cheese, dough, and grease. I found the pizza to be very good and would recommend it. Unfortunately I cannot speak to the rest of their menu but in terms of the pizza it was very good. OVERALL: I would recommend this place for a meal and a try. Nothing I saw or tasted would make me recommend to steer clear.

HOT ROAST PORK! HOT ROAST PORK! HOT ROAST PORK! According to our credit card statement, we've been here 7 times since our first time 3 weeks ago. Obsession? YES! We tried the hot roast pork, and have yet to tire of it. Pork is perfectly seasoned, hot, fresh, and if ever a little dry, they give you a cup of juice to pour over your sandwich to make it just right. (Careful, though, this cup is normally piping hot, like McDonald's lawsuit hot, so head's up Pappone's, you might want to cool it off a little.) The rabe is also really good. Nice seasoning, again, and adds a good garlic element to the sandwich. The sharp prov is good, but I get mine without (to avoid dairy) and I don't miss anything. Roll is good too. They toast it, which I could take or leave, but maybe if they didn't toast it I'd miss it. Overall an excellent roast pork sandwich, and well worthy of all the hype and praise it gets on Yelp. Our only complaint is that of the 7 visits we've made, only two of those times they had our food ready when they said they would. We now give them double the time they say over the phone, and if they ever tell you less than 20mins, give at least that before getting there. I really wish they would get more accurate on that. We live kind of far, and it's annoying to have to sit and wait when you have other errands to run in the area, which is why you are there making the longer trip. It's worth the wait, I'd just rather be told 30 mins rather than have them say 15 and then sit there for an extra 15 mins when I believe that. You know? That aside, like I said, we keep going back, and LOVE that sandwich! We have also tried the fries, which are good too, just really hard to fill the shoes of that roast pork. The restaurant is also always neat and clean when we go, and the staff (mostly teenagers or young 20s) is respectful and professional, which is really nice. They offered to bring our order to us in the car one night when we had to wait, which was a thoughtful touch. Last tip: The location is behind the AMC theater neat Granite Run Mall. You can't enter directly from Balt Pike (route 1), you have to go into the mall entrance and 'round past the side of the theater to get there. You also can't go left when exiting out the front onto Balt Pike (route 1), right turn ONLY. I am used to this having grown up in the area, but others should take a look before going because it's totally counter-intuitive and a pain in the rear if you get it wrong.

Pizza joint on the perimeter of the mall, but you'll find it on the Baltimore Pike side. Knowing that I was having pizza for dinner, I opted for a medium-sized cheesesteak. "How do you want it," I was asked. "With cheese. And with steak?" I replied. Yes, I know people put mushrooms and onions and peppers and all sorts of stuff in their cheesesteaks, but I'll go with it straight. And it was good. Maybe not as much cheese as I would have liked but it was tasty, not greasy or fatty. And it was filling. Dine in during lunch time and watch the locals.

Maria Pappone's Grilled Aged Provolone Cheese Sandwich: (Thick cut aged provolone dipped in egg batter and grilled. Served in an long roll. Add sweet or hot roasted no charge.) This was delicious.. a little too heavy for one person.. if you have a fellow sharp prov. lover in your life, share it. I got both sweet and hot on the side. They gave good portions of both. Mac and cheese bites were delicious, and the french fires are mcdonalds shape, and yummy. (but you need to add salt) Fast delivery, friendly polite driver.

Ordered delivery for a small family gathering and it was half ok and half horrible. Took longer than they said for delivery. They said 30 minutes but took 1 hour. Very friendly service ordering though. Food came luke warm and Mediterranean salad- ok. Pizza - ok, roasted pork sandwich- very good, buffalo chicken cheesesteak - ok, & chicken parm sandwich - just plain awful / inedible. Chicken was obviously microwaved to a hardened brick. Good rolls. Probably won't order again

Hubby and I ordered the other night. I believe I received the most beautiful veggie pizza I've ever seen. Unfortunately the photo doesn't show how pretty that pizza was. We both enjoyed our pizzas. I recently returned from California, where they can't make pizza to save their lives. Mainly they can't make a decent crust. The Pappone's crust reminds of California pizza. It's a little too hard and thin. Soften things up and this could be a five star review.

What a fantastic pizza/restaurant. Friendly staff and great space. Not too mention it is BYOB. Love pushing the tables together and hanging out with our families and kids. Aloha pizza is a favorite as is the STR- spinach, tomato, and ricotta. My son just tried his first Stromboli from here and loved it!

OMG!!!!!!! They have the best pizza every. I go there like every time I need to eat pizza. My fav pizza there is the spinach and cheese. Always ask for half cheese.

The food is okay, they lose stars because the service is pretty bad. Friday night and all they have are young people working who couldn't care less about providing proper customer service. Ordered two items 1st one came out quick 20 mins later the second meal came out. Like I said the food is okay, but pricy food and slow service.

Made my first trip here for a pre-movie meal the other day. The first impression was great, the staff was very friendly and willing to help, the establishment was clean and surprisingly roomy for a pizza shop. The appetizers were good (not great). Tons of cheese was provided with the cheese fries which was great but the fries themselves were extremely thin and seemingly overcooked. The garlic bread looked great but after being warmed seemed to have an excessive amount of olive oil on it. Time to change gears, the pizza, fantastic! We ordered a large and devoured it, absolutely delicious. Coming from Ridley Park there is a serious shortage of decent pizza so this was a welcome relief. It was very reasonable as well, all of this for under $20 with prompt service. We will certainly be returning but probably sticking to the pizza.

Pappone's is a great pizza shop. Their flip it pizza is always delicious and their chicken park sandwich is great! Every time I go here the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

This place has the best pork sandwich so it's our destination when one of us gets a craving. Still fabulous! One of us got two slices of their cheese pizza also very good. Did not care for the Sicilian style last time. The place is hopping on Friday night. You may need to wait for a table or opt for take out.

Pappone's makes 'okay' plain pizza, I'll say that much, but I've had problems with their service the last two times I've gone to pick up my order. Cashier took my money and told me to wait. I noticed during the 15 minutes I sat waiting, there were a couple pizza boxes on top of one of the ovens, so finally I asked, are those my boxes? Oh, yeah, sorry, they are. Different cashier, different day, almost the SAME incident happened again. I arrived a good 30 minutes after placing my order, paid, then was told to sit and wait. I could see boxes on top of the oven, so I asked....could they be mine? Oh yeah, they are, sorry. Grrrrr! And while their plain pizza is okay, their bbq chicken pizza was SWIMMING in bbq sauce and was way too salty to eat. Ick.

A solid four. Contrary to Pappones unassuming location, the pizza demands attention. I stopped in devoid of predilection and settled on a slice and the Uncle Henry. The small hoagie was exceptional in size and taste. Quality meats on a decent roll. Comparable to any pizzeria deli sandwich. The slice of bacon, tomato, ranch was very good with a crisp tasting crust. Overall 4 out of 5.

Good family owned pizza shop. Decent prices and good food. When they first opened I had a BBQ chicken cheese steak that I was not a fan of. I have since had pizza, appetizers and a steak. Food was good.

This is a good place to go when you just want a pizza - this place will satisfy your everyday pizza cravings. Their hot peppers are really hot and delicious. The crust is tasty. The place looked pretty roomy and the menu seem to have a lot of different type of foods - cheesesteaks, burgers, calzones, pizzas... The best and worst thing I did was to eat at DiFara's in Brooklyn and now not one pizza can compare....

As a North Jersey guy transplanted to the Philadelphia suburbs I have been looking in vain for great pizza. I found one that was good but it was a fifteen minute drive. This area has no great pizza places. Or so I thought until I found Pappone's recently. The pizza is simply perfect. Great sauce, perfect crust (thin and easily folded over like it should be) and the toppings I have had are all good. They have all the standards and a few more but not a long list of very eclectic pies. The Roma Bianca pizza is the best around as well. I have heard from others that the sandwiches and cheesesteaks are great as well, but have not sampled these yet. The seating area is nice. Clean and not too cramped, but almost always full. I especially like that it's BYOB because nothing goes with pizza like a cold beer, and it's nice to be able to enjoy this pairing at a family pizza place. Pappone's has become a once a week place since we found it!

The roast pork with provolone and greens is the best I've ever had, and the pizza is pretty good, too. I ordered a sandwich tray for a large party from here and was very pleased with what we got. I highly recommend Pappone's - and this in an area where there's a pizza and hoagie shop on every corner.

Good pizza. I am from CT and lived near new haven where pizza is the best in the world. I also lived in NYC for a couple of years where thin crust is prevalent. Most pizza places in PA are pathetic but this place is now my go to locally.

Pappone's is a new pizzeria in Media, across from the Toys R Us. The place has seating and a separate section for take-out. Overall it is nice and roomy and attractively decorated...kind of a Godfather-Italian family vibe to the decor. Warm and friendly. I've eaten there a handful of times already and so far I love the food. They claim to use a special brand of cheese and it does taste different from the usual suspects in Media. The cheesesteaks are great. The meat is juicy but not all fatty. The rolls are toasted the way they should be. The brand of rolls used is also excellent. The Special Italian hoagie has some really good meats and sharp provolone. The thin crust pizza is especially good. Last night I tried the ubiquitious pepperoni pizza and it is now on my top 10 list. Loaded with more pepperoni than I'm used to getting and the pizza is sprinkled with some herb or garlic stuff on top that adds a really nice touch. The food seems a bit more upscale than Pinocchios, etc, especially in terms of the ingredients used. The menu also has a few items that we don't see often like a white pizza with grilled eggplant. So far this place seems like the real deal and a welcome change of pace from the compettition. I'll be curious to hear if others like it as much as I do or if I'm just experiencing a fit of euphoria at having a new place to eat.

Tried this place tonight and really liked it. We ordered a plain pizza to go and it was delish...I noticed they also had Sicilian pizza available. The menu has a great selection of items from salads to pastas to roast pork, roast beef, hoagies, steak sandwiches, etc. The place seemed roomy and I would not hesitate to eat-in. Looks like a stand out place and I'm looking forward to eating there again and updating this review.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
