I've been here twice and would really like to give it 3.5 stars. Its not a bad place at all, but if it wasn't less than 2 miles away I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return. As soon as you walk in it's like a time warp straight back to 1984! Which is cool because 1984 was a good year. Their milkshakes are pretty good and so are the sandwiches. I ordered a small shake and they meant small. But in the end it worked out because it filled me up and I had to put it in the freezer. The next day I set it out on the counter for about 5 mins and then enjoyed it. Never had their pizza but the counter girl brought it out to one of the tables and it looked good. So maybe I'll give it a try one day. Also, I thought the lady cooking at the grill was Debbie herself!

This is a place I avoid. I went in on a summer day with my wife, ordered and paid for ice cream sundaes, and sat down to wait. And wait. They were very busy, so a few minutes would have been OK, but.... At least fifteen minutes went by, and because I paid close attention, I heard the counter staff tell a customer that the ice cream machine was down, they could not get him any ice cream. OK, I'm ten feet behind him, and they already have my money. I'm holding a receipt with a number on it. Nobody comes out to me, or announces anything. I went up to the counter to ask, and then found out the facts, which of course I knew. This was my third negative experience at Debbie's Pizza. I got a refund and left, and haven't been back. Yes, I'm local.

Never again will I go here. Ordered a cheesesteak and fries, what I got was a steakum like you get at a grocery store and it was on what I think was a hot dog roll. The fries were tiny little shoestring ones and not many of them. When I asked for a refill on my soda I was told I had to pay for it!

I had a coupon for this place, but didn't know where it was. I visited some people in York and got gas then went into a consignment shop. I asked the owners and customers if any of them have been to this place and know where it is. The customer said that they had really good pizza and subs. She tried to tell me how to get to the place, and I ended up going one way with a sign saying welcome to york city. I pulled into another gas station and this nice african american man in a Cadillac offered to help show me the way to get to that street that the pizza shop was on. I followed him for most of the way. It was another 4 miles away from george street to the other street after he pointed which way to go. I got a drink at the mcdonalds nearbye and they said that I was close to it. The workers were friendly and made me a good tasting pizza. They used good teamwork and helped each other bring out the food to the table. I met an older woman who I think might be Debbie the owner. She seemed really nice. It was a big pizza for the money. If you are reading this guy with the caddilac thank you for helping me get to the pizza shop when you didn't know me, but went out of your way several miles to make my day of enjoying yummy pizza. It meant a lot to me. This world is full of cold hearted people, and you showed me that people still care and want to help out people, even if they don't know them. The two girls at the pizza place you are good hard workers. It was an honor to meet you. I wish you the best of luck with your business for many years to come.

I stopped in on Friday night since I was hungry for a sub. It was my first visit and I got the food to go - cheesesteak with peppers and mayo and a turkey sub w/ bacon. I think I may have been waited on by Debbie herself -she was extra friendly. The food was pretty good and they gave me a free 2011 calendar which was nice -I enjoyed the cheesesteak it was pretty full of meat, the only thing I would change is the roll could be a little less soft. The cool thing as mentioned is they have a drive through to pick up your called in order.

It has been about 4 years since we have eaten here and now i remember why. This place is a staple of the community but for a friday, the place was dead, very strange. I ordered two slices of plain pizza and pizza fries to go. The pizza looks like poor looking and tasting fair or carnival pizza. It doesn't seem like it's cooked all the way as there is no golden part of the cheese. There isn't any real flavor either. This is pizza that is not really worthy of eating as leftovers. I have had fundraiser pizza that i had to assemble that was better. The pizza fries weren't terrrible. They used the same cheese and pizza sauce on the fries and tasted like the pizza, dull, not good It's not bad food, but don't expect anything great.

I remember eating here 12 years ago with my parents...the one vivid memory I have of this place is seeing everyone around me eating with a knife and fork. 12 years later, people are still doing that. The slices are wayyyyy to big to hold in your hand but being a true pizza fanatic, there was no way I was going to eat pizza with a fork. I had to hold the slice like a humongo sandwich but boy was it good and greasy. They even had a drive thru! WTH?? Thats flippin awesome!
