A disgrace!! Oip is about quality getting what you pay for and friendly service (or maybe franks, downtown, Milroy and Newport spoiled me? Right that's what I said). This place has waitresses that belong at Reds, serve cold food and little else at a hole in the wall location. We ordered a taco salad (cold meat no dressing given), onion topped slice ( literally spent no time in the oven and raw onions were just thrown on top), a specialty pizza (tons of one and not enough of the other when it comes to toppings and very little sauce) and pepperoni pizza (cold from the start doughy as hell but edible seriously as a pizza place if you screw up pepperoni pizza you will be out of business in like a week) drinks were all watered down....just not a great experience. This is the second time we were here (last time wasn't pleasant either but I always give a place one thinking it mighta been an off day) I'm thinking this was that straw that broke the camels back

Yet another great experience at Joe's! Family came in from out of town. We had a larger party and the waitress was extremely accommodating. The tables were moved around to make it work. She was perfect in conversation with all of us and handled the kids perfectly. If you knew my kids, you would know that takes patience. So with orders taken, it wasn't long for the food to arrive. Damn was it as great as always. Perfect OIP pizza New York style. Perfect OIP subs. These guys do it right. Even for a smaller shop. Perfect service. Perfect food. Perfect sub/pizza shop experience. Always a local favorite for me. The last bastion or the Joe and Frank style OIP food.

Joe's is my family's #1 choice among all the local OIP's, so of course on a recent three-day visit we had to have one meal from there (or two if you include eating the leftovers for lunch the next day). It was totally worth the long drive from Highland Park on a cold winter night. The sicilian pizza was pretty good, but the regular pizza is even better than I remembered. Like, some of the best pizza of my life. That good. When is my next trip to PA?? I have now officially transferred my allegiance to Joe's OIP. Good people, great pizza, solid value. We fed six people, with leftovers enough for two, for only 31 bucks. Oh, they also sell six-packs. Slum it with an old favorite like Genesse ($5.25) or Yuengling ($6.25) or go fancy with Third Shift amber ale ($10). As it turns out, Third Shift is brewed by Coors, so this obviously disqualifies it as a microbrew, but at least it has a 71 average on Beer Advocate. I know that this isn't much of a craft beer kind of town, but over time I hope that more of the quality stuff becomes available for us high-falutin' folk.

Nice dinner with a co-worker. I had the ravioli special (tasty, large raviolis), salad and the OIP bread. I will dream of the OIP bread. My buddy had a wedge, which is the fixin's for a sub on a flipped over pizza crust. We both could have eaten that, it was so large. Clean place, will go back in the future.

Good stuff. They make a nice spicy chicken sub. Usually friendly and attentive service. Clean with lots of parking, I can't think of anything negative to say!
