I had seen Isaac's around the area but never stopped in cause I figured it was a take-out place with a crappy eat in area. When I walked in to this location I was happy to see it was clean and there was a waiter service which I wasn't expecting. Isaac's menu is great, they have so many sandwhichs to choose from, from clubs to pretzel sandwhichs and some pretty interesting combinations too. Their prices are reasonable and the waitress was friendly, but obviously overwhelmed. i would return if I was in the mood for deli style food again. It's basically a Friendly's with slightly better food and no ice cream and limited to sandwhichs.

The broccoli salad was very good. Perfectly seasoned. Soup of the day was Mediterranean veggie. I think it was a lot like minestrone soup without the pasta. It was not great, but not bad either. I paid over $8 for a small 8oz serving of both. Prices are steep for a lunch joint.

Where should I start? It's your suburban hip sandwich shop. The middle class Middle aged just eat it up. A stop on the way up the working class ladder for your socialite high school student destined for community college. I've been waiting on a drink this entire time by the way. I asked about the soup then tried a small bit. I would have ordered it if the server ever would have came back. Just finished our meal. Still waiting on the sight of our server. Guess no dessert today... Maybe we don't even have to pay. Still waiting..... And waiting.... She came back. No free meal.

A classmate highly recommended this place, so I went and got a ham sandwich and their supposedly popular cheddar soup. Both items were unfortunately oversalty. The soup had the sodium and consistency of something out of a can.

I was really excited to eat here because of the vegetarian offerings. The food was original and pretty good, but the portions were very small and expensive.

The food is good, but like most people on here are saying it's a little steep. I've had a few bad experiences with Isaac's (one being that I ordered their Tortellini Salad and it was still frozen...), but over all, it's a good spot to hit up when you're hungry for an overpriced deli sandwich!

I'll preface this by saying that if I had only experienced eat-in dining at Isaac's, I would rate them at about 3 1/2 stars, but my opinion has now been tainted by two sub-par catering orders from Isaac's in the past week. Isaac's has fine sandwiches, and friendly staff, but seem to be unable to fill orders correctly. Twice this week I ordered large catering trays for lunch pick up, and twice this week I was disappointed. The first order was for 20 sandwiches at their highest level of catering ("First Class"). The sandwiches at this price level are supposed to all be triple layer subs or on pretzel bread. When I picked up the order, I saw that the top tray layer consisted of a mix of a few pretzel sandwiches and what at a glance looked to be the bacon filled club sandwiches. Once I got the trays to where lunch would be served, however, I made an upsetting discovery - the bottom tray was almost entirely filled with wrap sandwiches, which are part of a lower price level of catering tray, and what I thought were triple layer club sandwiches on the top layer were just plain ol' sandwiches. In addition to most of the order being made up of the lower grade sandwiches, I had requested several vegetarian sandwiches to be made up on pretzel bread. There were no vegetarian sandwiches or wraps present. Even though we didn't get what we ordered, the sandwiches tasted like sandwiches, which satisfied people, and when we were in a bind to find lunch today, Isaac's was again requested. Ok, fine. The order was placed, and not wanting to gamble being overcharged, plain old sandwiches were requested, with a specific vegetarian "Rose of Sharon" sandwich being ordered. The sandwiches were ready on time and retrieved. The vegetarian sandwich was some cheese, tomato, sprouts and a bit of lettuce on regular bread. The sandwich ordered and paid for was supposed to be "Sliced portabella mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, onions and spinach with melted provolone cheese." Very different, very frustrating. Basically, if you're going to eat in, Isaac's is fine and exactly what you would expect from a small chain sandwich shop, but if you want catering where you'll actually get what you order, you might want to try elsewhere.

Kid-friendly. Delicious soups. Get the canary club sandwich. Yum. I agree that it's a bit pricey for what you get, but the food is delicious. If you want a standard sub, though, you'll get a better deal on a bigger sandwich at Sandwich Man and enjoy it just as much.

Swung in for some quick grub. Like other Isaacs this place is on par. Simple sandwiches, charged deluxe rates for standard flavors. We're not talking about prime rib or filet mignon on a piece of gold toast., but turkey mayo and lettuce on french bread. 6 bucks is a little steep, but I don't pay it often so it offsets it somewhat. Complimentary pickle and chips in the bag as well.

I like to stop at Isaac's once in a while. As others commented, it can be a little more expensive then expected. However, they do offer several different combos which are affordable. Isaacs is my favorite sandwich stop because they offer several different vegetarian options. Most places the only selection is a sandwich with just cheese. Isaac's has a fresh portabella sandwich (called Rose of Sharon I think) that is my favorite. They also have a black-bean burger and several more sandwiches... but I usually order the same thing. They always offer a tomato soup which is delicious. I think they have a second soup selection that is different every day.

Why me??? Why??? What is the reason restaurants take great items off their menus or modify them so that they are a mere shadow of what they used to be? Isaac's is one of those places that people seem to like or dislike with ease. In general, I like it. They offer fresh food at reasonable (but not cheap) prices. Mostly soups, sandwiches, and salads, Isaac's is a great place to grab lunch or a light dinner. Nothing fancy, just decent deli food.s Pretty tasty, too, if you happen to order something you like. They have a "bird" themed menu so you need to read the descriptions to understand what you're really getting. For example, while you literalists would expect a slab of hummingbird on a Hummingbird sandwich - what you actually get is roast beef and bacon. Truth in advertising? Apparently not. But it is somewhat clever. Now for my big complaint. My husband and I used to go there just for a Sonoma salad (which has toasted walnuts, dried cranberries, etc.) and have them add a scoop of their Almond-Chicken salad. The Sonoma salad USED TO come with two slices of fluffy, flaky french bread that had been topped with a generous amount of blue cheese crumbles that was then broiled until the cheese slightly melted and the edges of the bread were slightly toasted. YUM, YUM, YUM! The savory saltiness of the blue cheese topped bread was the PERFECT foil for the sweet dressing and dried cranberries of the Sonoma salad and the creaminess of the Almond-Chicken salad that we added. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, we order our favorite. It comes with PLAIN bread. We told our server that they gave use the wrong bread. She announced that THEY NO LONGER INCLUDE THE BLUE CHEESE TOPPED BREAD with the salad. WHHHHHHHAAAAATTTT? It's ruined. It was the main reason we ate at Isaac's so frequently. We can't find anything else on their menu that we want to eat that often. The other food is good, but our Sonoma+Almond-Chicken was an obsession. We'd hoard the blue cheese bread until the last few bites. I am so sad. So Isaac's - you only get three stars as punishment for making menu changes that make your food less tasty. BUMMER!

I love Isaac's! The prices are a little high, but the sandwiches are worth it! Especially the Finch on a pretzel - so good!
