In a sea of chain restaurants, Sharky's is like a little oasis. We were staying in the area, and it just so happens this restaurant was right next door to our hotel, so we decided to check it out. We were so glad we did. I would describe their food as upgraded American. They had waygu burgers and lobster mac and cheese. The prices, at least compared to my neck of the woods, were very reasonable. They even served more sophisticated beverages, although they could have executed a bit better. The real attraction here seems to be the open air appeal and deck. The outdoor seating area is nice, but you are looking at a parking lot and a busy road with strip malls - not exactly pretty. Never the less, the food and service was good, and it seemed to be a popular pick with locals.

The menu is interesting, and the patio is beautiful, and I so want to be a fan-- but the execution just doesn't pan out. One friend arrived before the rest of the group and was given water, at least. When the rest of us got there, we were asked "so do you want something to drink other than water or what?" Not the best way to make great first impression. Service got more friendly from that point on, but was always on the slow side. The menu is definitely promising. For appetizers, we shared some pork belly tacos that were excellent, and roasted red pepper dip that was quite good as well, with delicious pizza chips on the side (as well as some celery for a gluten-free friend). Entrees were a little bit iffier. The onion chive butter filets were served on hot cast iron and turned out great, but my husband's 8 oz filet was on a regular plate, and wasn't even close to hot when it arrived. Another friend and I had the lobster mac and cheese, and it was all right; the cheese was melted and the pasta hit the right texture, but the butter flavor overwhelmed the lobster and the truffle oil, and the lobster was a bit too chewy. Drinks were good-- they have a nice beer selection, and some decent wines by the glass. The raspberry dessert martini was not a hit, but the peanut butter cup dessert drink was essentially a rum milkshake and kind of awesome. Very hit-and-miss-- I'd give them another shot, perhaps for brunch with those bottomless mimosas, or maybe just for drinks and appetizers, but I'm not anxious for a return visit.

Decent small food. Small food. Small food. Did I mention it is small food? Atmosphere is very nice and a very nice view. A shame you can't order from its sister (Sharkeys) next door. You use their bathroom but not their menu.... Go figure. Big pretzel as an appetizer was decent but a little pricey. Oh, and by the way the food is small (but decent).

Delicious! I was skeptical at first because we entered through sharkys cafe. The pier is on the opposite side. It has a much nicer ambience and menu. Friendly staff and yummy food. I am definitely going back:)

Every meal I get here is absolutely excellent! Veal meatballs, stir fry, margherita pizza, baked soft pretzels... Their brunch is delicious too!! I highly recommend their cast iron skillet cinnamon rolls $10 bottomless mimosas!

Everything was amazing. Duck, duck goose pizza, tuna app, turtle creme brûlée all amazing. Will recommend.

I really want to like this place, but they have to step up their game with the food quality. The Pier has a nice vibe with the outdoor seating and outdoor bar, but they have no beer on tap. Strange because the indoor bar/restaurant does. They have a lot of strategically placed TVs for watching games. We tried 3 shareable appetizers. The ahi tuna was really good. The roasted chicken wings were okay, but they needed more seasoning or salt and they were a bit tough. . (They're not nearly as good as Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza's wings.). The veal meatballs had too much filler and not enough meat flavor. Everything was served piping hot and stayed hot in cast iron skillets right out of the oven. We will return to try some different items. Like I said, I really want to like this place.

Not a great menu. Staff was friendly but not completely on top of things. I had the duck with is one of their signature dishes and I would not get it again. My biggest annoyance was went I got the bill and there were suggested tipping amounts, which can be helpful. However I was annoyed that it started at 20%. I normally tip 20% but I thought I was kind of a generous tipper. I was under the impression that the standard tip was 15%. Now I feel like I am almost stiffing the server by tipping the minimum suggested amount.

Limited menu and not open at all times. We wanted to have lunch there on a beautiful WPA afternoon...not open. Maybe they can work on this.

Definitely not what you would expect. All the food is good but we really like the Saturday and Sunday brunch because there is a lot more options for me since I'm gluten free. Large variety of drink options and the food has been consistently good which days a lot for a new restaurant. Love the outdoor seating option but would love more gluten free options for dinner and clearer menus that list allergens. The caprese salad, snow peas in martini glass, and skillet steak are my go to dinner items. Brunch is the skillet over flowing with eggs, potatoes, bacon, and prosciutto. We'll continue to eat there as long as the good remains consistent.

great Place, great ambiance, love the decor, staff were super nice, after living 25yrs in CA, nice to have a really good coal fired pizza, met the owners , very nice people, the hanging pretzels are a hoot, and very tasty, this place works on all levels, made my stay in the -8 degree weather pleasant, and finally, compared to CA prices , it was almost free!! happy to give a 30%+ tip!!

The Pier is the best new place in the area. There are tons of different unique food items to try and they are always adding new dishes to try. They have a growing wine list, tons of great craft beers and awesome martinis. My husband and I are always there but it's also a great place for girls night out. This week we did Paint Nite and it was so fun and packed!!! Their new brunch menu and bottomless mimosas are genius .If we have the choice to go out for a night we are going to The Pier!!!
