Decent food, atmosphere and drinks. It would be nice if the bartender would tell you that the Macallan 18-year you just ordered is $40/glass before you get it. Ask before you receive I guess. Talk about inflated prices - the owner is obviously taking advantage of tourists while driving locals away.

I love visiting Peddler's Village during the Christmas season, the stores are crazy busy, but the lights and grounds are reason enough to bring you there. Earl's is yet another reason to return to the area. Our family physician recommended Earl's to us years ago when Jenny's closed their doors. Even though I loved Jenny's and hated to see her go, Earl's more than filled her shoes. I have been here for both lunch and dinner several times and I have never left without being thrilled. If you can not find ten tempting dishes on their very diversified and tantalizing menu then you have no clue what you are hungry for and their food presentation is so pretty and artistic that you almost hate to eat it, almost. Their wine list offers over one hundred wines and on Monday evenings you are invited to bring your own bottle with no corkage fee or take twenty five percent off of one of their great wines. They have a full service bar and tapas, which I need to try once I can get past their dining menu offerings. They support regional farmers by using their fresh produce. I love the setup of the dining rooms with beautiful displays of art and almost private seating. The restaurant seats over one hundred and fifty people but you feel like you have your own private table tucked away from the rest of the world. I love their spicy crab chowder and their jumbo lump crab cakes with the spicy remoulade sauce is addictive, this also comes with a side orange and fennel salad, how wonderful is that? The lobster bisque has lobster in it folks and it is some of the best that we have had. They also have a classic french onion soup which is outstanding. Do not skip the lobster spring roll served with two sauces, a lime avocado and their ying yang sauce to add some spice to your life. For lunch their homemade flat breads are so good and my favorite is the steak, mushroom, grilled onion, spinach with gorganzola cheese. They also have vegetarian, chicken and seafood flatbreads. Hubby loves their burgers and they make their own potato chips which are crispy, golden, salty delights from heaven. I love their fish and chips and they use cod and know how to batter it and fry it to perfection! Earl's has a raw bar, appetizers, salads and sandwiches galore but I want to talk about their steaks! Even though they are a bit on the pricey side, they are nice sized portions that are always perfectly cooked to order, tender and juicy and they melt in your mouth. Hubby loves their prime rib and I have had their filet twice. It is not quite Ruth's Chris and they do not serve it with a Bearnaise, which to me is the perfect accompaniment for a great filet. Their side dishes are inventive and delicious. I love the mushroom hash and the horseradish mashed potatoes, but the au gratin potatoes I could sit and eat until the cows come home. Oh and the goat cheese and olive potatoes pack a wow punch. They also serve many fresh fish dishes, shellfish, lamb chops, pork, vegetarian, chicken and pasta dishes. How do you choose? One visit at a time!

Had a meeting here. Great upstairs meeting space, the staff could not have been nicer and the food provided was a step above typical meeting food. Very good. I would highly recommend hosting your next meeting at Earls!

We have been to Peddler's Village a number of times and always thought that Earl's looked like it may be a little too expensive and passed it by. Earlier this month we decided to give it a try - specifically the bar and bar menu. We were not disappointed. My wife had the She Crab Soup along with a Vegetable Risotto Appetizer and found both to her liking. A glass of Luna Benegas helped round out her meal. I had a very nice beer flight of 4 craft beers which set me up just right for a full size Milk Stout. I tried the Crunchy Cauliflower Appetizer which was quite good along with their special Sirloin Burger with Blue Cheese. All in all the meal was very good and the service was excellent. Definitely requires a return visit, perhaps for their dinner menu.

Ugh! It just wasn't good at all! For the price they charge, I would think the food would have some flavor but it was just BLAND! Oh, and service was beyond slow. We spent more time in the restaurant than we intended bc everything was like a snail! To start, we were sat right away (that should have been the give away that the food is not good). The other restaurant we walked into had apx 40 min wait. We should have just waited instead of walking across the street to this place. Server came over and greeted us (she was very nice). Told us about their specials and all that jist. We went over the menu and ordered. I asked that my son's meal come out first because he's an extremely slow eater and bc it keeps him occupied. It came out with the drinks which was great! (bad bc the drinks did take some time to come out). This was the only meal I could say was pretty good. So, my son was basically half way done his meal then our salads came out. What the heck took so long for salads??? I have no idea.... So, he finished his meal and our meals were not out yet (remember, I said he eats very slow). We waited, and waited some more, and waited again. WTF!!!! My son was getting very antsy and my 9 year old niece was getting extremely bored! Finally, it came out. My husband ordered a med well filet. Came out RARE. What were they doing back there? Obviously not cooking the steak! My risotto in my scallops were just yuck! It tasted like sand. No flavor at all to it. The brussel sprouts that came with the steak wasn't what we expected. Again, it was also very bland. My neice's alfredo tasted like straight up milk! She had to put tons of salt on it just to make it sort of bearable to eat. The reason for 2 stars and not one was because of the drink. It was called "Right not Left". Made with straberries, cucumber, patron, ginger syrup. It was very refreshing and light and the perfect drink! And our server was very nice. Will I be back...nope!

Great place for dinner date. They have everything from seafood to steak with apps that are very gourmet. Atmosphere at bar was not a hipster crowd to say the least, but we weren't there for that anyway, but rather, the food and table ambiance. It didn't disappoint and I recommend it. -parking was behind building a little tight. -Aside from Earl's the whole Peddlers Village area is an awesome walk around experience, great for kids (ride the full size indoor carousel) and shopping outlets like Orvis and Bose. -

We didn't have a terrible experience at Earl's but it definitely could have been better. Run of the mill steak, my mom got a very bitter dish (extremely bitter). Staff was pleasant, but the food just didn't measure up.

This is a very beautiful and spacious restaurant. My boyfriend and I had lunch here yesterday around 3:30 ( they serve lunch until 4 pm.) I had the lobster dumplings which were scrumptious and the fillet mini-sliders with house-made potato chips. The sliders were very good (the steak melted in your mouth) but could have used a bit more horseradish sauce. The chips were awesome. My boyfriend had the fried calamari appetizer, which was very crispy in the outside and tender on the inside, as calamari should be. He also had the sliders and liked them but wanted more sauce. The wine selection was wide. We would go back here.

Had a very enjoyable dinner. The service was great and the food presentation was beautiful. I tried the sautéed shrimp which was very tasty; however, I didn't much care for the farro and fennel salad underneath. The Paso Creek cab was also fantastic!

We had a wonderful dining experience here! It was clean friendly and a relaxing atmosphere. We both ordered the filet and it was the best filet I've had in a long time! I was worried because it was a 31 dollar fillet but it was worth every penny! It practically melted in our mouths. My husband ordered his medium and I ordered mine medium well and they both were cooked perfectly! We would go back in a heartbeat!

Tonight was the second Thanksgiving dinner at Earl's and unfortunately my last. We had dinner here last year on Thanksgiving, and again the night after. The service and food on the first evening drew us back again the day after. This year we came back but the service was on the slow side, which we wouldn't mind, except the food was barely warm when it finally arrived. I told the waitress that it could have been hotter, but by the time she came back to our table and offered to take it back I had eaten half and was is no mood to wait to have it heated up. Also, the turkey was on the tough side and the stuffing was hard and dry. We love Peddlers Village and we will be back, but we will not be coming to Earl's. There are too many great restaurants to settle for this.

As good as it gets. We were there with another couple and found the service to be top notch, the decor to be beautifully upscale and the food to be outstanding. The crab soup was awesome and the filet was done to perfection. This is a must visit for the discriminating diner. Nice job earls. Beautiful location too.

This place is going down hill. We have gone many times, this time with many friends. Not many liked their food. It has become very hit or miss and for the prices they charge, that just should not be. I will not be going here again any time soon.

My girlfriend choose Earl's for a brunch for her birthday. I have been visiting Peddler's Village since my childhood but have never eaten at Earl's. I must say, it was wonderful. The girls at the front were friendly and helpful and the ambiance was calm and peaceful. Some of us chose to start off with drinks - my Bloody Maria was delicious and according to my girlfriends, so was the sangria and the bellini's. All of us chose an egg dish, from eggs benedict to frittatas and we were all very pleased with our choices. Our server was patient, friendly and attentive. Earl's is a place that I will be visiting again and again. Go there :)

Lovely atmosphere! Felt like a "night out" thanks to the sophisticated ambiance and nice menu. My boyfriend and I enjoyed splitting an Asian salad for an app. He got the St. Louis ribs, fell off the bone!! And his mashed potatoes were tasty! My crab cake was okay, I'm kind of spoiled as far as crab cakes go though, but I also got those yummy mashed potatoes so I was happy! We were too full for dessert which should tell you portions were not lacking. Oh, and this is definitely your BEST bet for a nice romantic dinner in Peddler's Village!

Well my parents made a reservation here and even though I didn't see much of anything on the menu that I wanted, I went anyway. When we got there, I was surprised how big the restaurant is - it goes much deeper than I expected. I was also happy that we were seated by a window, of which there were many, and it was warmer than at the entrance. The menu isn't too long, so there's not a long time involved in deciding what you want, and they only have a few specials each day. The tap water tasted weird, a little off, so that wasn't great, but they did provide very large water glasses. Some of us got apps, my mom got some oysters, which they brough out the wrong bunch she asked for. My dad got the chop chop salad but wasn't overly thrilled with the lettuce combo, but it was a good size for only $6. Also the bread baseket was exceptional. Once we got just normal butter, instead of the ricotta mixture, the corn bread w/pecans and multi grain bread was very yummy! And warm! My borther got the chicken quesadilla and really enjoyed it - perfect app size. When our dinners came, the first issue was that my brother only got 11 oysters instead of 12. They did bring him 2 more, but they were all really small! He was not happy. My mom enjoyed her tuna tartar app, but my dad was disappointed with his chicken sandwich because it wasn't really grilled at all, and they gave a lot of bread and chips, it was overwhelmed with carbs. As for me, I got the artichoke risotto app - and was pleasantly surprised by the amt of asparagus pieces in it. It also came with mushroom proscutto and balsamic, which was cool, not what I expected at all, but the balsamic was overwhelmeing and really didn't go well with the risotto. I also got a "grande" salad w/oranges, cranberries, pecans, blue cheese, etc. It was your standard salad, nothing amazing, so it really couldn't go wrong. OVerall it was OK, but the experience was def made better by our friendly waitress! Wait time wans't too bad either. And they were very packed by the time we left at around 7:50pm on a Sat night, so you want to make a reservation! I will say though, you could get a great meal w/2 apps for very cheap (like $15) depending on what you get. And I don't think you would really leave hungry.

Although was very pleasant this was unfortunately disrupted by the pitter patter of baby elephants on the second floor above us. The food was disappointing at best. The bread was mediocre at best. The calamari was gummy. The chopped salad was fair. The flat bread had poor tasting toppings. We spoke to one of the other customers who said it had gone down hill recently.

Came here with my fiancee on a Saturday night. It's a pretty cool looking restaurant with a distinct upscale feel. Fortunately, it does not come with the upscale price tag. I got a plate of ribs for $16, a fried calamari appetizer for $9, and a beer for $4. That's a deal you would be hard-pressed to find at your local Chili's. I am not saying this is the best meal I have ever had, but I definitely enjoyed it. The service was good, the prices were reasonable, and we got to feel like we were treating ourselves to a fancy meal. Can't complain about that. This is definitely a good place to bring a date, especially after spending the day at Peddler's Village or touring the local wineries.

My wife and I spent a nice Saturday at Peddler's Village. While passing the restaurant, we caught sight of the menu and got excited... it had some really promising stuff... Adult Grilled Cheese, Market Tacos with Shortrib, etc. It seemed like good comfort presented with a bit more elegance. When we walked through the door, I noticed the hostess take a double take at me. I felt slightly paranoid, but then again when I looked at my clothing(military style hat, hoodie and sneakers) vs the decor(swanky modern and hip), I could see why. Whatever... you're spending the day shopping, it's 1pm on a Saturday... people were wearing similar stuff. I'm not going to wear a 3 piece suite to eat at your place lady. Then we sat down... and it was downhill from there. In all fairness, our appetizer(Market Tacos with Shortribs) was pretty good. Nothing special, but it was nice. We both ordered salads(but how can you mess up salads) and a few drinks. Our waiter, Aaron, was smug, dismissive and condescending. He rarely looked us in the eyes, never checked up on us to see how our food was and even walked away while we were speaking to him. Seriously, we asked him a question, he answered, then walked away. It's not like we wanted to order anything or ask more questions about the menu. It aggravated me even more when I heard him speaking to other tables with respect and warmth. My wife and I saw none of that. In the end, I tipped him 10% of the bill. Not because I'm a cheap tipper. I'm anything but that, but I also wrote on the receipt, "We found you rude and dismissive. The food was fine." I wanted to write more and leave less of a tip, but at that point, we just wanted to get out of there, Based on this experience, I would never eat at this place again. I would never recommend it to anyone. I've read a few other reviews of this place and it seems like this is the norm for Earl's. Such a disappointment.

Nice place to have drinks. They had a live jazz band playing which worked out well. Not many people in the dinning room but the bar was packed.

Definitely can be a tasty hit...some of their "plates" are a bit odd...others are quite good. Overall, the entrees are a bit overpriced (prices were lowered when they rebranded after the "Earl's-as steakhouse" idea was ditched). As a local who usually orders meals to go, I tend to go with their burgers and stuff of that sort... they also have a kids menu that's quite good and the prices are akin to a happy meal :o)

As of February 2010, Earl's/Earl's Prime, a steakhouse, ceased operation. In its place there is Earl's Bucks County, a New American restaurant, with new management and a new chef. See the "Earl's Bucks County" listing, below, for current details.

i'm a fan. i'll admit i've become a bit of a regular, basically because of its proximity to my house. the bar is quite large and that's where i normally take my meal, accompanied by the sangria (made upon ordering with riesling, brandy, and fruit juices) or a caipirinha. i usually go for the thai cobb salad, and have never been disappointed. the fried scrod (worst name ever) is really good too. it's basically fancy fish and chips. love the fact that they buy local. be careful on weekends though, since the stupid village gets mobbed with annoying tourists.

Waitress Gail, either new or not very good at her job. Only went there because all other places were filled to capacity during illumination ceremony. That should have been our first clue. Everything took forever, drinks, salads, main course. All the other tables had a bread basket 30 minutes in to our visit we had to ask if we were getting one. She brought out my 6 year old daughters lemonade in a wine glass, I asked if maybe they had so something for kids and she said, oh , you want a kids cup? Really? Then it took 15 minutes to get it back. We were never offered the specials, we heard about it from the surrounding waiters and waitress offering to the other tables. Would have been nice since my husband likes surf and turf. Menu is scattered and eclectic. I ordered the filet with garlic butter sauce, my husband ordered strip steak with au gratin potatoes.finally when dinner came over 1 hour after being seated, his potatoes were ice cold, and he couldn't eat them, my steak was cold and the butter garlic never melted like it was supposed to and it stayed a solid block of butter on top of my cold steak. Not appetizing to eat a stick of butter... Clearly the kitchen has issues with temperature control. The waitress was scarce and hard to find thru most of our dining experience. We spoke with the manager JD and he felt bad and took off the ala carte potatoes worth $8 and offered my husband a free beer, but did nothing for my steak being ice cold. Oh well, I guess because I ate it because I was starving indicated that it wasn't terrible, but I was hungry and our waitress was like Houdini and we make it a habit no matter how fancy the place, food never goes back. The manager did tell our waitress that we weren't happy with our service and she then came over with a sad face and said sorry my service wasn't what you expected...you should never put the customer in the awkward spot of having their server confront them after they share the dis pleasures to the management. That should be done so neither party has to be uncomfortable. I imagine this place is a one time visit and out. I know we aren't going back. I can get cold food and poor service at Burger King for 1/10 th of the price. Sad too because the inside is inviting and lovely.

The food at Earl's was very good. I had the ravioli on the brunch menu and my hubby had a delicious burger. the pasta dish was tasty and unique. The sauce was creamy, cheesy and lemony...yum! The service, however, was very slowwwwwwww. We were seated quickly but saw no waitress for a good ten minutes. After we placed our order, our meals took a very loooong time to be prepared. We had no bread or anything to snack on. When we ordered dessert we sat for another 8-10 minutes. Our entire meal was more than 1.5 hours long...not what we had in mind for a quick lunch! In a nutshell, great food - LOUSY service.

We had a rehearsal dinner at Earl's for about 40 people in their upstairs banquet room...we chose the Violet buffet. We also ordered 4 different appetizers and a wine/beer buffet. The entire experience was beyond my expectation. The food and service was fabulous. All the entrees..beef especially, were amazingly tender and flavorful. All the items on the buffet were special...nothing that resembled a generic buffet dinner. We are from California and did not have opportunity to taste the food ahead of time and we are so pleased. I would highly recommend it. We also orderd flowers from Village Florist..and these were exceptional also.

I think the best word to sum up Earl's is inconsistent. The decor/atmosphere is great, our waiter was beyond perfect, and our food was... charred, to put it nicely. The menu is creative and kind of all over the place, which is interesting and not a negative aspect of the restaurant, necessarily. We visited on a weekend night when the restaurant was surprisingly not crowded at all. Thus, it added insult to injury when our pricey burgers came out burnt. I ordered mine medium/well, my friend ordered hers medium. There was an unavoidable black, hard, burned layer on the bottom of our burgers. They were dry and inedible. We would have sent them back, but we had waited for our meal long enough and wanted to get home. We picked at what we could, but I can't say we'll be going back again. This isn't a Burger King, after all. We still can't figure out how a cook could not notice such an obvious thing. Our burgers would look like hockey pucks from 50 feet away, easily. I'd say we'd return to try Earl's again, but I just don't know if we're willing to shell out that kind of cash on such a gamble. On a more positive note, some of their non-cooked menu items, like their vegetables and cheese plates, were fresh.

My wife and I enjoyed our 27th anniversary at Peddler's Village, and had a wonderful experience at Earl's. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, as well as manager, who both wished us a happy anniversary. We were seated promptly at a window table. The waitress was wonderful. First, I must say that the wine selection was awesome. We started with the wedge salad - which was a very large portion. The waitress was very attentive to my wife, who has an onion allergy. In addition, the chef was very accommodating. So, I had the NY Strip with creamed spinach; my wife had grilled salmon with fingerling potatoes. Both cooked to perfection! I truly enjoyed every bite. We finished with a variety of sorbets (homemade). The special touch was having the manager come by every so often to make sure our experience was positive. Yes, this place may be a bit pricey - but I believe that the location should have an upscale restaurant as an option. This place was a newfound gem.
