The pitza is truly unique to the area and a must have. The hot pepper salad is truly amazing (except the stems!) Highly recommend a stop here on your way to anywhere

Love this place, the pitza is amazing! When I moved out of the area for about 8 years I would have my family mail me a box here and there!! It's a must try!!!

Living out west you just don't see this kind of food until you visit where you grew up.i try to explain it to my friends but they have no idea what the rave is about until you bring them this box of heaven. Senape's is a must visit when I get to Hazleton. Pizza boats and a box of Pitz just hits the spot and takes me back to my youth and reminds me of the good times living here. I have had it shipped to me but there is nothing like fresh baked product and getting it when it comes out of the oven early in the morning.

With much interest I tried the pitza last year and enjoyed it. If you try the pitza expecting it to taste a certain way, you may be disappointed. Plus, the bakery had a bunch of other good stuff. They had these items I believe they called sweet rolls, but they were the closest thing I've been able to find in some time that resemble a kolache.

We covered the checked plastic tablecloth with pitza and antipasti. We filled our bellies with a pitcher of beer... or two. We fueled our laughs with all the locals staring at us. We passed the time with ruminations about the choices we make. We made a weekend of memories that will last a lifetime. You don't get that at most of the fancier restaurants in this world.

This pizza is not even worth one star. It looks like it has vomit on it and it tastes like a lunchable. Absolutely terrible.

My father grew up in Hazelton/Weatherly and he had told me about this cold pitza for some time. Cold pitza?!?! The thought of it just didn't comprehend. Why would I want pizza that has been sitting out all day? Why not warm it? Cold? I finally had the chance to have pitza from Senape's. Ahhh, now I get it. Honestly, I would refer it as pizza bread. That sounds more appropriate, but it's called pitza. Yes, it's damn good and does the trick buying a box and taking on the road. The bread is nice and chewy, good amount of sauce and cheese. For $6.79 for a good size pitza, you can't go wrong. The building is nothing fancy, simple and old. I grew up thinking that Hazelton was only known for coal and Victoria's chocolate...I can add Hazelton style pitza now. Irrelevant to the food or quality, but I got a kick out of the box with tied close with a piece of string....reminded me of something from the good old days that hasn't changed.

Grew up in Hazleton and still love their bakery cold Pitz. With that said, I stopped in last year for a bar pizza and antipasti. Pizza is not as good as it used to be. Sauce was kind of watery and just didn't taste as good as it used to. The antipasti dressing was also pretty bland. Don't know if they're cutting corners on the ingredients or what but was disappointed... However, I did stop by the bakery the next morning and grab a box of Pitz before I left town...

I have never even been to this bakery. Ever. But let me tell you something - the pitza is so good, I want to drive close to 8 hours round trip to buy 20 boxes for my freezer. I also want 4 additional boxes, just for the drive home. When my girlfriend's parents first exposed me to the glory that is Senape's we were right outside of Baltimore (they visit PA regularly bc of family). I was skeptical when I took my first bite - it's just pizza. But then I kept eating. And eating. And the pitza just KEPT GETTING BETTER. To the point now where I now want 20 boxes for my freezer. I do like adding just a touch of sea salt (or truffle salt, if you can get it) on top... but even without, its amazing. I'm writing this review because I just ate a slice my girlfriend brought back from her parent's freezer... it has been in there for 6 months, and is as good as ever. Sweet, salty, tomato-y. There is only one slice left. I am seriously considering eating it... though she will leave me if I do. DAMNIT. Girlfriend? Pitza. Girlfriend? Pitza. I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE.

Nice little bakery. Tried the pumpernickle bread and the biscuits with raisins in them. Very yummy! Now I'm thinking I should go back to try the pizza!

My family gets their pizza almost weekly - a tray of Romano and a tray of scamutz. It's pretty good, but I find that I need to salt my slices a bit. Their fresh baked bread and rolls are delicious though! Don't eat at the restaurant - grab take out instead.

My grandparents lived in Hazleton when I was growing up, so I ate Senape's pitza whenever I'd come visit. This is still some of the best pitza I've ever had. Tastes amazing hot OR cold. In a perfect world, all McDonalds restaurants would be replaced with Senape's. This is what they serve in heaven.

When this was first presented to me I was like Yuck. Cold pizza? But this is the Best. I love this bakery and love to drive up when I get a chance. The tea biscuits are the best ever. I bought tea biscuits at an Amish bakery and they were horrible. Senape's are to die for. Walnut rolls, to die for. Prices are great. The bakery is behind this building and is small and nothing fancy. Nothing fancy but fabulous goods at a great price. You cannot go wrong. I will cry if they ever close...........................

Like the Knotty Pine, my family stops at Senape's Bakery (it's around the corner from the place in the pictures!) every time we visit Hazleton. There's a bakery (full of delicious baked goods) and a Tavern (where you can sit down at a bar or table and have a drink or some pitza), about a block apart. You can't drive through Hazleton without getting some pitza! Square, DELICIOUS at room temperature or warmed, it's the perfect road-trip food (grab a whole box at the bakery) or reason to let the engine cool off for awhile if you're driving through. The bakery also makes great breads, and my other favorites are their traditional nut rolls and poppy-seed rolls.

Fresh baked goods, friendly service, and all at an extremely reasonable price. Last time I was there they were even giving 2 baked items free with every purchase. Try the cinnamon rolls and pitza. Best pitza in NEPA in my opinion.

One of a kind, cold pitza. As good as it gets, ultra yummers.

I prefer Senape's to Longo's -- I'm sure everything they make is great, but the real draw is their unique boxed pizza with grated romano cheese cut into squares (to be eaten at room temp, cold, or warmed in the toaster).

I've been a fan of Senape's ever since I was old enough to remember how things taste. So, in other words, for a long long time. I moved away from Conyngham long ago but when I come down to visit I take a huge supply of Senape's pizza back with me and savor every bite. Needless to say this place is excellent and I would kill for pizza to taste even half as good here in Indiana.
