This is very close to Lake Marbug/Codorus State Park. In my opinion, and I have eaten at diners all over the East Coast, the South and parts of the Pacific Northwest, Pennsylvania has THE BEST diners in the world. Clair's is no exception to that rule. I didn't have the honor of trying the famous fried chicken, but I had a wondrous breakfast here with GREAT service one morning after waking up at my campsite back at the park. I know, it's sort of glamping to come out to a diner, but I just had to try it! Glad I did! It was so heartwarming too to see all the older folks from the community come in who knew each other, and the servers instantly knew what to bring them. Just a good downhome diner. But they do have some of the amenities us cityfolk would expect too, such as fresh sausage, wheat toast, etc. I'm very sad that I forgot to stop by and get some of the homemade ice cream on my way out of PA! You absolutely need to leave your campsite and give Clair's a visit while you're in the area.

The best Chipped beef and home fries! Super friendly wait staff. Also have had the broad red chicken which is amazing!!

When we're out on the bikes it always nice to find local family restaurants with comfort food. Camp food is good, but a home cooked meal now and then while on the road is great! We love the broasted chicken and honestly, haven't tried anything else as far an entree. The strawberry sundae is pretty good too!

A friend of mine took my wife and me to this place today for lunch. It's a decent sized restaurant that serves all your comfort foods and desserts. They even have a section where you can choose from a small selection of ice cream. The menu covers your hot roast beef and turkey sandwiches to meat loaf and pork chops. What I was there for was their fried chicken since my friend was telling me it was the best in the area. I got the 4 piece chicken dinner with two sides for less than $9. Can not beat that. He was right, that friend chicken was awesome. Crispy, flavorful, moist and juicy. The sides were corn and peas. My wife had their meat loaf. It was really good and it was served with mashed potatoes and gravy. If you are looking for some good comfort food at a reasonable price, check this place out. Try the fried chicken, it really is good!

Local favorite restaurant for basic meals. Nothing fancy, but still popular pretty much any night of the week. We've eaten here a couple times & have been satisfied with a good meal for the money
