We got a bunch of food from here for my daughter's birthday party and it was all amazing. We went there especially for the tomato pie and white pies, but they have cakes and cookies and prepared foods as well. While we waited for our order to be ready we sampled fresh, hot, rolls and fried zucchini. Everything there was delicious. I wanted to go back and try more, but didn't have time during this visit. We'll definitely go on the next trip.

Wow-Yo Don what happened to customer service and respect? Last week I came in to your store right after you opened. There were a few people in the store. A woman was ordering a tomato pie with no cheese,I think she said her daughter could have any dairy. Your employee the one that is always behind the counter said something to her that if she didn't like the service she could come back behind the counter and make it herself. I was shocked,I almost dropped my cannolis. Maybe she was just having a bad day but to say something like that to a customer is RUDE!

I love this place a lot. So much so that I asked my boyfriend to get food from here to greet me with at the airport when I flew home. If that's not a ringing endorsement then I don't know what is. This is one of my favorite places on earth for many reasons. First of all, it's a family owned, family operated shop. The owners are sweet and friendly and ALWAYS ask me how my mom is doing. Second, the food is crazy delicious and all home made. Favorites include their pepperoni rolls, hoagies, chicken cutlets, broccolini, long hot peppers, and BREAD!!!! The bread is seriously out of this world. We also love their soups and their homemade sauces. Sometimes it's nice to get pre-made sandwiches and cheesesteaks from here and have the work done for you, but in reality I prefer to go and stock up on all the separate ingredients and then make my own sandwiches, salads, pizzas and pasta dishes for days! I am obsessed. Get here. Now.

We were semi-regular customers of this bakery until two things happened: (1) the owner got himself in (well-publicized) trouble with the law (as another Yelper advised, "Google it"); and (2) we found other Italian bakeries whose offerings were superior. The bakery has an ambitious inventory for a small space: breads, deli, pizza, pastries, cakes and cookies. Of their myriad offerings, they excel in the bread category (especially the small football shaped rolls and the seeded round loaf). They are a reliable source for fresh breadcrumbs, too. The Mister also enjoyed their towering strawberry shortcake cake. If we were to have a baked goods emergency, we might stop here again.

Finally, a great bakery is in our area. I have passed it too many times and finally a gal from work brought in the best stromboli I have had in a long time! The bread was so good and the spinach and cheese with peppers and onions made my mouth go wow! This is an Italian bakery folks with homemade breads, pizza dough, pastries and awesome sandwiches. They have a nice sized deli with meats, cheeses, olives, all kinds of peppers, fresh mozzarella and salds. They make homemade entrees and soups and their pizza or tomato pies as they call them are delicious! dons.homestead.com/files… Great food!! Don't pass them up! I need to try their subs!

This is the best Italian food in the area. The owners Don & Deb will really take care of you, especially if you have a big party or event that needs to be Catered. LOVE their pizza. The only downside is the size of their store. It can get pretty crowded on busy nights but that just means the food is in demand...You can only take out though but worth it.

What a shame the owner operator is one nasty person. I ordered a tray for Fathers day and the gentlemen on the phone who took my order a very nice guy and knew what he was talking about told me they had a tray for 19.00 pre made and he would have no problem adding eclairs to the mix at no extra charge... WoW how nice right? Well just checked my online banking and was charged 39.00 ???? For a tray that feeds like 25 people... for just my Dad... What a gift "enough eclairs to feed 25 people!!! So I called thinking well simple mistake right? The owner gets on the phone and she ripped me a new you know what... She said her food is quality and she provides great service defending why she should keep my money for over charging me for her companies simple mistake... She never really did let me get in 2 words in our conversation she was just ready to fight... Then she hung up on me... Really!!!!! They must be hurting like most other family run business these days so need to keep what ever money they can get from customers. To loss a customer over $15.00 these days you must be desperate. This lady must have been having a pretty hard day to be talking the way she did to anyone but can you imagine her own customers who give her our hard earned money... Lets give our money to the family run business who care about their customers and are grateful for the business and not the one who steals peoples money and charge their credit cards whatever charge they want. This is Robbery! P.S. The food is not that great ether... What a shame Don Giovanni's Classic Bakery 346 W St Rd, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053 (just so there's not mistake on who I am talking about) From your EX customer. Enjoy my $15.00

DO NOT pass this place up! Not much of an atmosphere to be had in this little Italian bakery/kitchen, but the food is where they shine. The massive dessert display cases are always full of the most incredible array of traditional and contemporary treats. I'm not a big dessert person, but their cannoli is well worth it. They are a bakery foremost, and always have a speedrack full of assorted fresh breads. Garlic lovers rejoice, they are heavy handed in that department. Their white spinach and garlic pizza is phenomenal, and the spinach salad comes tossed in fresh garlic. Let me go on about the spinach salad... it comes with several strips of bacon - STRIPS, not bacon bits! Also, a side of freshly shaved reggiano. I ordered grilled chicken with my salad and I swear they gave me a pound of chicken, beautifully marinated and hot off the grill. One may balk at the prices when looking at the menu, but trust me, the portions are enormous, and if you order a pasta you get a 3 course meal. All ingredients that I have seen are fresh and of very high quality. Staff is always very nice and friendly; the place has a real family business atmosphere. Go to Don's, you won't be disappointed.

Would NOT recommend it. Went there twice in the past year and both times was a huge failure. The cookies I got the first time had the worse after taste to them and the second time i got the pound cake which was not fully cooked. Don't recommend at all and won't be going back.

best real Italian food around. definitely a winner in the savory vs. the sweet department. Best roll-ups ever, an awesome selection for vegetarians as well as barbaric strictly meat eaters! Love their veggie sandwich with lots of fresh mozzarella!

This place has gone downhill ever since they were in the paper..(Google it..) I used to get takeout from them once every month or so a few years ago and enjoyed it each time, especially their tomato pie. I went back last weekend for the first time in over a year and was very disappointed with my meal and the service. I placed a takeout order over the phone and the man who answered (the owner?) mumbled quite a bit and was not friendly at all.... We went to pickup the order - my boyfriend ordered a panini with fries, and I ordered a veggie wrap - and by the time we drove less than 1 mile home everything was soggy and gross. Boyfriend's fries were soggy and not fit to be fed to a dog. His panini was okay, except the bread was not fresh and tasted stale. My veggie wrap was very soggy and completely soaked through my tortilla. I threw out the tortilla and ate the veggies, which were OK. I also ordered a small garden salad, but the lettuce tasted gross and the balsamic vinagrette dressing did not taste very good. I didn't eat any of it. For $18 I'll go somewhere else...

Don Giovanni's tries to do too many things at once. When you walk in, you'll notice a lot of tempting stuff, but not all of it (particularly the sweet stuff) is great. Cannolis here didn't impress me, I've honestly had better from a supermarket. A recent carrot cake purchase proved downright inedible, as the cake was rimmed with rancid nuts. Other pastries have been lackluster. Stick to savory items (bread, pizzas, calzones, etc) and you'll be rewarded, however. Don Giovanni's has a great bread dough recipe, so their rolls have a crispy crust that gives way to a yeasty, very flavorful, fluffy interior. Get there early to buy bread; it stales quickly. I'm pretty sure pizzas and the like are based off of this recipe, as the crusts have excellent flavor. The sauce tastes fresh and you can get pretty cool toppings on anything you order (long hots, broccoli rabe, and the like). This place has become my go-to bread vendor. I've learned my lesson and haven't bought any sweets in a while, but the savory stuff has never disappointed.

The pieces are definitely in place but something is not running smoothly. My office gets food catered from here once a week. I'm not a big fan of their catered sandwiches. However, I did have a positive experience when I actually went to the store itself. When you walk in this place it is bursting at the seams with pastries. There is no set style. They basically make everything. Imagine a flea market of pastries. Anyway, huge selection. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. It was served on a freshly baked roll. So fresh that I watched it come out of the oven. Their breakfast sandwiches are 3 eggs (scrambled) cheese and your choice of veggie. I went with broccoli rabe. It was messy to eat. I think they could cut the amount of eggs on the sandwich and subsequently the price. Still, it was very tasty. So I think this place has real potential but it could use a little bit of refinement.
