There must *always* be pickled eggs included in antipasto plates!

I've spent a lot of time at Bud's over the last five years. And for the dozens of times I've been there I always end up with pizza and wings. Occasionally a side salad and I will say that the balsamic dressing they serve is great. Pizza and wings are both very good, I'll start with that. I will say that lately the pizza has been a little inconsistent over our last handful of visits. We tend to always order the whole wings and stick to good ol buffalo. The restaurant reminds me a lot of home, good cheap food, cheap beers, and friendly staff.

We had a great time with lots of good food & a great server, Abbi. We tried a little of everything. Reuben=delicious, caesar chicken wrap=delicious, antipasto=great, pulled pork=great, pizza=great, appetizer sampler=really good. The portions are huge & everything is unbelievable inexpensive. Back to Abbi. She couldn't do enough for us & was very pleasant throughout our visit.

Kept it simple and had pizza and wings on the last visit. We had a party of eight (including two kids) and the waitress went to great lengths to move things around and fit us in. The only knock, and this isn't really directed at the restaurant, you might consider how fussy your young'uns can be as the wait for pizza on a busy evening can be a bit longer than they can wait. Waitress did her best though by coming around with some small kid portions of salad and applesauce to keep them occupied, very nice touch. Oh, the food? Delicious as usual!

Great venue for dining after biking the Great Allegheny Passage rail trail. We always elect to dine outdoors. It's a short ride off the rail trail through town. I like to order the caesar chicken salad with cajun chicken. Hits the spot. (Oh, and steal a few onion rings from my husband's plate -- quite yummy.) Said husband claims the beer prices are very low; I, not being the beer drinker, take his word for it. All I know is that our total bill for 2 for lunch with beer is under 20.00. That, I'm up for. The only downside is that service is pretty slow -- both getting someone to take your order and getting the check . If you don't mind flagging down your server, then it's all doable.

Bar food and so much more. This is the kind of place I love to eat and all of the hype I heard about this place was spot on! We had the Sampler appetizer plate along with a small pizza (mushroom and pepperoni) and barely squeezed down a piece of the pizza since we were stuffed on the appetizers. Service was quick and our server (Jessika) was very friendly. Will definitely stop here again when traveling thru this area.

You come here for the trivia not the food, service, nor environment. Always ask for the pizza to be extra crispy or else it will be a piece of soggy greasy bread with cheese and sauce.

Bud's is still good, but used to be a heck of a lot better. Service has gone wayyy downhill. They need all new waitresses, cuz I haven't had a good one in ages. They're all young, attractive, and incredibly snobby and distant. Much like girls you used to go to high school with. Wait... I did go to high school with them! The cook needs tossed as well, cuz the food used to be excellent, then very suddenly was not. If you're going to get wings, get the buzzy wings. Its their signature sauce, and its the tops. But make sure you tell the waitress, several times for emphasis if necessary, that you want them well cooked. There has been a serious problem with undercooked wings lately. I got sick a few times. Also, don't eat the popcorn on the table. A source told me that they saw waitresses take the uneaten portion and throw it back in the popcorn machine for another table. It tastes as though that were true, so I choose to believe them. The pizza is alright. Nothing to really brag about. Very greasy. Your best bet is the appetizers. My faves are the mushroom caps, the cheesy spinach and artichoke dip, and the cheese fries. All of it will give you a heart attack, but it's really good! This is a great place to go to watch a game or have a drink at the bar. It's a local place, so watch out, it has the potential to get pretty crazy.

Really good pizza and awesome wings. Slow service but worth the wait. The Philly pizza wasn't as good as reviewed but the hazel made up for it! Wings are enormous and really full of flavor! Needed more truly HOT options though :(

Margarita pizza is very garlicky and to die for. I had guests staying, bikers from Pittsburgh, and they visited Buds. On my recommendation they tried the margarita pizza and loved it. Turns out the one guest was a real connoisseur of pizza. He said they have excellent chewy crust, too. Nice to have your likes validated, and have happy guests!

Bud Murphys is a staple for the area. Better than average "bar" food. The atmosphere is fun- a few different rooms to get served in- staple "must try" food would be their pizza; strong sauce, layered cheese and a little bite to the crust.

My nephew is addicted to Bud Murphy's pizza, so much so that when he drives up from RVA to visit the grandparents, he stops at Bud's first, even before going to see them. With that kind of endorsement, Bud Murphy's was the only choice when my husband and I were nearby and hungry for lunch one day. We chose to forego the air conditioning and ate outside in their enclosed patio area (which was also their smoking section). All the doors/windows were open and with the nice breeze coming through, we didn't notice the cigarette smoke a few tables over. Food...I got a small pizza and husband had their Fire burger. Pizza crust was good, toppings were plentiful, and overall the pizza was delicious. I could see why my nephew loved it. Husband really liked his burger and his side order of onion rings were good, too. Service was very friendly and prompt...we had so many tea refills, we nearly burst. Great experience overall...We'll be back!

From out of town and thought the burger was average. Sat at the bar so service wasn't too bad.

Defiantly a great place to eat. Right when we sat down I looked at the menu and was amazed. The prices were soooo INEXPENSIVE, but the quality of food was delicious. First off, the place had a great atmosphere. The tiki bar outside is where we sat; they had great music playing and TVs to watch the games. It was defiantly a place with a lot of regulars. We first got some appetizers, zucchini and jalapeno poppers. Both were delicious. no complaints at all, except i wish they were endless. For dinner I got some wings. The sauces were great and the wings were huge, and only 4.95 for a half dozen whole wings. The homemade "buzzy" sauce which was garlic, BBQ, and mild combined was amazing. Even my dad was "woooowww-ing" after trying it. Finally, the desserts were great and cheap. Apple pie was fresh and warm, and the chocolate cake was to die for. Such a great meal. I would drive the 40 minutes to Connellsville just for Bud Murphy's.

Bud Murphy's, not Murphy Bud's (WTH)... Best way to have a good experience -- get the pizza and don't expect stellar service (seriously, I eat here a lot and I rarely get a waitress that's refilled drinks, cleared plates, or checked on food with regularity). In fact, I highly suggest take out. Or the take and bake (unbaked pizza you pick up and bake at home). As for the food itself is standard greasy sports bar fare-- their cheesy fries are loaded with tons of cheese and bacon, the chicken quesadillas are good, the wings standard -- it's really all about the pizza, everything else is secondary.

Great place for a nice meal. The service is slow but the food is good. Everything we tried was better than expected. Nice place to go if you are not in a hurry. Stopped in after a car cruise. There were about 40 cars on a Wednesday evening. Nice little crowd of what seemed to be regulars. We will be back!

It was hot on the road and it had cold beer. I had a Reuben it was ok, nothing more I can say.

Pretty good pizza. Might be a good place to watch a game, but don't expect gourmet cuisine.
