I'm surprised more people don't know about this place. Everything about Hill's Restaurant is great. This food is excellent, the portions are large and the service is very friendly. I didn't have a chance to try their pancakes that I heard a lot about but I would highly recommend any of their omelets. Everything here is very fresh and home made. Definitely making Hill's a regular breakfast stop.

Excellent small local place in the first floor of a house. Homey, welcoming and quaint. Excellent breakfast special. My poached eggs were done perfectly and I always love places with carafes of coffee. Price cannot be beat and service was friendly and efficient. Makes me miss living down here!

Came here with my friend the other day. Food was ok, service was horrible and prices were high. Most likely won't be going back to this restaurant again.

Decided to come in and support a local small restaurant for breakfast and left very disappointed. Number 1 was the service, the waitress never checked on us once after we ordered our meal. Needed a refill on my coffee and a water a didn't get it until I was beyond thirsty at the end of my meal. The menu is way over priced compared to any other local diner and got overcharged so make sure that doesn't happen to you if you decide to give this place a chance. The food was OK, but got disgusted when I seen everyone in the kitchen without gloves and touching the food with their hands. I figured a cute little restaurant like this would have been a better experience with the service and prices but I was wrong. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Went here for breakfast a few times. Great selection of breakfast options, and the food was good (especially their homemade breads). The wait staff were very friendly however they were very slow. I wouldn't mind giving their lunch or dinner a try sometime.

Excellent breakfast, friendly and courteous wait staff. Slightly more pricey than a diner but I feel it is worth the few extra dollars.

Great food with great service, if you love wonderful pancakes and great omelets then this should be a must for everyone in the Lehigh valley area!! I must say the California cheesesteak omelet is amazing! Not to mention for the price you receive a huge portion!!

I am constantly in search of unique and tasty places in the Valley for a weekend breakfast. After reading some very positive but a bit old reviews of Hills, I thought it was worth a trip to Catty. I am *very* glad I made the trip. It's the kind of place where everyone seems to know each other. Being "outsiders" I thought we would have been ignored or given less than stellar service, but the complete opposite was true. My husband and I were welcomed and bought to a large table that seemed like it was taken right out of someone's kitchen. We were made aware of plenty of delicious specials and were told about all of the lovely homemade breads available for toast or french toast. We tried some of their famous homemade SOS, corned beef hash, and their creative and inventive omelettes, Everything came to the table quickly and piping hot. Omelettes were seasoned well, a practice not often followed in many of the Valley breakfast eateries we've visited, SOS creamy, and corned beef hash both crispy and creamy. The toast made from the homemade breads was also impressive. I highly recommend the cranberry walnut! Prices are extremely fair, especially for the portions you receive. I would happily give Hills even more stars (if I could), but there is one minor drawback, and that is that they are closed on Sundays. I get it though, they are a family establishment, and they want time with their own family...and maybe it is for the best, because if they were open on Sundays, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be giving our breakfast business to any other establishment. It's not a large place by any means, maybe 10 tables if that, so get there early if you don't want to wait.

I guess I'm in the minority here but after reading the good reviews I was hoping for better. the food was good, which is the most important part of course. compliments to the chef. my son had pancakes and bacon and I had pouched eggs. the coffee was really weak. blah. the service was below average. the prices were ridiculous. was I in cattasagua or Greenwich village? they have signs posted that said they were updating their menus so prices could be wrong. really? I should have taken that as my cue to move on. will not be back

Been going to Hills for over ten years. Such a nice atmosphere, (like you're visiting someone's house). The breakfast is second to none. They have AMAZING fresh fruit pancakes, great waffles, delisious omletts and great coffee. The apple pancakes are addictive. The owner takes your order and she is great and tries to accomodate you as best she can. Its all family in there and you feel like a part of it when you're there. Everyone I take there eventually goes back on their own and with their families. There are a lot of regulars there who are also very friendly. I absolutly recomend to anyone that loves breakfast to visit Hill's.

It's been a while since we went there, however the best SOS around. Gotta get there early before it runs out though.

Love this place! My mom used to go there with her girlfriends after school when she was a teenager; now my husband and I go there sometimes for lunch. It's never crowded, the wait staff is friendly and obviously care about the customers, and the food...wow. It's like being at my grandmother's house or something -- everything tastes home-cooked and fresh to order. Particular props to the chicken soup, which is AMAZING. The prices are also very reasonable, with many entrees under $10 and nothing over $20.

A great local gem, this place has been here forever. My parents go for breakfast all the time. Most people are regulars and are on a first name basis with the friendly waitstaff. It's like an extension of your mother's kitchen. Busiest for breakfast and lunch, but they do serve dinner. Reasonable, homestyle diner food. Yum.

The best breakfast in the entire Lehigh Valley. We rarely order off the menu and the chef is just amazing. You won't regret a visit to Hill's for breakfast. It is the only place we go!
