Bing's is.... meh... okay. I have been here several times and enjoyes my dinner. The staff seems ok. There just seems to be something missing here. I'm not quite sure what it is. The decor is retro and make you want to really love the place. The service was ok. The menu is diner. It is a little on the pricey side for this type of place. Maybe if the staff acted like they were actually from the 50s and made the place a destination. Maybe the prices could be lowered. Until they do something like this, Bing's will be on my list of take it or leave it.

Bing's is a cute retro-style diner with lots of antique & reproduction signs and other memorabilia. I was a bit disappointed at the menu. I was hoping for more variety, but if you're looking for a sandwich or burger, this would probably be an okay place. I had neither, though, so I can't really judge. My dining partner and I both had the Monday night special - fried shrimp and fries. It was okay, I've had better. The fries appeared home cut, skins and all, and were pretty tasty. The shrimp was probably frozen to start with, but tasted okay. I got a cherry coke, which they mix at the fountain. You can also get vanilla or chocolate coke, or maybe a combo. The food is really just average. Not terrible, not great. Okay place if you're passing through.

Finally got to Bings for lunch. Got a Bings burger which has cheese and a heaping portion of bacon. Ordered it medium, but it was closer to well. Bun was tasty, with a peppery seasoning. Fries were very good, hot and fresh. The desserts are homemade, I went with the "Whoopie Pie Cake", it was a good rendition of a whoopie pie, with whipped cream on top. $11.29 for burger, fries, iced tea and dessert--a tad pricey Waitress was new, but attentive. The decor is truly awesome, very retro, with a bunch of cool nostalgic soda signs. Love the teal and cream booths.

Home made soups, stuffing, meatloaf & chili ~ real food; the burger was very good & their fries are hand cut.. generous portions & friendly waitstaff. Delicious desserts too ~try the Whoopie pie cake, it is amazing!!

We love eating at Bings every time we are in the area. Fried pickles are a real treat, as are their iced cream treats. French fries are delicious. Chili is excellent. The staff is friendly and on the ball. No complaints! The Gerharts, Reading PA

i had two very different experiences at Bing's. My first visit was shortly after they originally opened. Everything was new and shiny! It was a breakfast visit and unfortunately the food was terrible. I think the cook may have been new also. Second vist was a year later and everything still looked great. This time though the food was excellent. Home cut fries were great, a tasty rueben, and a fine chocolate malt. So 3 stars for now with a potential for growth!

Bings is the living example of average to below average. When you walk in the diner is sparking clean with a beautiful retro look that really gets your hopes up. Unfortunately, the amount of detail put into the diner and decor doesn't follow through to the food. Portions are small and are kinda bland and boring. It doesn't feel like anything is made in house. It just all feels like prefab food that is deep fried or grilled to plate. Overall its a good solid disappointment.

After living in Lebanon PA for 2 years and eating at a diner just like Bing's I was very excited to try it however I never made it to the restaurant until well over a year after it opened because the word on the street was really bad. I have eaten there twice even though I live close by and enjoy eating out often. I must agree to the other reviewers that if you went on decor alone this would be the 5 star of the area. I cannot think of a cleaner better decorated place in the county. I had the Hot turkey sandwich and it was very good. My wife on the other hand has not liked a single thing she ordered. The other thing is the prices but given the money put into the business it is understandable but you also have to really deliver on the food. The wait staff has been easily 5 star on both visits. If I were the owners given the less then stellar reputation upon opening it would be a great idea to do something like making small tasting version of the menu items and get out into the community at some of the many event or even right in their parking lot to peak interest in business.

I very much wanted to like this place, but the food just wasn't that good. I came with several family members on a Friday evening, and the place was nearly empty. It would have been more fun had it been full. According to my folks, they are often packed, so perhaps last night was just an aberration. It's been open for several months now, so it's nearly spanking new. The owners really went whole-hog on the diner theme. We're talking antique signage, teal and cream vinyl booths, black and white checkerboard floors, and a real, honest-to-goodness old-fashioned jukebox, with the bubbles and everything. Onion rings: B+. GREAT batter and a solid, continuous piece of onion inside. Very good. French fries: C+. Hand-cut skin-on fries but less than hot and lacking much taste. Chicken grilled sub: C-. Not a grilled chicken sub. This is more like a chicken philly cheesesteak; I had mine with no cheese, but it needed some flavor and moisture because the chicken itself had neither. The waitress was pleasant and efficient (super cute too), so no complaints there.

Went to Bing's for breakfast during a visit to Burnham for a softball tournament. There were 3 of us and we only had 30 minutes before we had to leave. The waitress was a bit short with us when we asked if they were able to manage our time frame but we decided, after seeing how clean and organized the interior was, to take our chances. Turned out to be a pretty good breakfast! Two of us ordered the cream dried beef over hashbrowns, which we both agreed were good with the exception of the fact that there were ALOT of hashbrowns and not so much cream dried beef. The other person in our party ordered a breakfast scramble which she ate all of so, I am pretty sure it was good. The total bill for 3 of us was less than $20, definitely reasonable. I liked the decor and atmosphere too!
