In todays economy, taking the family out for dinner often requires a financing plan. I recently took my 2 kids out for dinner and a movie and it put me back almost $60! Mind you, we didnt even get snacks at the movie theater..we snuck our own in. If we had bought food there, you are looking at another $20 to $30...minimum! Thats close to a Franklin for only about 2 or 3 hrs of entertainment. I can remember when a family could spend a day at 6 flags for that kind of money. So it is with great pride that I can suggest to you, an afternoon at Chuck E Cheese. Here is what I like about it. First- There is no admission to get in. Considering all there is to do in there aside from the video games ( huge play area, singing with Chuck and pals on camera, etc) thats a great bargain. Second- They DO have food. Pizza and other kiddie faves. Its not Le Bec Fin, hell, its not even Pizza Hut, but kids like it and as an adult, I can stomach it. And really, if you arent discriminating about eating other peoples food, you could have a feast with all the stuff that people just leave on their tables. That said, we rarely eat here but its nice to know we could if we need to, and it wont break the bank. Its hard to miss all the coupons they put out, which include pizza, soda and tokens...which brings me to.... third- In a world where even old school Pac Man costs at least 50 cents and some games are $1, all of Chucky's games are 1 token (1 token = 25 cents). They have such a diverse array of games, from pinball to arcade games, kiddie rides, air hockey, picture booths,and ticket winning games. $20 will get you a long way, even if you have multiple kids. The ticket prizes are pretty crappy, but they could offer nothing and it would still be fun, the prizes are just a bonus. I often go on afternoons when we all have off ( its better and less crowded on weekdays). They do have some sort of security system where they stamp your hand, but the execution is somewhat lax, I more think of it as a safety net and try to keep an eye on them myself. I often bring a book , magazine or newspaper to read while the kids play, but im often called by the allure of the video games. ( " I can get more tickets than that little punk!") You could literally spend an entire day here for under $50 I hope the economy doesnt change the way Chuck operates. Hes got a pretty sweet deal going and as a parent, I appreciate it. Its really only a matter of time before we actually move in.

As much as I hate to admit it I really love Chuck E. Cheese's I want tokens for myself to play a little fun arcade games kids have a blast. There are some casino type games that resemble gambling if you can tolerate the noise you can tolerate Chuck E. Cheese's

I took my daughter there 2 days ago. I sat down to eat my pizza took a bite and the cheese and crust was fine but the sauce burnt my tongue and throat pretty bad. 2 days later and its still bothering me smh. Other than that the place is great just be careful with eating the pizza. Glad it was me and not my daughter who got burnt. Only gave 3 stars because of the pizza sauce burning me other than that i would of gave 5 stars
