I discovered Chadwick's in the beginning of 2007 and I think I have been there about 25 times since that time. I love this place as a lunch spot during the week or an after work place to get a quick beverage. Chadwick's offers a blend of delicious cuisine, a very relaxing atmosphere and really great service. I've also hosted some work events there over the past year and Lori the event planner is one of the best. The menu selection is pretty traditional and the prices are very affordable. The full mahogany bar is beautiful and the outdoor seating in the warmer months is a must. The restaurant is actually on the grounds of the General Washington Golf Course so around happy hour the bar gets pretty packed with tired golfers who have just finished the 18th hole. There is ample parking and the waitstaff is extremely attentive and friendly. The restaurant was recently renovated to include a banquet room for a large event. Definitely try this place if you get the time.

Went there for Sunday brunch... Horrible!!! Very few selections, had to ask to have food refilled while the staff just stood around, service was terrible she forgot our drinks many times we had to ask another server for drinks, pasta was dry and bland, they had bruschetta and an olive topping but nothing to put them on and when I asked three different employees including a manager they looked at me like I was crazy to ask where was the bread or something to put those on and they just said I don't know, and the potato salad was warm!!! Never go there never waste your money!!!!!

We've been twice for all you can eat crab legs, which is well worth the $25! Things I couldn't get my head around: 1) The side salad came with 1 1/2 cherry tomatoes; I don't understand why they couldn't have thrown in a few more tomatoes and some onion or something! 2) We ordered dessert as the same time as the couple we were with, yet mine arrived 15minutes earlier, we were long done by the time they were ready to dig in 3) I got the molten chocolate/lava cake. It was frozen in the middle! No melted chocolate, just a cold fudge ball in the center I will say that service was pleasant and efficient, food was good, not great.

Went there last week for crag leg night and had TERRIBLE service. It was super slow and the waitress never came around. She also made us feel bad for ordering more crab legs when it's ALL YOU CAN EAT...geesh! I am deciding if it's worth going back. Maybe if we had a nicer server. The bus boys are always fast and friendly.

The food was really good. The portions were large. But, the service was very bad. Our waitress was very slow.

A solid 3 stars. Located on the grounds of just an average public golf course, Chadwick's and it's very nicely decorated and furnished interior, it's beautiful bar was my destination for the evening. Service at bars (as the servers cannot run and hide in the kitchen) is usually very good and this was no exception. There was a decent selection of drafts (decent is defined by me as having more than a handful of crafts including a minimum of 2 IPA's), and what looked like a varied selection of top shelf liquors. Appetizer specials at the bar for $5 were just OK. It was recommended to try the cheese steak spring roll (dry meat and couldn't taste the cheese) and the dragon shrimp (small shrimp, small flavor except for the sriracha sauce), the asian slaw served with the shrimp was OK...overall I could have done without. Entrees, the brick chicken had terrific crispy skin, a full half chicken. The leg and thigh were very good, but the breast was way overdone and dry. It was served with dry mashed potatoes and garlic laden broccoli. The pork shank was described by our server as fall from the bone, it was, but it was drier and not as tender as one would wish. The shank was served with a pappardelle pasta in a thick tomato sauce. The flavors of the pork, pasta and sauce were good, but the shank could have been more moist and less chewy. There were many things on a very reasonably priced menu that I would like to try in the future. So I will go back, but not necessarily soon.

Unacceptable. Friday night at 6:30 and there is a 30-40 minute wait for a table when the restaurant and bar are at half capacity. Clearly overextended and under staffed with two private parties. When this place is empty during the week next week and we're not at the bar supporting your business....remember the catering was more important tonight. I've watched a dozen families turned away. This is embarrassing to watch. You're in the restaurant business Chadwick's ........it's called hustle.

I attend Chadwicks here and there with my coworkers because they like the nachos there. I don't really understand the hype, never been a fan of the "Dried cheese nacho" but whatever. Anyway, it is a beautiful restaurant with nice outdoor scenery and available seating. Also well equipped with many tv's to show any prime time event on tv. Unfortunately for us and for Chadwicks...we were there for the food. Never had anything here that really wowed me. Other than the service, with which there numerous times where I said "Wow! This service is terrible." It's as if 9 out of 10 servers there just started working there...every time. They often struggle dealing with larger parties in a timely manner in terms of food prep and seating...overall just very average. It's a beautiful place and if you're into the country club scene, it may suit you. But this review is for the restaurant.

This is not a review as much as it is a wake up call to the people running this place. To start the place is beautiful; the bar area, the banquet hall, the restaurant, and the outdoor Patio - especially the outdoor area... Nice job on all that good stuff! To start kill the music you play as it is truly horrible!!! As we sit here enjoying a drink I'm listening to Stevie Wonder "I just called to say I love you"... No one under 50 thinks this song is appropriate to play in a bar. Please I beg you change the music selection!! Since I'm on music why not give some live music on the patio a chance. The outdoor space is huge and is perfect for a live band. Finally, put in an outside bar! Outside bar would be perfect and could really turn this place around! Oh and one more thing.... I realize I wrote finally earlier, however one more thing occurred to me... Get some Hendrick's Gin! Seriously how can you not have Hendrick's Gin?!?!?

Excellent service, got seated right away. Food was delicious from the goat cheese bruschetta app to the lava cake dessert. Also very reasonably priced. For two ppl for drinks, 2 apps, 2 entrees and a dessert for $60! Highly recommend. Will be coming back soon bc everything on the menu looked great!!

This was my first time at Chadwick's, and I had a really nice time. The atmosphere was very well put together, and plenty of spaces in-between the tables. Even though the furniture and other accents to the dining room are really nice, it is still a slightly casual atmosphere. They do have a kids menu, and I saw a few families dining there. The food was great! My favorite was the Baked Goat Cheese Bruschetta. Plenty for one person (it was on the 1 person appetizer selection). Some of the items on the menu are a little on the pricier side, but I was able to find an appetizer and entree for less than $20. Everyone at my table was happy with their meals, and have no complaints. Will most likely go again.

The only saving grace in this restaurant was a lovely hostess, Crystal. We walked in at 8:30 to a mostly empty restaurant with 5 adults and 1 toddler. For some inexplicable reason it took them over 15 minutes to get a table for us. During that time we walked around the restaurant with my 2 year old nephew, he wasn't being too loud but was walking around all the tables. He saw balloons and wandered back over into another section. Turns out it was a sectioned off area for a birthday party but the birthday girl smiled and said hi to him and didn't seem to mind. The manager, who clearly has no interest in customer service or repeat customers, came over and yelled at us. While I appreciate that it was a private party, we were already in the process of trying to get the little one out of there. The way she handled the situation was awful. After finally sitting down, our waitress really didn't have a clue what was going on. The only reason for going there - beer taps - were broken and you could only order 4 of them. Our food came out wrong, out of order, and really wasn't anything special. Save for Crystal, the place was horrible.

Went for brunch on 5/6 with my sister. It's 14.99 per person. On the brunch buffet they had a carving station, omelet station, waffles/french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, various breads and pastries. Of the lunch variety they had stuffed shells, chicken marsala, deviled eggs, various pasta salads, garden salad, and some desserts. Food was not warm and lacked flavor. The omelet station had little options, but was the hottest and most flavorful thing I ate. I left hungry and unsatisfied. I will not return for brunch.

I can give Chadwick's a 3-star review for several reasons. It was clean, the food was decent, and the beer was cold. Otherwise, the experience itself was lacking. We had to ask the waiter for many things multiple times - water, martinis, refills on beers. The dishes never seemed to get cleared in a timely manner. The food, as I said, was decent. We got some portabello fries to start with, which were a little soggy, and had not very much flavor. My boyfriend got a cheeseburger and onion soup that he really enjoyed, and we both loved our desserts (peanut butter cookie sundae and the mango Napolean). I got the scallop and shrimp fettuccine and Manhattan seafood chowder. Both were decent, a little underspiced, and the vegetables seemed canned. Also the corn in the pasta was a little out of place. The waiter was very kind, and maybe it was just an off night for him, but I don't know that I'd make the trip all the way out to Audobon again for the food. Pretty countryside surrounding the place though. If you go, say hi to the cows for me!

We ate a lovely lunch here today. Service was slow, but pleasant. Our server, Lisa did a terrific job with our party of 8 and everything was served as ordered. I had the Chadwick's chopped salad (minus the bacon, dresssing on the side) which was terrific. And for $10.95 it is gargantuan. Topped with a warm, sliced, grilled chicken breast. The interesting addition? Shaved white chocolate. YUMMY. CInnamon sweet potato fries were cold, but still addictive. A nice place - very upscale "country club" decor. The only complaint? Very slow service. Slow for a hostess to greet us, and slow to order and get our food. Don't come here if you are in a rush. Thankfully we weren't or I'd have to give it 2-3 stars. Food is GREAT!

I recommend the bar and golf course. I know both of those are awesome. And everything you order to eat at the bar is going to be fantastic. Their food, made to order is awesome, no doubt about it. Never did brunch or even ate at the buffets, I've seen their buffets but never ate the food. it's not that type of place to me, I'd be more interested in drinking/eating at the bar. I've also enjoyed their their meals during wedding receptions on several occasions. If you're getting married, give it a look. If you're looking for a bargain buffet, try chinese!

I usually go here for the Sunday brunch. It's only meh. You get what you pay for and I'm fine with that. Service is always great as the table is always cleaned off by the time I get back to my seat.

I discovered Chadwick's on restaurant.com and one glance at their kids' menu determined that we HAD to check it out. My husband and I went last week to try it out, figuring that if we liked it, it could become a regular place to take the kids, with food they would actually eat, and at reasonable prices! Pulling up we were impressed with the building, the golf course location, and the decor. The restaurant was almost empty, with one small table, and one larger family gathering of about 10-12 as the only other customers at the time. We decided we would try the sampler, but with seasoned fries rather than portabello fries. Note that the portabello fries on their own are $7 and the seasoned fries are $4. Our waitress told her that there was no way they could replace them, and that she could ask, but it would be pointless. Ok, either you know for sure that it's not a possibility, or you don't know and you ask, without making it seem like it's wasting your time. So we decided to try the "asian" chicken wraps. There were no drinks on the menu, but considering we walked past a bar on the way in, "Do you serve alcohol?" seemed like a legitimate question. She seemed shocked that we were asking, and then said that they didn't have a drink list, so what kind of drinks did we want? We asked what wines they had, and she came back from the bar with the names written down. We ordered the Riesling and Pinot Grigio and when she brought them back, she said she had no idea which was which. My husband got the Cowboy cut Prime Rib, described as being lightly seasoned with steak sauce, and served on top of fizzled onions. We knew there might be trouble when she asked how well he wanted his prime rib done... I went with the top sirloin steak, medium well. Neither one of us noticed that she didn't give us the choice between baked potato, fries, or mashed, as was listed on the menu. One of the other waiters brought our appetizer. On first glance, I was super excited. They had the typical choices...chicken, shredded carrots and cucumber... and they had what they called lo mein noodles, wonton strips, and three sauces. Then we dug in. The lettuce was small spring mix type lettuce, not typical iceberg, and it wasn't crisp enough to be able to hold anything inside of it. The lo mein noodles were spaghetti with no flavor, the wonton strips were stale, and the three sauces were an italian type vinagrette, a duck sauce, and something of barbecue consistency that tasted like a black jellybean. Our entrees arrived and Jason's prime rib had grill marks on it. Contrary to what we both thought "fizzled onions" would be (sauteed onion slices), they are actually the crispy onions from a can that you put in green bean casserole, and the whole thing was drenched in a less-spicy A-1 knockoff steak sauce. My steak looked alright, but tasted like liver. We both got baked potatoes. I got butter and sour cream. Jason got neither. At least our steamed vegetables were good (and like an old folks' home dining room, they are all you smell as soon as you walk in the door.) Halfway through we ordered another glass of wine each. She brought it to is explaining that she found out how to tell the difference... that Pinot is almost clear, and Riesling is darker.... Ummmmm not most ones that I've tried but ok. The confusing part being that neither one of the glasses tasted quite the same as our first. We chalked it up to being a little wine buzzed and having traumatized taste buds, but when we got the bill, we realized that they had given us four completely different (and differently priced) glasses of wine. But hey, at least we had shirtless rednecks rebuilding engines on the Speed channel to watch on the big screen TVs on the walls...

I love that there are so many restaurants outside of NYC on Yelp now :) Last May my mom hosted a party for my dad's birthday (which I helped plan) at Chadwick's, and I have to say I could not have been more impressed. As Martha mentions, Lori is a fantastic event planner, accommodating and easy to work with. I had never dined at Chadwick's, nor had I seen the banquet hall, so I was very nervous that things would not meet my expectations... I was so wrong. I arrived to a beautifully decorated sparkling new banquet hall, polished wood floors, high ceilings, lots of windows with fresh drapes, white table cloths and new dishware. I headed straight to the bar area, which was not because I wanted to forget my surroundings, it was because I'd just purchased balloons at a dollar store and would now need to greet people I hadn't seen in years. We did a simple buffet (I'm terrified of buffets, but I didn't make this choice, however) it was elegantly set up, the serving dishes and utensils were very nice (not worn or tacky) and the food (ziti with marinara, salad, bread) was excellent. I can't comment on the chicken-parm b/c I'm not a meat-eater, but it looked really good and people loved it. The desserts were great too and they let us bring in a cake from somewhere else. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the space, as I mentioned, was really incredible. The banquet room is gigantic, well-lit, and elegantly decorated. Plenty of room for 60+ people, some area to dance, space for gift tables, food tables and the private bar area... If you live in the area I would recommend Chadwick's for your next private party. No it's not as big as say, Chateau Granieri, but that place is just tacky and is a parking nightmare. Chadwick's has tons of parking. I'm only giving 4-stars because I haven't dined here in the restaurant, but I'm sure someday I will and will revisit this review at that point ;)

I ate there this past Friday after work. They have a good sized bar and restaurant area, very well designed. There was a decent crowd of people, even though is was a cloudy day, not that great for golf. I ate at the bar area. The bartender was attentive and helpful. I ordered the appetizer/entree/dessert special for $14. I got a seafood bisque, baked flounder with mashed potatoes and veggies and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was very good - the fish seemed like a small cut but tasted fine and I did not walk away hungry. I was very satisfied and would return. The menu had a good variety of choices - pasta, prime rib, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, etc. Overall a good experience.

Altogether the food was pretty good, but the service I experienced was just poor. Tried going there a few times and really if you can deal with being treated as a second class citizen to get to the decent pub style food then you should check it out. The waitress seemed disinterested in us and the bartendar who looked to be about 12 made us feel like we were bothering him with our empty drink glasses as he was talking with other waitresses. Other downside is that it doesn't have much around it so if you want to head anywhere afterwards you are going to have at least a 10-15 min ride.

So what is a "Country Club" atmosphere you ask? Well, since you asked, I'll tell you. Most country clubs have golf courses so that's often included in the vibe of these places. Chadwick's is no exception. The dining room and bar overlooks the course with lots of windows. There is outside seating which is killer for Happy Hour on a balmy summer day. The mahogany bar is very nice and it's in an upscale white tablecloth restaurant. Just because I said upscale doesn't mean you need to dress up. Casual clothes are just fine. If you want to give them a try I suggest either the Happy Hour or the weekday lunch special. Every weekday you can choose between two soups, a hot or cold 1/2 sandwich and a side salad for $8 and change. Today I chose mushroom soup which was loaded with those wonderful fungi and had a nice touch of sherry. My side salad was plated beautifully but could have been a little bit fresher. My 1/2 roast beef wrap was packed with meat and included tasty horseradish on the side. Service was very speedy which is always appreciated at lunch. Down the road at the corner of Egypt and Trooper is every fast food joint and chain you can imagine. Sometimes you just sigh and say "I need something different today." Chadwick's might be a pleasant change for you.

I'm actually sitting at Chadwicks writing this review because of how freaking SLOOOW the service is. 15 mins and counting to get my check. There's a whole 3 other tables occupied in here, I don't really get what the wait staff is up to. Anyway, I give this place props for the delicious phyllo cheesesteak (try it out) with provolone cheese. On the other hand, they get low ratings as far as service and attentiveness goes. It took forever to get my meal, the waiter didn't come and check on us and is taking way too long with the check (yes, still waiting). I can't deal right now. If you also cannot deal with painfully slow service, I suggest you find somewhere else to dine.

This review is solely for happy hour. Is it odd that many of my reviews start out with that first sentence? Hmm.. Chadwicks a little off the beaten path, since the restaurant itself is hardly visible from the road (luckily there is a large sign by the road so you can't actually miss it) and not located next to any other businesses. The restaurant is much larger than I anticipated. You walk in to a wide open foyer with a host stand, and you can choose to walk into the bar or be seated in their spacious dining room. But again, this review is not for the dining room. I made it to happy hour the minute it started - and not by accident. There were only a few patrons already there, and so the bartender was quick to take care of me. There are many specials. Domestics are a mere $2 and all of the rest of their drafts, which included at least a half dozen craft and imported selections. House wine glasses AND well drinks are only $3.50. There is literally something for everyone here. (Except for my bff's adorable stepmother who asked the bartender for sprite zero. So cute. Just so you know, Chadwicks and any other bar on the planet do not have sprite zero.) There's also a special on appetizers for happy hour. I'm pretty sure it's half off appetizers, but don't quote me as it's been a month or two since I've been, and their website doesn't list the price. We were going somewhere else for dinner, but decided to try out their goat cheese bruschetta appetizer. The bite that I was able to snag was really good, I would absolutely order it again. I can't comment on the rest of their food, but I did peruse the menu and was surprised by the reasonable prices. Perhaps that's not a good thing, actually. Either way, I will definitely be back for $2 bud lites and yummy bruschetta!

Second time here for prime rib Sunday special. 1st time it was great. Tonight was poor. Even the baked potato arrived mildly warm. Won't be back. Service and quality inconsistent.

I will not be returning to Chadwicks. The wait staff is extremely rude. Last nite our server never brought out our dinner rolls and never checked on us once during the entire dinner. We thought she had left. Apparently she had a bigger party that was more important than us. My salad was not fresh. It seemed as though it had been sitting out all day. I asked our server when I ordered if my dinner was considered "an entree" because the kids eat free with purchase of entrée. She said yes but when the bill came we were charged for the kids meals. The manager Aaron did not handle the situation professionally. Poor management, rude staff, crappy food. Will take my business elsewhere thank you.

I worked at Chadwick's for many years as a server and bartender, so I may be a bit biased in terms of my overall liking of the place, but I now go there regularly as a customer and look forward to dining and drinking there. I really do. Their food is awesome, especially since they updated the menu several months ago. The restaurant itself is a bit removed from the main roadway, but the place is really a gem at the end of a long driveway. Here are my personal food recommendations: Apps: You can never go wrong with the Dragon Shrimp or Calamari. If you are watching your waistline, then order the Chicken Wraps. Entrees: I am obsessed with the Blue Corn Tacos, and I always order them with the pulled pork, or fish (blackened Talapia is my favorite.) Other favorites include the fish market selections (get the artichoke heart beurre blanc preparation - I usually have it with the salmon) and this time of year especially, the Low Country Short Ribs are the way to go. They are comfort food at its finest. Salads - Try the Grilled Chicken and Pear or the Chophouse. Wine - The wine menu changes a few times a year, but if you order a bottle try the Aquinas red Cabernet if they still have it. Beer - Let the bartenders recommend a craft beer for you - they know what's good! Speciality Drinks - Champagne Cosmo Desserts - Bread Pudding. Ask for a take out box and then eat the other half for breakfast, it's even better the next day. I also love the staff at Chadwick's. Some of them I worked with for a long time, (the friendly bartenders, for example and a couple of the current servers) and many others I do not know personally. However, all of them are consistently warm, friendly, and always make me feel welcomed and appreciated.

This place is a dump. Service is slow and the food is awful. Order a tuna well done came out half cook and tasteless. Soft drinks water down with ice water. Don't ruin your evening dining here at all. Poor quality food poor service period!!!!

This place has one of the best views around. Sit outside and enjoy the view of the approach to the 18th green! Really good food, good service, and the bar is quite exceptional. Come in the winter for a cozy seat by the fireplace. This place is a regular for our family.

Nice atmosphere but food & service need big improvements" Chadwick's dining room is quite pleasant except for the TV screens all over, which gives an appearance of a sports bar. But only slightly. It is a beautiful room. Now for the pros & cons: Pros: The hostess was friendly and accommodating. The prime rib was excellent but not hot enough.. The atmosphere was pleasant. Cons: The soup was so-so. lacking flavor, and served only luke warm. The server who brought some of the food was very indifferent and unfriendly. He acted like he was doing us a favor; it seemed he must have just had a big fight in the kitchen. The entrees were served not hot enough.. The vegetables were a bit over cooked. Over all we had a pleasant meal but next time I'm going to let the manager know of our dissatisfaction if it happens again.

Once again the reviews are not the best for Chadwicks but we went there to enjoy some outside seating and we had a great time. Awesome martini list and a bunch of tables right on the 18th hole. You can watch golfers finish up for the day and sip on your glass of wine or martini. The only negative was the manager. She was walking around asking everyone how their meals were except the young 30 year olds. I thought that was very rude. But other then that we loved Chadwicks and the outdoor seating. We ate the chili nachos which were delicious! Can't wait to go back and hopefully this time the manager will care! :)

Went there on Friday night, I've driven by the place but never stopped in. Walked into the bar and wow it is nice, seems to be very upscale. Order and beer while I waited for my date. We got to our table and the server, Jenna came right over. We ordered some apps and another beer and glass of wine. We got the Calamari and the Crab and Shrimp fondu. The fondu was very good, had some bacon or smoke flavor which I could have done without. It was also served with grapes and apples, weird to me but it worked. I order the 8 oz steak, I like my beef med rare and no extras, just give me the beef. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sauce on the side wasn't too good. Better off with some A1, but who needs anything with a good steak? I only wish they had a bigger steak to choose from. I was hungry for a steak and not in the mood for prime rib. The veggie medley was very very good and the baked potato was great too. The lady got catfish and that was cooked perfectly, nothing worse then over cooked fish and this was delish. Overall and great experience, our server was on her game, the food was great. My only complaint was the slow service at the bar. Oh yeah one more quick note, this place is very affordable. By the looks of the place, you would think it's pricey, but it was very affordable.

I figured I would give the Sunday Brunch a second chance, and I would NEVER go back again. It is a all you can eat buffet style with customized omelets, fresh fruit, salad, potato salad, pastries, deserts, eggs, meat, french toast, pancakes and waffles. The food had absolutely no flavor, I had to add pepper and salt as needed just to make it taste better, even the cheesecake had no flavor! On a side note: the cream cheese for the bagels were in a bowl (without ice) right next to the hot toaster, probably not good for bacteria growth. The brunch lasts from 10-2, I came at 12:30 and it was not very busy. Save yourself $15 and get a good breakfast somewhere else.

I came here for a rehearsal dinner. My brother is on a raw, vegan and gluten-free diet. When I explained this to the waitress, she didn't eye roll, instead she was extremely accommodating. The chef started by making a fruit salad, a vegetable salad for dinner along with a sorbet. My brother absolutely loved it and he was introduced to new food to eat. Honestly, this really impressed me. I ate the Crab Cakes, which were layered with Corn Bread and came with Red Pepper Aioli. It wasn't a combination I would have thought of, but it was really good. The only issue I had with Chadwick's Restaurant was that the area that we had the rehearsal dinner in wasn't sectioned off completely. We were all eating in multiple tables, which was fine, but in order for other customers to get to the bathroom, they walked through the area where we were seated. This made things very awkward during toasts and when we were trying to speak across the tables.

Let me start by saying we had a wonderful server who happen to be the bartender too.Stephanie was a joy, especially having dined here before and not having the best of service. I felt that the chef is trying to do some very interesting spins on the dishes. Our mozzarella app was wedges with a nice panko crust served with roasted tomatoes and basil leaves, interesting and yummy. My cod entree was over cooked but the hash of silver queen corn, bacon and potatoes under it was excellent. My husbands short rib stuffed pasta was just ok. That was not expected because the last time we had eaten here the Braised Tuscan short rib, on the daily menu ,over pappardelle was excellent. A suggestion would be not to get their mini dessert and just order off of the dessert menu.... Mini's taste like they might be leftovers from Sunday brunch buffet.
