We drive by each morning around 7am on our way to work and never see anyone here so were hesitant as to why. My wife and finally decided to stop by this Saturday morning for breakfast and I will say we were very pleased with our meal and the attentive service. I had the chicken fried steak covered in homemade gravy, two eggs, hash browns and toast for only $6.50. The gravy was excellent so next time I'll try it on biscuits. My wife had the breakfast sandwich which comes with hash browns and it was only $4.95 Their prices are very reasonable (nothing over $7 for breakfast) and the food was very good. The menu isn't huge but it has anything I'd want for breakfast or lunch. It's not necessarily someplace I'd recommend driving all the way from Salem or Portland to eat at but if you are in Stayton around breakfast (served until 3pm) or lunch I'd recommend you stop by for a meal. This location has had many different eateries over the years and I hope this one will last. It just needs to get a daily following of regulars from Stayton and the surrounding area. I'm sure once more people try this place they will come back again.

Finally! A lot of businesses through here, and I hope this one makes it. Great prices, and good American food. breakfast until 2pm, and always good service. please give this hometown diner a try. Very Clean and Very friendly. I eat here probably once a week, and have yet to be disappointed.

What a special kind of find. This place has been hands down one of my favorite stops while in the Salem area. The food tastes fantastic, the serves has been inviting, and the prices are spot on. This place just can't be beat for breakfast. (side note, this place is small, and gets very busy, so be patient, and their espresso isn't inside if you're wanting a special coffee/drink they'll let you walk up to their drive through stand right behind the restaurant)

Had breakfast yesterday at Kelly's and food was great. Had order of biscuits and gravy and coffee. Biscuit was good. Gravy was great and coffee was hot and tasted great! Service was also good. Great place to eat!

The food and the service were both great. Our waitress whose name I forgot to get was super friendly and helpful. We pretty much ordered the whole menu cause that's how we roll. The breakfast burrito was small but really tasty with the salsa and cream cheese. It came with hash browns which were also good. The side of pancakes I had were light and fluffy, perfect. My son and I split a breakfast sandwich with sausage on a croissant that was fantastic. My wife got the French toast, eggs and biscuit with gravy all, again, really good. We all tried each other's food. Nothing got a thumbs down from this family of five. I hope people support this restaurant. It's worth it. :)

You ever been camping? The Wife, The Tax Deduction and the Mother In Law and I had been camping for four days down the highway. Now I love cooking out over charcoal and prepping my meals outdoors enjoying food the way it should be cooked. But there comes a time when you get tired of this cooking, and being the one cooking, so you don't make breakfast that last morning because of an unexpected rain shower and you head for civilization looking someone to cook for you. How our ancestors handled this everyday is mind-boggling. Into Stayton we drove, loaded with two cars full of camping gear, ice chests, two dogs and some rank dirty clothes looking for something to eat. Traveling south on the main drag we saw a quaint little place and pulled in because it was after noon but we wanted breakfast and the sign said breakfast served all day. Kelly's is an old space, a little dated in decor but it had a warm feel as we walked in and were promptly greeted by a kindly waitress and seated in the very back of the restaurant near a window, she saw the dogs in the car and wanted us to be able to keep an eye on them. The menu was excellent in its simplicity and everything was reasonably priced. We all ordered something a little different and the food came out pretty quick. My chicken fried steak with gravy was very good, the gravy was tasty and the hash browns were cooked very well without being too greasy the way I like it. Everyone at the table agreed it was a very good breakfast as downed our eggs and bacon and toast and pancakes. I have to say, particular props to the pancakes, they were quite tasty and fluffy. The service was good even though we were in the back and they were quite busy. If you're in the area Kelly's is a great option for a good old fashioned cafe food.

The food here always tastes fresh and is reasonably priced. The have a relatively small menu, mainly breakfast and burgers/sandwiches, but we love to come her for breakfast (which they serve all hours!) Service can be a little slow, but its a small restaurant. My kids love the food here and always enjoy coming, even though they don't provide any coloring supplies like some places do. This place is a regular breakfast stop for me.

So awesome! For $8 I got a ginormous burger, and a awesome salad! The salad was of good quality as well! Burger had so much flavor! I recommend over and over!

Cute little spot right when you enter town, I'm very healthy and was able to eat here without a problem. The owner is very nice and sweet and they always seem to be busy nice little diner. I will definitely be coming back when I enter town again.

Great simple food at great prices. Would definitely recommend you coming here to have a fresh made breakfast. It's a small place with a small menu easy to navigate thru.

If you are looking for a great burger joint in a small town this is it. Simple yet satisfying and all burgers come standard hand crafted and a half pound of pure delicious American beef. I am a cheddar cheese kind of a guy (and if you grew up in Oregon you should be too) and they melt the cheddar to perfection. Reasonably priced other menu items as well. Breakfast appears delicious and served all day. Small cafe right off the main drag in Stayton, definitely would stop here again if in the area.

I never had the desire to try Kelly's because it's just known as the location where everything always closes down. We decided to give it a go, since we refuse to go to the CB cafe (see other review for story) ever again. We wanted to see if this cafe would do as a new breakfast place. I started out only giving this place two stars, because everything except the French toast was lacking flavor. The biscuits and gravy were not great, the hash browns were extremely bland, and the sausage tasted like plain ground beef. But then I got to thinking about the whole experience. The French toast was amazing - I mean really really good. The price was very affordable. We fed 5 adults for about forty washingtons. The presentation was nice, the service was fairly quick, and the staff were friendly. If the majority of my food hadn't tasted so plain, I'd rate it 4 stars. I'll definitely give it another shot, and, of course, update my review. With prices like theirs, I can afford to give them another go round.

Finally stopped in and was very satisfied with the good service and overall experience. If you want a good burger with fresh ingredients and fresh fries, this is a good place to go. Good prices, great staff and good food! Can't beat that! The burgers are large though so I would come hungry. Next I think we will have try their breakfast :)

The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because it's not really that kind of place. It's a cute little diner with good food and great prices. The biscuits and gravy were awesome! Definitely recommended as a stopping point between Portland and Bend.

We were hesitant to try Kelly's cafe due to all the other failures in this location. We walked it and greeted promptly. It looked very clean. My husband loves iced tea, so we decided to try it. It was fresh brewed and refreshing. The special for the day was the firecracker burger. My husband choose the special and I had the grilled chicken wrap. Everything was very fresh. The burger was actually hand pressed. We could see all the spices in the burger. My wrap was so good. It had fresh corn, peppers and onions. And the hand cut fries we yummy and crispy...not greasy at all! We really want to come back to try breakfast! Service was friendly and fast. And prices were good! I'm excited to have a new place to go to to fine out!
