I feel that Sharis is super underrated in my opinion. Pretty good food, nice service most of the time and extremely affordable. What more can you really ask for? Especially in the middle of nowhere too. This location is very bright and clean. Service was great even though we went in the middle of the night. We really enjoyed our food too.

The food (when they manage get your order correct) isn't too bad. The service, on the other hand, is deplorable! We timed it this time ... 26 minutes from order to arrival at our table. Only 6 other people in the entire restaurant! I could go on, but I will defer to the other reviews.

Not that impressed. It seemed pretty busy, probably had the Sunday church crowd. The staff seemed stressed and irritated by everything. I saw them getting mad at eachother. My meal was pretty good, had eggs benedict. It was served later than my families food though because the sauce was still frozen. It was OK.

Horrible, rude service! We walked in at 6:30pm, not a lot of people, but the regular "dinner crowd". We got seated at about 6:50 and didn't get our order taken till about 7:15/7:20! We waited and waited for our food. Our two kids were doing pretty well for being hungry with a long wait. We didn't get served our food till 8:00!!!!! Ridiculous and the waiter was pissed when we asked for our food to go (as our kids couldn't sit there any longer). He yelled back to the cooks about wanting our order to go now, he was annoyed and wanted the whole restaurant to know it. He was flat out rude taking our order and rude throughout our *long* wait. We could not believe that the people behind us had been sat down, ordered their food, and eaten and paid all before we walked out with our to-go boxes!!! NEVER go here!!

We walked in the Restaurant and waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The man that seated us was not very respectful (not rude in any way) but not excited to see us there. He seated us at a table with a fly flying around it, not smart! (The fly bothered us for the rest of the night, we were about to walk out!) The same guy brought us water and just set it on the table, didn't place it in front of us. He also forgot to bring us silverware! A few minutes later our waitress, Brianna, came over to our table to take our orders and apologized about the A/C not working properly. Out of all the employees in the Restaurant, Brianna seemed like she was the only one who was on her A-game. We got our food in about 20 minutes. One person in my group ordered a burger (The Bavarian) off the menu and was surprised to see mustard on it. It didn't say ANYWHERE on the menu that that burger included mustard! I was a bit surprised myself when I saw the mustard because I was looking at The Bavarian as well and didn't see anything about condiments on the burger. I got the Trail Boss w/o the special sauce and thought that it was just mediocre. Nothing to write home about. The rest of my table thought the same about their meal. When we went up to pay, the same guy who seated us was yelling behind the counter! We were waiting in line before our waitress came to help us pay with a credit card. She thanked us for coming in and we left. I am from the Seattle, WA area and have a Shari's Restaurant near me. I KNOW that my Shari's Food and Service is 10 times better than this one. If you are visiting Pendleton, OR, just take the drive to a different restaurant in the area. I'm pretty sure you'll get a better experience than I did.

Service was fast and half decent, but 3 out of my 4 children got ill after going here, My sister in law received spoiled salad and some of my food was also not fresh.

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the service was exceptional. The menu is not too complicated and the selection is about average. I ordered the Denver Omelet which came with toast and hash browns and was a good value for the price. Not a high end experience by any means but a decent option for breakfast. These restaurants are part of a chain and are open 24 hours.

Reading the reviews here I thought this place was going to be a dump. However, I thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast here. Everyone was super friendly. Food tasted better than Denny's. Everything was clean. Good stop along the way.

Hey, it's Shari's. A decent motel/roadside hugging chain good for dinner and breakfast when you've finished a 600 mile drive for the day. For dinner I had the Cubana sandwich, which contrary to the flowery menu description did not evoke what I imagine the flavors of Havana street food to be. Yet a decent sandwich. My wifes' plain hamburger equaled it in Cuban flavors, but she got more fries, a tad unfair. Breakfast omelet (BMP?) tasted much better than it looked. Coffee was not bad, despite tasting like it was not made of 100% arabica beans.

This is a northwestern US chain, with 24/7 stores in California, Idaho, Nebraska, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. This particular store evoked memories of Denny's or Shoney's in both appearance and menu. It is located remotely from the city in an area populated by several budget hotels and not much else. Their fare is basic American breakfast, lunch and dinner - a wide variety of sandwiches and sides, entrées and desserts, appropriately sized for the time of day. Their signature offering is a large selection - probably numbering 30 - of fruit and cream pies. I hope we stopped in on a down evening - both the greeter and the wait staff seemed to be in some kind of trance. It took entirely too long both to be seated and to get our order taken, given the few other patrons that were there at the time. In fact, had we not been exhausted from being on the road for 10 straight hours, if there had been any other choice in the immediate area we probably wouldn't have stayed. And we weren't alone; when we were leaving there was a line of prospective patrons that extended out the door, while a large number of tables sat empty. Despite all of that, though, the food was plentiful and delicious. I had a ham and turkey club salad that was cold and crisp with a tasty dressing, and my wife had a ham and cheese sandwich with a fruit cup and a side salad, all of which seemed freshly prepared and assembled, appropriately heated/cooled and tasty. For dessert we both asked for warmed strawberry-rhubarb pie ala mode. What we were each served was a cold slice of strawberry and cream cheese pie with ice cream - did I mention that our waiter seemed to be having a difficult time staying on point? After that little mishap was straightened out, though, the dessert was delicious. I'm giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt and rating them at four stars on the basis of the quality and taste of the food. Most of their patrons are probably travelers who won't pass through that area very often if ever again - I hope that they aren't taking advantage of that fact in the area of customer service.

This place is horrible on the level of beyond poor service and the lack of quality food. I went there to get something to eat as food is few and far between in this area. I ordered the onion rings ( then gave them to the table next to me ). I asked for herbal tea and was brought Lipton. If you don't have herbal tea just say so then I could have ordered coffee. There were not that many people in the place, maybe half full and the wait staff was acting if they had never seen more than 15 people in the place. The main meal of hash browns and eggs was cold and under done. I would have to say it ranked as one of the top five worst meals of my life. There just was not much on the menu I could eat nor would I want to. Don't waste your money on this place, I ended up going to Safeway down the road to get something that would fill me up.

I thought it was great! The servers were friendly and the food was tasty. My salad was not the best, but I've had salmon with rice pilaf which tasted and looked amazing. So all in all, if you find something you like, it's an awesome place to stop and eat.

While the manager was nice enough and apologetic, our server just ruined this restaurant for us. She was slow, and after 20 minutes with no appearance we told the manager we were canceling our order. Surprise surprise, here comes our waiter with our order- 2 turkey sandwiches and a garden salad- only the garden salad was missing. She looked confused when we mentioned this- turns out she forgot to place that bit of the order. She also delivered the wrong types of sandwiches. When combined with the smell of sweat and bacon grease and the persistent fly that tried to land in our food, and maybe it was successful while our waiter forgot to collect it, I would never come here again.

This was a good restaurant in the middle of nowhere. I had a great quiche Lorraine with fresh fruit and an English muffin. My husband had hey very good prime rib dip sandwich. The service was friendly and the price was average. I would eat here again if I lived in the area.

Disgusting. Went in for a slice of pie to go and service was slow. People ahead of me complained and said it was terrible food and service. The staff seemed apathetic and distracted. The worst was I witnessed a waitress eating behind the counter. Everything was dirty- the floor, counters etc. she dropped her fork, picked it up off the floor, shoved the last bite of food in her mouth with her hands, then placed a bunch of dishes in the sink. She then turned around and went into the pie fridge and got some pies to deliver to a table and never WASHED her hands. So gross-I left. Disgusting.

Good food, nice staff, basic diner chain. Better then Denny's by far. I had the steak w/rice and veggies. The rice had almonds and dried cranberries in it which I thought ROCKED, but my step-brother had another opinion. It was a good experience. The only problem I had was the wait staff didn't refill water/sodas when he came around. Otherwise, it rocked.

During our stay over in Pendleton, we went to Shari's to eat. The place was pretty well filled. The service was good. The prices were within reason and the food was totally what was expected. The menu is huge, so an extra few minutes to prepare it should be expected. Absolutely will stop again.

We've stopped here a number of times when traveling between Utah and Oregon. Just off 84, its easy to find. The staff has always been attentive and friendly...but the Sharis is typical Sharis fare...nothing special about that! So if you are traveling...and need an hour to relax before hitting the road again, stop here.

The restaurant is not full at all but service was terrible. The servers seems busy but there is only like 7 tables... Server noticed my cup of water was empty and asked me if i need to top up the water.. Which i replied yes. After 10mins, she refill my glass... How long does it take to take a jug of water and pour some water ?

This is a nice American food restaurant with a fairly decent menu. The service is very mediocre. The food is about a dollar too much per item. They do have great pie and if you show them your motel key from the same exit they are on the pie is free. Good but not A great place to eat.

Went in last night for a late dinner. I had the pastrami deli sandwich and it was very good. The service was a bit slow and I felt like we were ignored a little bit. But sent it was Wednesday night we got free slice of pie each. Pie was absolutely delicious.

We thought about a quick dinner here, and we were in luck, the place was only moderately busy. 5 minutes to be seated, 10 minutes for water, add another 10 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us. Now we have reached the 55 minute mark and food is here. Last visit to this place.
