As another self-serve froyo addition to the area, Savory Spoon is just that - another addition. In terms of price, toppings, and decorations, I didn't find much here that separated it from the crowd. They did have a decent selection of flavors, though. I ended up getting a tart strawberry lemon sorbet of sorts, but after a few bites I thought it was very sugary and artificial-tasting. The other sweet flavors that I tried, like the chocolate and the peanut butter, were nice and rich, however. They have a Happy Hour during the afternoon where you can get a few cents off per ounce.

Their Country Vanilla has THE strongest vanilla flavor out of ANY froyo place I have ever been to. Hands down best on both coasts, I dare say! Salted caramel corn is a close runner up, and this coming from a chocoholic, I didn't even *want* to mix in chocolate after having those two flavors. Yea, that's how freaking AWESOME those two flavors were. Excellent selection of toppings, I should know since I had nearly all that would fit into my bowl. Damnit, now I need to go back for more!

All summer long...I was walking through the neighborhood, waiting for this place to open and I am so glad they did. The flavors rotate, so there is always something new to try but I am in love with the regular chocolate. It satisfies all of my chocolate needs and is fat free which is just a great bonus! Their hours are great ...I can get the baby down to bed, pass the monitor to my mom or fiance and then take a quick walk over and grab a lovely dessert. The owner man, is a great guy with all his customers which makes me want to support the business even more. I think that the name could be throwing some people off, that they might not realize that this place has amazing frozen yogurt....but it does. Come on out to the west side and join me for some tasty goodness!

I am visiting from out of town, and received a coupon from my local fro- yo place. That got my mouth watering! We went to The Savory Spoon and were all thrilled with the variety of toppings, the many flavors, and the cleanliness of the place. We enjoyed our treat and also enjoyed visiting with the owner, who was very personable. The local artists paintings were a fun touch to the decor, and if you love one, you can buy it! Go here! Eat at locally owned places! You will be glad you did! * Soups are not always on the menu.

Me = ice cream-a-holic. Savory Spoon = mecca for ice cream-a-holics. (I use ice cream and fro yo interchangeably, because to dessert addicts like me, they're both wonderfully amazing). Many self-serve fro yo places have popped up around town, but Savory Spoon is unique in that they also serve soups - more than one use for those spoons! Their flavors rotate, and they have more toppings than I know what to do with. They also have a good mix of regular fro yo, sugar free, etc. Their staff are so wonderful, giving kind and prompt service. You'll often see me stop in here before meandering down to Orenco Taphouse, because in my world, frozen desserts and beer together perfectly. Oh - and ask for a punch card. I love fro yo, and I really love earning FREE fro yo! And they have yogurt happy hour from 3-5 (I think). Does it get any better?!?

We LOVE this place! Even late on cold nights! I'm not a huge ice cream fan but when it comes to soft serve OMG! And I'm even lease of a froyo fan. However, this place has won me over with their Vanilla. It taste amazing!!! I love getting that mixed with the coconut. I fill half my bowl with froyo and then go to the toppings station ..LOAD UP! :) .... My Usual is .. graham crackers, mini gummy bears, oreo cookies, loads of strawberries... After more froyo is added, top off with multi color sprinkles and extra extra strawberries.... I know its fatty status but its sooooooooooo ONO (delicious)! Don't forget your loyalty stamps!

It's admittedly hard for me to distinguish Froyo places anymore, they all have the same set up, same colors and seemingly same flavors. It's been a little while since we stopped in, but here's what I can say with confidence... The froyo was delicious, more flavorful than most. The inside was bright and colorful, like most frozen yogurt self serve places, but it was particularly cold inside. I understand that it has to be relatively cold, but it was freezing. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The topping selection is awesome, and they weren't out of any flavors (something I encounter all too often at other, similar places) so that was a huge plus for me. If I had to choose, this is my favorite froyo place in the area. Great service too!

I guess I'm part of the five star group! Best fro yo around this side of town. Hands down. They have a nice selection of delicious flavors. My fav is the salted Carmel...oh geez it's good. Lots of good choice toppings as well. Never stale. The place itself is hecka cute, large and roomy! They have a big chalk board for the kids and adults alike to white art it up. Plus a comfy ikea vibe. :D I know where I've seen those chairs and tables before!! It's cool and clean and very fro yoyeish. Off street parking in Orenco Station. Real close to the max parking lot on that side of Orenco. So if you are taking max, jump off and grab one of these cool treats. Worth it!! Keep up those 5 stars guys!

Yum! This place is locally owned...great owner, friendly, sweet and in general a good person. There are tons of toppings and he even offered to get something had I the creativity to think of something they didn't have. I'd advise visiting as soon as possible!

My Kindergartener and I love this place! Friendly owners, very clean, and very set up for families and kiddos. They have a chalkboard wall and little buckets of chalk ready for drawing! Plus several child-size tables with chairs. Frozen yogurt, sorbet, soup, snacks, drinks, and COFFEE are menu items at Savory Spoon, enough to spend a whole afternoon. We'll be back, all the time!

I just recently moved to one of the apartments above The Savory Spoon and finally had time to take a walk downstairs and try some frozen yogurt. Their pumpkin frozen yogurt is absolutely fantastic. They have a huge variety of toppings as well, which is great. I'm generally hesitant about the cleanliness in places that attract a lot of kids, but this place was immaculate. I swear I could have eaten my frozen yogurt off of the floor if I had to. The guy who was working there showed me around and offered me free samples. He was super friendly and we had a nice chat while I was picking out what I wanted. It was a great experience and I'll absolutely be back!

I absolutely love froyo and I was excited to see that a froyo place was opening just across the street from where I live! My pregnancy cravings have been satisfied! I like this place, I really do. They have great froyo flavors and even sorbet, which is dairy free. Lots of toppings to choose from and they even have soups as well as salads. I haven't tried them yet but hopefully in a future, I will. Customer service is great as well, very friendly people.

i love this place! It is in our neighborhood and absolutely delicious. Gotta say I am a huge fan of the marshmallow and cake batter flavors. Top either one off with some crushed oreos, and you have a yummy little dessert!

Limited flavors, but good variety of toppings. Doesn't beat Yogurtland, but it does satisfy taste buds and saves me the drive to Bridgeport Mall.

Been here twice and both times the yogurt has been tasty, the toppings area has been clean, and the staff have been super friendly. This has become our family's favorite place for frozen yogurt.

I checked out the yelp reviews before trying this place for the first time and was really excited based on all the positive things everyone had to say. It was really clean, had friendly staff, and had a huge variety of toppings. But I was really disappointed with the taste of the yogurt. I tried the chocolate, coconut, and plain. All three flavors were not good. I will not be going back.

My boyfriend and I have been to this place twice now. We just discovered it and in fact I think it opened pretty recently. If not for yelp we would have never known it was there. It's super close to his apartments, tasty, and cheap. The owner is quite nice as well.
