A touch of history tonight. Lucille lived within her business for 59 years serving countless travelers along Route 66 until 2000. Her hospitality lives on. The new place provides food and drink to those on the Interstate. Tori is taking great care of us. She coached us on the menu. Sang lyrics from Oklahoma. Kept the coffee coming. The pork chop deluxe was great as was the country fried steak. Try the mushrooms. Stop here and enjoy as others have since 1941.

Excellent steak. Servers were friendly. Couldn't find anyone at front desk to pay bill so had to walk back and yell into the kitchen to get someone. Would recommend as best place in Weatherford.

Stopped here to avoid a tornado heading west and decided to get the classic burger. Really cool gift shop, antique gas pumps, dinner, and bar. Def worth a stop! :)

Route 66 Chic! Ok, I have been here a number of times and enjoyed it. It was really good today and I thought I would write a summary review. From Oklahoma City, this is a great road trip or short weekend excursion. It only takes about an hour to get to Weatherford and Lucille's. So it's not a long trip. The owner is a FAN of Rt. 66 and the building and memorabilia reflect that, along with the decor. But he has upscaled it. Remodeled it. While you will see one side, the diner side, is like a 50's diner........it's not that old; it's just fashioned and furnished to look like that. The other side is called "The Steakhouse" side and it's busier at night and weekends. They stop serving lunch on the diner side around 2pm, so then shuttle people to the other side. But there is plenty of Rt. 66 stuff on this side, too. But the restaurant is modern; remodeled. Shoot while he is shooting for notalgia, even the bathrooms have "hands free" plumbing and sinks! So you can enjoy the nostalgia but have a very decent, clean atmosphere to enjoy your meal. I have been on both sides and there on weekends. They try to have themed entertainment on some occasions. Good place to go in Western OK. Don't be surprised to see other "tourists" or motorcycle groups stopping en mass to enjoy the dining. But there is usually PLENTY of room. Prices are affordable. Menu printed as a "newspaper" like edition that you can keep as a souvenir with some Rt. 66 facts. I will try to upload some pics from the Steakhouse side. Most of the pics you see online are from the diner side and outside of the building, which itself is a replica of an older service station that might have been on the mother road years and years ago. Burgers, steaks, shakes, pasta, other dishes are available, along with breakfast. They even have "all you can eat" specials but this is no buffet restaurant. Everything is served by order. Even the all you can eat plates. Also a good place to get your "chicken fry" fix on, if that's your bent! I found the staff always friendly and helpful (except on one occasion only) and had good service every time except that once. Give them a try. Good place for a nostalgic or fun date. Good place to take the kids. Good review link: travelok.com/listings/vi…

So now I'm two meals into my Oklahoma trip and I am sick of fried food. Everywhere in this town has a menu about like Chili's but it's half as good. Tonight I decide to order the salmon, which I knew was a mistake, but proceeded anyway. I asked if it could be cooked medium rare and she said that the state of Oklahoma requires them to cook it well done. Great so now I KNOW it's going to be gross and dry. My entire meal was horrible. I was so glad it was my last night there. I mean, can't they put a sauce on something to make it interesting? Nope, we are in meat and potato, land of the bland.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews but after eating here, I don't understand why all the negative remarks? It was clean, really nicely decorated, great service, great selection of food and beer. Full bar and reasonably priced. I had the chicken fried steak which was tender and crunchy. The pepper heavy was good but I added even more pepper to it because I like it really peppery. I think kids would love this place. If you come for breakfast or lunch, the vintage diner is open. I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again.

Lucille's has so much potential. The restaurant is big, has a cool Route 66 theme, and it's located right off of the interstate. However, the food is just not good. With a drink and entree, you could be paying around $15 for the meal plus tip and it's just not worth it here. I've tried several entrees and have not liked anything. The food is plain and tasteless. You'd think chicken strips would be pretty basic but that is also a miss. It seems like they forgot any kind of seasoning. If you're just passing through and need some food, you're better off just stopping at a fast food joint. At least that will be cheaper.

Horrible service. Had to refill my own drink. Asked for bag to take our chips and salsa. Took three people to finally get one and then salsa spilled. No replacement but concern for their carpet. Horrible customer service. Pork and steak was tough. Under cooked and fix was just nasty. Two bad deals in one night. Can't wait to be back in Texas.

Convenient stop along Route 66 for travelers. The food is good but nothing to write home about.

Lucille's was convenient and within walking distance from our hotel. As we walked in at least 4 staff members were gathered around chatting by the checkout counter. I felt as though we interrupted their conversation. We sat down and were able to order rather promptly and the food was served in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my husband had the pork chop special. Food was fine, no complaints. They do have a nice room set up as a diner, it was very cute but not open in the evenings. The room was decorated with blue vinyl chairs and what looked like formica tables, would have loved to eat there. Lots of Route 66 info throughout the restaurant. We were told the diner is open 6am until 2pm for breakfast and lunch. Would go back for breakfast or lunch.

There are so many great things to say about this place. It's the most popular restaurant in Weatherford and the only one I know of that is sometimes so busy you have to wait in line on prime nights. That's unheard if for a small town. Their salmon is incredible! Some other favorites of theirs includes their chicken fried chicken, grilled shrimp, taco salad, and philly sandwich. I like to order the philly with queso cheese poured on top. They are super cool with accommodating the needs of their customers. You won't see a bunch of rules all over the menu about substitutions. Also if you like beer they have an awesome selection of MIO beers on tap and they have a full bar. Their breakfast menu is impressive and some meals are all you can eat.

I've been going for years And it was always great . But since I've came back from work in November. The service has been terrible. Getting the food wrong on the take out service. Not to mention outrageous waiting times. Which leads to the food getting cold. And sometimes soggy. I'm not very happy with this business anymore. And may not go back for a whi

This place was mentioned in an article on the Travel OK website in conjunction with Lucille's Service Station on Route 66 so we decided to take a drive and check both out. When we arrived there was plenty of open parking. The inside of the restaurant is styled like a 1950's diner. We waited for a booth to be cleared although there were plenty of tables empty. After being seated it took a few minutes to get our drink order taken but another 15 before they were actually brought to our table. I ordered the chicken fried steak with hush puppies, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. My husband ordered the all-you-can eat fried chicken with okra and french fries. The salad arrived relatively quickly but after that it was nearly one hour before our meals arrived. Our server was friendly but extremely slow and made no effort to offer us anything else while we waited. The great disappointment... The chicken fried steak was horribly overcooked making the meat tough and extremely difficult to cut and chew. The gravy had no real flavor and required an enormous amount of pepper to make it palatable. The hush puppies were obviously purchased pre-made and frozen, and the mashed potatoes were cold. The fried chicken did not appear to be fresh (we suspect frozen as well) and the meat was dry and tough. The rolls that came complimentary with the meals were so hard on the bottom that you could tap them with a knife and make noise. There was no point in asking for new food as we didn't wish to wait another hour to eat. Not only was the service slow and food horrible but we then had to wait at the front, while employees stood there watching us, just to pay and leave. I would NEVER eat at this restaurant again and highly recommend that you just eat at McDonald's or some other fast food place should you find yourself in the area and in need of a meal.

An excellent choice for lunch break on a cold rainy travel day. Waitress Nikki could not have been nicer. Her recommendations were spot on. The hamburger stew was full of veggies, spicy and just plain good. Add homemade cornbread and it was perfect. The salad was very good with unexpected cranberries in it. Why yes, I will have some more since you asked.. Seconds were just as good as firsts. Everyone seemed glad to see all their customers. Will do lunch there on our way back across Oklahoma.

I really wanted to like this place, and I hope they take my honest feedback and improve, because I think the place has true potential. My first complaint would have to be the service. No one there seemed happy to be there. Not at all. From the hostess to the waitress to the cashier. Well, maybe the cashier... she seemed cheerful, even towards closing. The décor is awesome. I loved the kitschy road signs and paraphernalia and such. I liked that there were basically three dining rooms! I was at the bar area, and the diner looked inviting. Things went downhill, though. The waitress, as I said, was lackluster at best. Seemed as though she was a conscript, not at all interested in me, the other customers, or our condition. Moreover, she messed up my order twice. I ordered the chicken bites for my entrée, but she didn't ask me how I wanted them prepared (I wanted fried instead of grilled), so they made them the wrong way. She also heard honey barbecue instead of buffalo for the dipping sauce. Not sure how that could have been mistaken. Anyway, she did replace both the chicken and the sauce, but made it sound like I had ordered them that way. I'm a little loopy sometimes, but I know what I ordered. Also, she initially stated that they were out to tater tots as a side. I needed a minute to decide on another side. She later came back and said they still had them, but that "They didn't know where to look for them." They who? Are you sure they didn't come off of another plate instead? Eeeewwwww..... I hope that isn't what happened. The hamburger vegetable soup was quite good, though, and seemed to be a classic road dish from yesteryear. The chicken bites, both grilled and fried, were both very tasty, actually. Hand-cut, hand-breaded, not those nasty all-breading balls of frozen chicken pieces that might be real chicken but are mostly breading surrounding them. No, these were good, quite tasty. Tater tots were too crispy, though... hence, my concern. Side salad was decent, nothing to rave about. I want to come back and try this place again, just in case it was an off night. It really seemed like a truly unique and fun place, and maybe I just hit a bad spot. The food was worth it, though, just be clear (enunciate) when you order. Especially if you get the same waitress I did.

Its alot nicer than I had expected, as it was advertised on I-40 in conjunction with a Phillips 66 truck stop, although its across a side street. Its a family oriented travel restaurant themed around Route 66. Lots of interesting memorabilia. Very clean and good food and service. A little steep for a "diner" but its more along the lines of Applebees or TGI Fridays instead. I had pork chop, mushrooms and sweet potato. I like how they put the sauces, butter and brown sugar in cups on the side. Everything was very good.

The place looks very cool, and the service is good. The food comes out pretty fast. The food is homemade and very delicious. All the vegetables are fresh. I recommend it if your looking for a good old country meal!

Stopped in for a late lunch based on other reviews. I got the chili and meatloaf lunch special. Both are all you can eat, but one portion is enough. I think all soup and lunch specials are all you can eat. Good food for a good price!

We loved Lucilles. We stopped while making a westward drive along Route 66 in Oklahoma. This was our chosen lunch spot and we chose well! The Decor was fun and it looked like a bigger version of the historic gas station. I had all you can eat pork chops for $7.99 and they were delicious. The Mrs has Chili and loved it. We would definitely go back for the food, service, and decor. Also a great pic stop with a little gift shop even if you are not hungry.

Wow this place is awful! Stay away!! The food is mediocre and the staff is off in their own world. I was asked 100 questions about my order seemingly to make sure I was going to get exactly what I wanted which at first made me quite happy. When I got my good not only was it cold but I did not get what I ordered. Upon asking to have my order corrected I was simply given my cold food back with the extra toppings that were left off just tossed on. I kind of felt like it was a bad idea to go since these places usually in my opinion suck boy was I right. I'd rather eat McDonald's than give these idiots my business ever again

Stopped in while traveling thru ... Food was good, had the ribs & the wife had the salmon, although she did not like the peppery style. Our waitress said she had worked there for 1.5 yrs & did not known the menu. Service was good & food was served hot & fast... It was a good stop......

We had a large group of people, and so I grade on a curve when I'm with such a large group. The service was as good as could be expected, and they were very accomodating to seat us in a side room to ourselves. The food however, was not very good. We tried the chicken wings and they tasted like something you'd make in the microwave at home. The place seemed clean, at least.

I ate here once with a friend and we shared the BBQ Platter. HORRIBLE. It all came out cold. Seriously?? YES! COLD! I never went back.

Cool restaurant if you like the history of route 66. The building was constructed to resemble the original Lucille's and has a retro 60's look. Food was good, tried the fried pickles which were good. Service was average and cost reasonable. Liked it more for the history and charm, but our family enjoyed the meal as well. The original Lucille's building still stands along the old 66 just several miles east of this restaurant.

Not a bad place. Not a favorite but not bad. Really nice staff. Just a place to eat while passing through.

I won't make a long review, just key points 1) Steak, whether chicken fried or beef, is the only good thing about the food. The restaurant is more novelty than it is a professional restaurant in my opinion. 2) The bar has TV's with NO SOUND. 3) Dessert is decent.

Lucille's is not the best restaurant in America, but it has one important distinction--if you're stuck in Weatherford, this is one of your best available choices. The building design and contents are inspired by Lucille Hamon's service station, 5 miles east on Route 66. She lived her life on Route 66 from the 1930's through 2000 and helped a lot of folks get on down the road in the Great Depression. There are two halves to the building. One is the 50's diner, the other is a dark lounge with tables and bar seating. The bar has a good assortment of draught beer for western Oklahoma (i.e. more than Bud and Coors). I wouldn't suggest ordering a mixed drink beyond the basics, but there is liquor. For food, the burgers are pretty good, especially with grilled onions. That's what made the place famous when it was in town and called "The Grill". I've had a few steaks and they don't mess them up too bad. Service is spotty no matter what time of day it is, but not horrid. 2013 Update: Removing 2 stars. We eat at Lucille's at least monthly. We like getting a decent beer and it's local. But for the last year, the service has gotten slower and slower. More than once, 2 burgers with fries have taken more than 30 minutes to arrive. The blame here is clearly the kitchen as there are plenty of waitresses floating about. So why keep coming back? If it weren't for the decent beer selection, we wouldn't. If you're passing through, wait an hour going east to get to OKC. If you're going west, try Jiggs BBQ in Clinton for lunch.

Very slow! But their servers were super friendly and the food wasn't bad. Had the blackened catfish. It was actually quite good.

For Weatherford, its pretty good. It can be a little pricey, but what isn't anymore. And I find it hard to write a review if you didn't even try the food! :S BUT, skip the cheaper flat iron and go for the 16oz, better quality by far. They also have great margaritas and all kinds of different beers on tap.

The worst place, order soup of the day which was simple canned chicken noodle. Came out cold, they didn't even attempt to put it the microwave to warm up. We came during breakfast and the waiter told us that they stop making breakfast. Yet as we sit there a table of 7 people were served hot breakfast. Never go here! You are better going to the nearest gas station for a sandwich. Kenneth is by far the worst waiter, he was unapologetic about the cold soup. Not mention there was food on table, seats and floors. If you are looking for delicious food, awesome service head to the mark instead

Sort of reminds you of a tourist trap, but the Chicken Fry Sandwich was very good. It was big with crunchy breading. The onion rings were tasty also. We had good service and the place was clean. I will go back.

Do not go here! While it has cool decor we had problems with sanitation. While waiting for our food we saw a server washing the table and the seat cushions of the booth. Next she took this dirty cloth and wiped off the salt and pepper shakers. Next, she opened the cap on the ketchup bottle, took the same dirty cloth and wiped the opening. This was not just one booth but on two!! Also, we were sitting where we could see the food prep. I had ordered a piece of chocolate cake and as my companion watched he saw a server take a piece of cake from the box with her hands, and put it on a plate. Next she brought it over to me. I said she could take it back and told her why. She acknowledged she did this and as she walked away, said 'so sorry'. She asked if I wanted something else but by that time I only wanted to leave. She told our server who also apologized and wanted to bring me something. I literally lost my appetite. Two servers with bad sanitation skills. When my companion was finished she came over said that she took the cake off the bill!! Like she was doing us a favor! If I could give this place minus 5 stars I would. At no time did a manager come over to speak to us. As I said: DO.NOT.EAT.HERE!

The food is good and the atmosphere brings you back to the old Route 66 and older days of diners. The girl at the front door was not so nice and kind of just plopped us down and walked away. Our waiter was friendly and helpful but once we got our drinks he kind of disappeared until the food came so we had to wait for a drink refill. We liked it and we liked the food but I would say don't expect a lot from the staff.

  • James C.

Not a bad place. Setup for tourist on RT 66, but good for locals too. Food is pretty good too. It is decorated like a diner from the late 1950's to go along with the hey of the "Mother Road"

    (4)
  • dan d.

Billed as a top Route 66 attraction, Lucille's was a more than just a little let down. It's just a diner with some Route 66 t-shirts and patches. I would have given two stars if the to-go peanut butter cup milkshake wasn't so damn good. We didn't stick around for the food but it looked like a standard throwback to the 1950's diner.
