My wife and I visited for our 6 month anniversary. We showed up around 9pm and it was really quiet, we were maybe one of 4 tables in the whole place. The staff were really quick to get us seated and take our order. The complimentary bread and olive oil was spot on, better than Olive Gardens. Our waiter Greg was quick and attentive. Food was fantastic and large portions.

First time visit and I was impressed and not so impressed. Had the Tai chicken pasta and it was great, the bread and oil with seasoning is good. But the whole thing that killed it for me was the so called bartender. Soft spoken is fine unless your a bartender. Leaving and not returning is unacceptable also. I will return and try a sit down but not the bar again.

First time I have ordered take out from this Zios! Portion was very small and the bread you could have broken a window with! All I can say is I learned my lesson. Won't do this again!

Not the best Italian I have eaten but it's ok for what it is. I have not eaten here in years. The last time I went with my husband and it was not good. The service was slow and it was just not the same zios I was used to. So after a hiatus I decided to grab a quick lunch with my husband and this was close. The food was ok. I had the chicken parmigiana and my husband had the chicken Alfredo. He said his meal was pretty good and it is difficult to mess up some as simple as chicken parmigiana. I'm sure it will be a while before we go back to zios because truly it was nothing to brag about. Plus for eating lunch there the service was slow to pay and leave.

The service is outstanding and staff is friendly, but the food is fast food chain quality -- a step below Olive Garden. It's not bad but it is nothing special. My angel hair pasta came to the table in under 10 minutes. No way it was boiled after I made my order. Soggy. Not al dente.

Food was good anise service specially at the bar. Portions re nice and big, with nice takes on italian classics. I sat at the bar and noticed that the wait staff was very young, which is not bad, but they really need to have more knowledge of their drinks and wines. They had to come ask the bartender frequently. My group provided some education...the funniest thing was one of the girls had no clue how to pronounce martini Rossi Asti spumante. That being said, food was good, great portions, and friendly service.

Zio's was okay as usual. Could of been better had the waiter been more prompt but all-in-all it was okay! Will go back not only for their "pizza bread" but for their wine as well! :)

Typical generic Italian food (ala Olive Garden). In other words, it's safe... Not many spices, nothing to adventurous. Was part of the Mazzio's family of restaruants till recently, when the brand was sold off. Mazzio's came right back and started a similar concept called Oliverto's

I have eaten here quite often in the last couple of weeks. The service is excellent here. The food is wonderful and portions are exceptionally large. I think i tried mostly everything on the menu. The seafood Alfredo is one of my favorite dishes as well as the free bread they give you. For the quality of service and the delicious food this place was well worth eating for the last 17 days in a row. lol.

Awesome food! I was visiting from San Antonio and was surprised to find a good Italian place. Me and my husband really enjoyed it. We had to look up and see if there were any branches in San Antonio and there are 3. We are definitely going back there again.

I have visited this place once a year for the past several years, and it's consistently consistent. The food is pretty good, and the service varies. The last two times I was here I had the Artichoke Spinach Pasta and it's bellisimo; tasty and very filling. This last visit I also added a Caesar Salad to my main course for $1.99. The portions there are large, so while it looked like I ate like an anorexic, I actually chowed down. Our server this past weekend was lacking. He did have a large table of us to deal with, but he would disappear for long intervals. The table next to us actually had about 10 more people than we did, and that server was much more mindful of her diners. Our waiter also left our bread at the table behind us, and never served it to us although the first round of bread had been devoured. One of my friends saw the bread after about 15 minutes, and served it to our table herself. She also found a station that had butter and sweet-n-low and distributed that as well. Those were also things our server neglected to bring to us. On our visit before this one, we had a great waitress, so I would say with Zio's, the service can be hit or miss. A downside to Zio's is that you will have a very long wait if you go on a Friday or Saturday night. Even if you make reservations for 9:00, you may still have to wait. Also, while we did have a party of about 13 people and large parties can be hard to manage, some people's food came out cold while other people's food came out hot. Overall, the food is good so we will probably return next time we venture to Tulsa. We just know to be prepared for possible spotty service.

Well I came for lunch...I had the chicken marsala. It sounded good but oddly sweet. My food came out room temp...BUT the restraunt was pretty. IF I go back Ill try the spaghetti with meat sauce because my friends loved it!

I worked here many, many years ago, when it first opened. As much as it has changed, a lot has stayed the same. Good food, large portions, reasonable prices. What more could you ask? For the last couple of visits, I've ordered the same thing: Spaghetti Feast (a man's meal consisting of chunks of Italian sausage, meatballs the size of a baby's fist, and their perfectly seasoned grilled chicken, all served over a bed of spaghetti with their delightful tomato sauce.) I have found that I can improve on perfection by substituting angel hair pasta and asking for half meat sauce and half Alfredo sauce, allowing me to have all of my favorites in one pasta bowl the size of a small satellite dish. For years I've enjoyed this particular concoction every time I've come in -- but this was to be the last. I don't know if it was the ownership change (which I learned about here on Yelp) or my maturing tastes, but the there was a distinct difference in the Alfredo sauce that tainted the entire dish. It seemed really plastic, and lacked that amazing fresh taste that I have grown to love about Zio's. I know they make everything in house, so I was surprised that anything would be less than stellar. Maybe the economy has gotten to them, too? Beyond that, everything was wonderful. Our server was appropriately attentive, and we all had a great time. I will still be coming back to Zio's whenever I'm in town, but my expectations are understandably lower now.

A great family restaurant. We were in from out of town and looking for a place to eat Italian food with my wife and 2 daughters. The food was great. The kids got to color on the paper table cloth. I had the shrimp marinara with angel hair pasta which had great marinara sauce. They also brought my 2 year old a free ice cream sundae for her birthday.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
