Love Coleman's pies. Love. Them. It's a tie between the Boston cream pie and coconut. Dammit, I guess I gotta get both...

The best local spot in Okmulgee! You cannot go wrong with this amazing family-owned business that brings it all back to basics - a REALLY good burger and homecooked pies! I always have to make a pit stop here when visiting grandma!

Nestled just off downtown Okmulgee, a small town a bit south of Tulsa, Coleman's Burgers and Bakery is the epitome of the sort of homey local diner I delight in discovering. It's a tiny place with a half dozen or so tables fronting vintage display counters in a corner storefront. The modest menu is hand lettered on a pair of wall mounted blackboards - several varieties of burgers, chicken fried steak and chicken dinner plates, and store baked desserts. There's also hand dipped onion rings and seasoned french fries. Like the burgers, they're served wrapped in a wax paper diaper on styrofoam plates. You can get'chu a Dr. Pepper or some other soda, but what you WANT is their sweet tea. That is, unless perhaps you're some sort of macroid vegan hipster foodie snob. (For that matter, if that's how you roll, all tatted up with skinny jeans and ironic plaid wearin' lumbersexual schtick on a bamboo framed bicycle, do everybody a favor and just keep going. Nobody wants your wrinkled nose millenial crap around here.) But if you want to step back in time... eat a real cheeseburger with onion rings that had dirt on 'em yesterday and get a big cookie or a slice of scratch baked pie for dessert, this is your kinda place. It's not too much of an imaginary stretch to visualize Andy Taylor and his sidekick Barney Fife dropping in for a lunch break after getting a haircut at Floyd's barbershop, and taking a to go order back to the jail for Otis Campbell on their way out. Come park nose in on a slow moving city street completely devoid of multinational corporate chain signage and have some All American comfort food. It's good for the soul.

A small place hid in downtown Okmulgee you would never believe they would have a hamburger that would be so incredible with grilled onions and the onion rings are off the hook great and they have giant peanut butter cookies

Stumbled on to this place by accident. Fantastic meal! I had the 1/4 lb. double meat cheeseburger. They roll the ground beef and slap it on the grill after I order it. Nothing frozen or pre-formed here. Home-made onion rings were great. Nothing frozen here either. Wish I had room for a slice of pie, but I don't know which I would have chosen - they all looked great! Family-owned business with some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I will be coming back here.

Good food and friendly local service. does NOT accept credit/debit cards, which I thought was amazing in this day and age. I liked the generally liked the experience, but my friend having to front me cash to pay was embaressing. I won't be back.

The absolutely best cheeseburgers and onion rings anywhere! The pies, cookies, and pastries are phenomenal. This family owned restaurant has a lot of tradition and history and they continue to hold this wonderful place at a very high standard. You MUST stop at Coleman's and try anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed.

I am a burger seeker and when I seen the sign off Highway 75, I had to try it out. The place was very cozy and the customer service was amazing. I ordered their larger cheeseburger with bacon, French fries, and sweet tea, my mom had the same but with onion rings. The burger was juicy and fresh. It was definitely enjoyable. Check it out.

Coleman's has such a wide variety of food, it was difficult to pick a category. It started out with burgers, but is also the best place to drop in and get a slice of WONDERFUL pie! They also have many freshly made items like quiches, stews and soups. In fact, I tried their potato soup today and it has to be the best I've ever tasted. They even have little oddities like spicy fried pickles or waffle fries if you are into that kind of thing. You will find a large assortment of cookies and snack foods made in the bakery on display. Try the oatmeal chocolate chip pecan cookie and you will not be sorry. If want to eat healthy, there is a nice herbed grilled chicken salad or a chicken salad salad that is quite tasty. Daily handmade specials all reasonably priced! If you want to eat inside do not go at noon. This is a very small place that depends on takeout orders, there are only three or four tables so do not count on getting a spot unless eating at an odd hour. T-F 10am to 5pm
