My wife and I stopped here with my teenage daughter and another mom and her daughter while we were visiting Lawton for a softball tournament. We each got pizza's to share and both of us thought they were very good. My daughter thought her hamburger was good. The waitress was very friendly, and the owner/manager came and visited a couple of times. Since my name is Mike, my wife thought it'd be fun to have a Mike's t-shirt with 'Staff' on the back - they said they didn't sell the staff t-shirts, but arranged to get us one anyway since we are from out of town. Sitting next to us eating was a squad of 5 from the Lawton police - I figure if the local police eat there it's a good recommendation. I also like the fact that it was not smokey - we were sitting right next to the smoking section - but it is in a glass closed off area. I'm very sensitive to smoke and didn't smell cigarette smoke at all. Lot's of TV's to watch whatever game you may want. Also lot's of beers on draft. We had a nice relaxing evening at Mike's after a hot day at the softball field. Con's - the frozen margarita I had had a lot of salt in the drink - my wife didn't have this issue. Pizza's and our chips & salsa appetizer were slow coming out - but we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter.

Decent bar and grille. Nothing too special. Watching the game and having a beer is quite easy and enjoyable at Mike's. However, the food is sub-par, even for pub grub and some it is overpriced.

I'm from Texas and my boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere that was non-smoking full of screens for football and this place was off the chart perfect! Bonus was the food was great!

Mikes has the coldest beer, least idiots, and best looking girls. A bonus is the food is awesome. They have lots of plasma tv's, two large projectors in the dining room, a projector on their awesome indoor/outdoor patio. They show almost all games and UFC fights. The food is awesome! Mikes is must try if you are in Lawton.

The must boring bar I've ever been to. Drinks are okay. Food was okay. Atmosphere is uptight and dead. Place needs to be put on life support. The cracker barrel across the street has more excitement going on.

As far as bars in Lawton go, this is your best choice. It's a classic sports bar with TVs everywhere. The bartenders are top notch, definitely my fondest memories involve me walking in and the bartender already making my drink when I sat down. It's not overly military as you might expect either.

So I have been going to Mike's for a pretty long time now ...about 6 years, and If it wasn't for Buffalo Wild Wings coming into town it might have still been my favorite Sports Bar in town. Mikes overall is not a bad place to drink some beer towers and watch your favorite games. The food is not that bad, and decently priced as is the beer. The smoking section is divided so as not to interfere with the other patrons, a very nice thing. And there is a nice game room as well. The downside to Mikes is ....If your not a OU fan (like my self) don't bother going to watch your favorite team play, all the speakers in the restaurant will be turned to that one game and you won't be able to hear anything else but that game. The main projection screen also is poorly position with mulitiple floor to ceiling pilars in the way blocking the view which can be very annoying, along with the beer towers and moving waitresses back and forth in the way Overall decent sports bar with a just a few minor set backs .....

Mike's Sports Grille has been the only full time sports oriented bar and restaurant in the Lawton area for a long time. After many years of business Mike's is going to be getting some competition from a new Buffalo Wild Wings location opening on Cache Road in June, 2007. The main restaurant seating area within Mike's is lined with television screens. There is one, large projection screen carrying the most popular sporting event being broadcast. Some of the monitors are used for trivia games. I would consider upping my three star rating for Mike's to four if at least a few of the television screens were upgraded to HDTV. Any good sports bar should have the capability to show HD quality events from channels like ESPN-HD and the major broadcast networks. Currently Mike's only shows programming in standard NTSC 480i format. HDTV can make a big difference, especially on a large projection screen in front of a crowd. Mike's Sports Grille doesn't carry many pay per view sporting events either. Don't plan a visit there around an upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship event. The food at Mike's is pretty good. The portions are large, even for their wide variety of sandwiches. The bar area is on a slightly elevated platform next to the main dining area. There's a good number of beers on tap and even more of the bottled variety. Several TV monitors line the bar area. The main projection screen in dining area is pretty easy to see from the bar. Mike's also has a separate gaming room with pools tables back away from the dining and bar area. Mike's Sports Grille is conveniently located near the Gore Blvd. exit of Interstate 44. It is next door to the Cracker Barrel restaurant. The sports bar is also near Comanche Nation Casino and three large hotels. Word of warning: If you're going to be drinking keep in mind the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop G station is nearby. Don't drink and drive.

Came here from a suggestion from our Front Desk hotel receptionist that we are staying at for an Army graduation. Typical sports bar. Nothing spectacular. The fried pickles were soooo good as were the potatoe skins. Stay away from the guac...well since Im from Cali I know real guac and that was not it. The prices were reasonable. I would definately come back for the fried pickles deliciousness and the dipping sauce buuuut seeing as i will NEVER come back to this extremely hot little and boring town that wont happen lol

Good food. Great atmosphere. Pool and darts are fun. The staff is a little rude and they always try to rush you out the door well bed rep closing time. Thy do have a good selection of beer though. Id recommend you check the place out for yourself.

I was in town for a business meeting and saw this place. Stopped in for lunch. The Santa Fe chicken sandwich was delicious. The service is lacking. But I would come back to try again when I'm in town.

Your common sports bar. The food is average. The service is okay. The beer selection (domestic and imported) is awesome and served very cold in frosty mugs. The location is great for those staying at the group of hotels next door. No driving which means no two beer limit. Give it a try. Has tons of TVs

Hands down one of the worst places to go in town. Sure, they received a face lift as of late, but the service and quality have gone downhill considerably. There is a large selection of draft beer, but the majority of the taps are empty or non-functioning. When you do get a beer, ice takes up a good majority of the glass. The service is awful. Waitresses are far from friendly and come by the minimal amount of times to give you a drink and food. The food is mediocre at best. There are far better places to go to watch the game and drink some beer with your friends.

This place gets an A-OK because they are: 1. Good for Groups 2. Correct your order if they mess it up I met my friend here for dinner with her party of 15+. Mikes is great because they will split the check for a large party. When we got our order one lady's medium rare steak came out well done and my greek salad was anything but greek. The salad I got said it had field greens in it but it was mainly iceberg lettuce. It was not a greek salad at all. There was only a few pieces of feta. Luckily they back the salad and made me a new one. I added a grilled chicken breast to my order and got the garlic vinaigrette dressing. This is a sports bar that has many flat screen tvs. It is family friendly and large group friendly. I will be back to try the pulled pork sandwich and have a beer. Thanks Mike for taking back my salad and making me one with majority field greens in it.

Amazing restaurant! Food is amazing and you get large portions. They recently remodeled inside and it is a great atmosphere with TONS of TVs. Best place in town

This was my first visit here. I ordered the cheesesteak (Lawtons favorite on the menu). It was an average cheesesteak with steakums meat nothing to write home about. The menu had typical stuff burgers, pasta, steak... A good variety of options. Our group was pretty big like 14 and we had 1 waitress even after calling ahead. It took a long time to get our food and an even longer time to get the checks. The atmosphere is "bar" like, somewhat dark and crowded. To give you an idea there is a hallway that separates the dining areas into two separate areas and in the hallway there is a game where you can win stuffed animals...... I'd be okay not eating at this place again maybe it is a place that has good beer but I don't drink beer so can't give a review of that aspect of the restaurant.

In town for an Army bootcamp graduation and the hotel receptionist suggested Mike's. I would give this place 3.5 stars. It's a typical sports bar and grill. The fried pickles and potato skins were amazing! The baby back ribs were ok, as was the chicken fried steak and gravy. The burger was good but stay away from the guacamole. Being from California I know good guacamole and that wasn't it. And the pulled pork was good. Didn't care for the homemade chips. I would definitely return but seeing how I NEVER plan on visiting Lawton again, it won't happen.

Good food, but would be nice if fries were included with sandwiches and burgers instead of just chips. Had to pay an extra 1.79 for fries. Salads were good.

Food- I take my family here regularly for the wide variety of food. My kids are usually picky eaters but they have never left food on their plates at Mike's. The prices are very competitive with the other restaurants in the area. Beer- They always have a new beer I have to try on their large draft beer wall. PLUS they are the only bar in town that I have seen with a glass conditioner. I am not sure how there was ice in the earlier review, I have never had any in mine. The glass conditioner rinses out all of the frost from inside the chilled mug. My only complaint is the amount of taps(5 taps if I am not mistaken) being used for domestic beers you can get at the gas station! :)

I've been here several times for only God knows why people keep wanting to meet up here for food??? Food is just gross, disgusting, and everything taste fresh out the freezer or can. Yummy?? No disgusting only thing good here are the beers but hey have your wallet ready cuz their expensive as the cheap food they prepare for YOU. Not only do they have the nerve to advertise a freaking sports bar and grill but they close earlier than any sports bar and grill I've ever been to...how and where do they do that at? Buffalo freaking wild wings are open until midnight during the week and 1am during the weekend so Mike's closes by 10pm and 11pm?? Ridiculous I mean damn serve the beers as expensive as they may be and stay the freak open later like umm 2am sheesh. They also don't order boxing but they have the UFC fights?? Anyway just maybe they should change their name to Mike's and Nana's restaurant.

Ate at the bar. Great service. Tara was informative about the large selection of tap and bottled beers. Had the chips and salsa as a starters then the small 7" New York pizza. Something in the sauce gave it a funny taste, to my taste buds, but the crust was crunchy and overall a good pizza. NFL on the TV. Closed kinda early but whatever.

The atmosphere is great, but the food was lacking...we ordered the pepperoni pizza but it tasted worse than a frozen pizza. They tried to tell us that it was a brick oven pizza, but there was no way. The servuce was also lacking as it took 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. Stay away from the pizzas! Order the cheese fries.

Eat here most nights while I was on travel. For a sports bar they have a big menu. They have 50 beers on tap. The food is good. A friendly wait staff. And lots and lots of sports channels.

While mikes has the size to accommodate a larger crowd, I must admit to being very disappointed with them in most ways. I don't think that they are a bad place, but Mikes is not on my list of places to go.

We were tired from traveling all day and wanted a comfortable place to relax and eat. We tried several other places and they were closed, 8:30 pm. We stopped in and had a great meal, onion rings, wild grains and roasted veggies, Reuben sandwich with the house chips. All was very good especially the Reuben the sauerkraut with the mustard was outstanding We might go back there tonight. Nice relaxing environment not to noisy. Typical sports bar lots of screens to keep the boys happy!

I would love to be able to write a true and accurate review, but I was turned away 30 minutes prior to closing. I understand that employees are cleaning and everyone wants to go home at quitting time, but turned away, really...? I just hate it when businesses do that.

Food is good. Nice place. Service is beyond slow. Only area they are lacking. I would only recommend if you are not in a hurry. Waited 20 minutes to get a drink.

Went in and order a shot of Jack and a draft, the shot was 1.25 of a oz. I thought shots were 2oz's. Oh well. I order a steak Pittsburgh rare the waitress came back 20 min later and told me the cook could not do it. Oh well. I gave up and ordered a beef patty fried. She brings me my salad and I decide I do not want the beef patty, she gets all pissy and mad. Oh Well. At this point she knew she was not getting a tip and she just disappeared. Finally got the att. of another waitress and got my check, I told the girl what I thought, Oh Well, On the bright side my partner order a small turkey croissant for $8.29 and he said it was good, but he never got a second glass of sweet tea. And all this took us 2.5 hours. Oh Well. Total bill was $23.25, 25oz miller = 4.50, Jack D = 5.50, Sweet tea 2.09, Smk Turkey Croissant 8.29, Fries 1.79, tax 1.08.

First experience at this place and it was awful...waitress barely came to our table and then we were charged $15 (prices are no where on the menu) for a 12 oz beer that we took one sip out and it was nasty and were told they'd comp half because we didnt tell the waitress we didnt like it...woulda helped if she had ever came to our table...not to mention after they wouldnt do anything but take 50% off this nasty beer the manager hid in his office and wouldnt come out and talk to us..had the bartender "deal with us"..followed by getting harassed by the male workers while we were leaving...WONT BE GOING BACK

I have been to Mike's many times since high school and the food has been great and I usually go there to watch the UFC fights. We went the other night to watch the Superbowl. It was the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in Lawton ever. I ordered a drink and my boyfriend ordered a pitcher of beer and we ordered some wings to start with. Usually it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get our order. We tried to be patient but after waiting for approximately 50 minutes we asked why we had not received our wings yet. The waitress was surprised and went to find out and we asked to speak to the manager when she did not return. Meanwhile, our wings did arrive but we waited to see what the manager said. About ten minutes later a young man came out and asked in my face what the problem was. He did not introduce himself and did not appreciate us asking what was taking so long. I had long since finished my drink and my boyfriend had drank two glasses from the pitcher and the manager basically accused us of lying and said "you have been waiting that long and that is all you drank?" He continued to say, "well there are 300 people in here and you are nobody special. If you don't like it then you can leave." I asked him if that is how he spoke to all of his customers and he demanded that we leave and then tried to get us to pay for the wings that we had not even touched. As long as that guy is managing the place we will not go back. I will stick with Buffalo Wild Wings.

This place has been in Lawton since 1989. I was happy to find another locally owned place for lunch. Mike's is huge and has lots of tables. It wasn't crowded for lunch. Our waitress was great - super nice and quick to check on us. This is definitely a sports bar - I think there are at least 25 tvs all around the restaurant.

GREAT food....when you can get service. I come often when in town and the staff is friendly, but service on the whole is absolutely horrible. In fact, I was just in there, sat down and waited 15 minutes...and no one came to the table. I walked across the street to Cracker Barrel. What a shame they can't get their act together.

I decided to return to Mike's (after had not eaten there in awhile) to check out the newly renovated bar area. When I asked the bartender which he preferred between the Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale or The Sam Adams Oktoberfest, he stated "Idk, I've never tried either." Ok. So time passes and as my second beer I ask for a Coop Horny Toad. The bartender is searching up and down in the cooler for the beer. He even had to ask me what it looked like. It sad to see all these new craft beers and for the bartenders to not know their product.

Good place. Great pulled pork and in my group, the portions on every meal were pretty substantial. Not to pricey either. Plenty of TV's up for every sport imaginable. Nice place for a casual meal.
