Wednesday night at 9:00 and they Got us right in! The three of us split a Bone in Strip cooked perfect Med -1, and a Sea Bass..I've had better but it was very good! 5 stars on price but it keeps the riffraff out!! Bottle of wine was reasonable! Service is good and I prefer the elevated booths over a table. View is nice but just not much to see south of Catoosa!! lol

There are a few good things about this restaurant. The food is delicious and it's a pretty restaurant. We went on a Wednesday night after a concert (shortly before closing) and everyone was friendly and seated us right away. Problems: 1. I don't mind paying for good food, but this is still a bit over priced. 2. While the waitress was friendly, I believe she purposely "left out details" to inflate the check, which in turn, would inflate her tip. She did this, not once, but twice. When I brought it to her attention she blew me off. Example #1: I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigo. I pointed at the menu, when I ordered it. She brought me a different glass of wine that was twice as much, but didn't tell me. I only found out when I got the bill. Example #2: I ordered a filet. Now there are at LEAST two different filets on the menu. I specified (and pointed once again) to the smallest filet, because I'm watching my portion sizes. She clarified, "the petite filet?", it said "light" on the menu, but I figured, that was just another way to say it so I said "yes". Turns out, there must be three filets on the menu (one being invisible), because I got charged double the amount for the "petite" filet. When I asked her about it, she said that was the one I ordered. Bottom Line: The food was good, but I don't appreciate the "assumptive close" used by the staff. It's not good business to trick your customers into paying more than they intend. I would not go back here and would not recommend. I always tip at least 20%, even when the service is marginal because I've been a server before, but this waitress did not deserve it. Hope she used her 10% tip to buy a conscience.

Tried this place on the advice of friends for my 15th anniversary. When making reservations I mentioned that this was an anniversary dinner and was willing to be flexible with time for a nice table, they said this would be no problem. We showed up 10 minutes early and waited about 20 minutes past reservation time. This was just fine as the staff made us aware as soon as we checked in that several tables had gone long and there might be a wait. When seated, we given a not so hot table with a marvelous view of the kitchen door and all the traffic that goes with it. When I mentioned this to the waiter and asked if this was what you got when requesting a "nice" table, he said that the table they were waiting to give us was going really long so they tried to get us in the first available. Again, good communication from the staff kept us from being frustrated. They moved us as soon as possible to a really nice, quiet table along the back of the room with an awesome view. Food was great, if you don't try the lobster macaroni and cheese you have only yourself to blame as it was wonderful. Salad was a real caesar and my wife and I shared the Kobe ribeye for two.. delightful. The restaurant was well staffed so that the waitpersons where not too strung out, leaving them time to give attentive and exceptional service. Thanks for the great anniversary!

5-stars yet again! Since my last review, they've 86'd the unbelievably delicious pasta printemps, leaving zilch for the vegetarians (not counting salads) on the menu, so when booking a reservation online, I added a comment that a vegetarian would also be dining and requesting a vegetarian pasta. Our party of 4 were promptly seated at our reserved time and I was pleasantly surprised when our server mentioned that he understood a vegetarian was dining and that the kitchen would be taking good care of them. Yay! I wasn't sure they even read the comments on reservations. The group ended up ordering a bottle of cab, the red bell pepper "fondue" (actually a dip), 2 prime rib entrees, a scallop entree, and I received a vegetable-laden penne pasta with cream sauce. Everyone was super pleased with their meals. Service, as usual, was spot-on. Simply a lovely choice for an upscale dinner. Remember: if you're a vegetarian, or a vegetarian will be dining with you, just make sure to mention it when you make reservations, and you'll/they'll end up with a wonderful meal too!

Factual corrections made on Aug 3, 2015 Great view from up there especially if you sit by the window. But even if not this place itself looks pretty good too. Modern, simplistic. Their service as least as we experienced it was excellent. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. She was nice and patient enough to answer our questions and doubts and also to try to find solutions to our requests, not every one of which was absolutely reasonable, I must admit. I also liked the way she did not "over-serve", which, ironically was responded with me "over-tipping" her. Now comes the hard part of this review -- the food. I must say I was not particularly impressed. I am not saying they don't have good food. For one thing we really liked the Caesar salad, and I believe that most of the time you can tell a lot about a restaurant from its Caesar salad. My disappointment, however, started with their seafood platter. Great presentation, no doubt. Generous offering too. But in the future I would probably not pay 59 dollars for a dish of seafood that was not even so fresh, which was exactly the situation we were in. For the main course we ordered prime steaks with grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes. Good meat. On our way back to the casino we heard two gentlemen complaining about McGrill's limited choices of food at the bar. Since we don't drink it was not a problem for us at all. But I thought I would point it out.

McGills is my favorite place in the Tulsa area for fine dining. They do it right here from the view to the food. You take the exclusive express elevator straight up to the 19th floor, and you become immediately transported to a swanky, fine dining environment. The view from the dinner tables is breathtaking, especially if you go around sunset. The hostess was very kind and quick to greet us. Once seated the wait staff immediately comes over to start pampering you. You can order your drinks while you enjoy the "Chef's Welcome", a small bite of food. Tonight it was deep fried avacado with a jalapeño sauce. Delicious with a nice crunch and flavor. We ordered the crab cake for an appetizer, and wow! This crab cake is big, perfect for sharing. It's packed with flavor and is made up mostly of jumbo crab meat, no filler! They also provide you with a delicious assortment of bread to munch on while you await your salad or entree. I enjoyed a fresh and flavorful Caesar salad that comes with a Parmesan good for scooping lettuce. Now, onto the entree! "It's all about the Bass, 'bout the Bass..." No, not that bass, I'm talking about the Chilean Sea Bass! This is the best piece of fish I have ever eaten in Tulsa, period, and I've eaten at Bodean's and White River Fish Market. The chef told us the fish was literally swimming in the sea on Sunday, and we, in a land locked state, we're eating this wild caught fish on Thursday. It was cooked perfectly, so flavorful with a beautifully seared outside. The steaks here are amazing as well, you can't go wrong there. Okay, so basically you can't go wrong no matter what you order. Nothing is ever frozen here. Only fresh ingredients daily. The only problem...not having enough storage in your stomach to try it all. Go here, dine, enjoy!

We came in as a party of 3 at about 7:30PM. We were seated immediately at a table next to the window. The view is nice, it was great to watch the sunset. Our waitress was very good, she was friendly and around enough to be there when we needed something, but didn't stifle us. Portions were very large. We ordered an appetizer to share, then each had a salad and entree. None of us finished our food. The food was good but not spectacular. For the high price I would have rather had "quality over quantity".

I'm so sad to leave such a poor review. Its amazing how much a restaurant can change in a couple of years. This used to be one of our favorite dining spots while on our yearly visit to Tulsa for the Chili Bowl. We have stayed at the Hard Rock/Cherokee Casino for years now and even dined at McGill's when it was downstairs. Last Thursday night we had a 9pm reservation and the evening first started off with a martini at the bar where we ran into an old friend and chatting it up for about 20min. We sat down at our table at 9:20pm where we were told by our server we would have to order everything we wanted "RIGHT NOW" since the chef will be going home at 10pm? What? Okay, I'm not the type of person who comes into a restaurant at 9:55pm when a restaurant posts they close at 10pm, however if you say you close at 10pm it means you "close" and quit serving at 10pm, not clean up an hour before so you can can have your happy ass out the door BEFORE 10pm. Needless to say we were surprised, but followed our servers rules and ordered right away. We started off with the Seafood Tower which looked good on the menu and the presentation was lovely, however everything tasted like it just came out of a freezer and was partially frozen and including the not freshly shucked oysters - they were rubber oysters without any oyster liquid in shells. The four of us were afraid to even try one and hello at $39 for the appetizer you would hope for not frozen out the freezer taste. Next we had our salads, they were good however after 4 bites they were rushing the entrees...again WTF?! At this point I'm wishing we never brought our friends here. In addition we had ordered two bottles of Silver Oak. Our entrees consisted of two filets (mediocre at best), a duck dish and mine was the sea bass that was drowning in butter and tasted nasty. In the end they where already turning off the lights and we asked to order an after dinner cocktail, however the bartender was no where to be found and dessert was never offered. We dropped $600+ and we were outta there by 10:35pm. Talking about getting screwed and sent out the door! We will never dine there again. Oh and I failed to mention we were guests of the hotel in a hard rock suite for 5 days. Ouch that "royal screwing" is hurting even more now". McGills you McSuck!!!!!!!!

Another update! My dad and his girlfriend came into town tonight from Texas, and they had my grandma from Florida with them - I was completely surprised! My dad texted my brother (still works at McGill's) and asked if we could get a table tonight after 9. Got there and waited a bit for a table to come available - they were packed so that was understandable. Great server this time! Drinks stayed filled and he put up with our antics. Amazing lemon sorbet palate cleanser and delicious bread basket! I ordered the sea bass (again) and so did my dad's girlfriend and my grandma. They loved it, it was cooked perfectly! My dad ordered a filet (cooked Pittsburg with bernaise sauce and oscar style - he just had to be complicated) and he said it was cooked perfectly and exactly what he wanted. He ordered scalloped potatoes as his side, and they were pretty amazing. Smoked Gouda and jack cheese (?) make up this masterpiece. Glad he got some so everyone could sample them. Everyone was super happy with their meal. This place keeps getting better with every visit.

Brave the casino and spend your hard earned cash on a Wagyu ribeye for two instead of giving it away in a slot machine. Fantastic food and service with a great view of the south. Call ahead days in advance or their might not be a seat if ZZ Top or the like is playing down stairs.

Service was slow, it took forever for our food to get to our table. My husbands steak was chewy and not that appetizing, which is a disappointment considering you are spending almost $50 a plate. Overall not that impressed.

This place is ok but at 50 bucks a plate with mediocre service extremely overpriced for the quality of the food you receive. I would definitely not return, there are better places to eat in Tulsa.

Just had dinner here since we are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. The wait staff was very pleasant and efficient. I have to say the food was mediocre at best. Lobster Mac and cheese was $12 and tasteless. The wedge salad had Roquefort dressing that was tasteless. My husband ordered the Steak Diane and there was so much Worcestershire sauce that it was almost inedible. I had the sea bass special with risotto. It was okay but nothing spectacular. Overall the meal was very disappointing.

Beautiful restaurant. I've been here twice, live in Dallas and this restaurant is on par with an upscale steak house. I've shared the Kobe 32oz steak for two, both visits and it's is delicious! Food presentation is great, great flavor, and it's not a la cart which is a bonus. If its a special occasion let your server know and you get a great desert. Also if you are a wine enthusiast, try their wine flights. Its a nice way to try several wines in the evening.

French Onion Soup was great. 8oz filet was equal to a steak from Sam's. Ok but not worth the money. The lemon sorbet for pallet cleanser before entree and hot towel to wipe hands was a nice touch. If I went back, I would go with a chicken or fish dish. Nice atmosphere and view from 19th Floor.

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. Our waiter got the appetizer out, then vanished. When he finally brought our "medium" steak, it was somewhere between raw and rare. He never came back to check on us until it was too late to take it back as he offered. The manager came over, but never offered to make an adjustment of the bill, although not one bite of the steak was eaten. I would never go back to this place.
