I Love Lovely's! Everything is made just like you would make it in your kitchen. They've never served a bad meal. Staff is friendly. Fried chicken tastes just like grandma's. Several homemade sides to choose. And the fudge, OH the fudge!!! Delicious! Fruits, veggies, jams, candies, fudge, dinner, desert... It is a homemade delight. They also have a small deli with Boar's Head meats and cheeses. Odd thing to be stuck in this store, but hey, it's there take it or leave it :). They close early :-( I think 5pm, so get there before the end of work day.

After recently moving to the area Lovely's quickly became a family favorite. My daughter and I have enjoyed lunching, shopping for produce, sampling many different types of fudge and all of candy we could handle! The staff are very polite and accommodating and given the environment I thought this would be the perfect place to treat my 83 year old grandmother and her friend for lunch. I was disappointed to learn that the woman behind the counter who treated my grandmother so rudely was the owner. I'll have to apologize that her hearing isn't the greatest so you often have to repeat yourself and she was a bit confused by the ordering process (only one sandwich per piece of paper!), but there was no need to treat her as such an inconvenience. What type of clientele would a small country store expect? It was like meeting you favorite celebrity only to learn that they're a jerk. What a let down.

First of all do NOT follow the Yelp directions! Lovely's is NOT in Franklin, it is in Springboro. It is east of I-75!! This place is cool. Old fashioned candies, $2 for 6/7oz. Fresh produce, got some haven't tried it yet. But the fried chicken and mac and cheese were mmm mmmm good. Ditto for the apple pie. I will be back for more fried chicken and hopefully to try something else as well.

Lovely's is worth the drive for amazingly fresh produce and home-made preserves and old fashioned candies. We stopped in to sample the farmer's market's lemonade, which we had heard was second to none. Half of Lovely's is a restaurant that features fried chicken, which smelled buttery and yummy. We got our lemonade in glasses to go and then checked out the selection of produce and preserves. I picked up a few tomatoes (salmonella free, the worker assured me) and my mom grabbed a can of fresh pickled watermelon rind for my dad for Father's Day (he likes the stuff, who knew?). We checked out the candy but we'd just indulged in ice-cream so we said "no" to the bags of old-fashioned sweets. I really want to go back to try the fried chicken!

Unfortunately, most people think they are getting "homemade" goods, when in fact they are "home put in pretty containers." The pies are frozen, half of the sides come from GFS or Sams. The lemonade is half country time lemonade. I used to come here growing up for the candies and truly homemade fudge, but the RUDE owner price gouges her customers now. For a while, no one was allowed to buy the boar's head lunch meat by the pound because they needed it for sandwiches. I have been in there before where there was a line for lunch meat! Not sure what kind of good business strategy that is! The owner treats the staff and customers like garbage-unless they flatter her. She is short tempered and rude. I've seen the girls that work there run all over that market while she stands in one place and just barks orders at them. She seems paranoid that someone is going to get a good deal out of her. Yes, the chicken is very good...but I don't want to give my money to a person who treats others like garbage, especially in a "down home" small business.

The food is here is good and the price is average. The fried chicken is wonderful. You get small plates of food that you order and then they arrange it on a tray. Then you wait and they tell you when it's ready.

This is a quaint little roadside stand on steroids. They have a small selection of produce, didn't see much local other than onions. I ordered some pie and some salads and cheese spread. Unfortunately, I just can't bring myself to finish any of it. They offer country style food like mac and cheese, fried chicken, potato wedges, coleslaw etc. They also had fudge. It's a cute place but not somewhere I will frequent. I admire their courage to compete in the food business but there is just not enough to bring me back.

WOW and not in a good way. We recently relocated to the area so we ventured out to stop in at some local places. We decided to stop at Lovely's to see what they had and grab a bite. It pains me to give this place 1 star because the place was nice. We got some produce and fudge, all the kids working there were friendly, polite and had smiles on there faces. Not something we're used to where we're from. We decided on what to get and placed our order with a nice girl who looked like it was her first day but she did a great job taking our order and was friendly. We asked to see if we could sub a salad on our order and we even offered to pay an increase. This is where the experience went south. She asked the old blonde haired woman running the place and barking out orders about our substitution she replied in a rude way no substitutions. We politely changed our order to get what we wanted costing us more and getting less. The old gal then proceeded instructing the girl handling our order that substitutions were not allowed in a loud and rude way, while I was bothered by the level of rudeness I also felt bad for the girl having to work with someone like her. Based on the woman's advanced age it may be time for her to retire. She clearly doesn't have the patients to work in a service industry environment. Since we have been here we have found everyone to be friendly and nice it was shocking to see someone like this. We won't be going back nor recommending the place. If this post keeps one person from going and having our experience, the time in writing this will have been worth it.
