My all-time favorite pizza!! I grew up eating Kraus' and I love it! My brother lives in Chicago "known for their pizza" When he's here to visit he always has to order a half-baked pizza to bring home to Chicago! Or he has my parents bring him a half-baked one when they go to visit him! Pops it in the oven and he's good to go!

The meatball sub comes in either 6 inch or foot long. I always go for the foot long with a couple orders of wedges! The sub is amazing! Probably the best I have had. The wedges, or as I call them joe-joes, are the reason I love Kraus Pizza. Crispy pressure fried goodness!

I wish Columbus had pizza half as good as Kraus.

Kraus' is just not my thing. I grew up in Stark county, and Kraus' is one of my least favorite pizza options around. My two biggest complaints are: I hate the way their pepperoni curls up into little cups of grease, and I really dislike the taste of their crust. It's way too buttery, almost like thick pie crust. That being said, it's not like it's inedible or anything. I had pretty much forgotten about this place until I recently had some at a relative's house. I will say that they do really load on the toppings. I have never seen a pizza with so many toppings. Now that is a feature I can love. I can't comment on their price or service since I didn't do the ordering or pay.

I love, love, love their pizza! My partner is not a fan but that doesn't stop me from getting it. Their pepperoni and seasoning on the pizza is the best and I will keep going back for more!

I simply adore this pizza shop. Everyone is awesome. Oh and the topper is to die for. They also have good subs. I just wish they offered calzones.

Love the double crust pizza. Best pizza in Stark County. I just had to say no one in Massillon calls green peppers mangoes. That's crazy! Don't give people in Massillon a bad name. I loved going to this location when I was young. Mr. Kraus used to give us kids pennies to get gum from the gumball machine. The smell in the store was divine, but it was hot as hell! Don't know how the workers could stand it!

I live in Columbus, but my in-laws live right down the street from Kraus', and I know that everytime we are in Canton to see them, at some point we are going to have to order pizza and wings from Kraus'. I mean weeks before I know we're headed up, I get insatiable cravings for the pizza and wings and their blue cheese. I don't know what it is, but I'm attributing it to just being really, really good pizza and wings. Columbus is basically a midwest mecca for pizza lovers, but most the time I'm craving Kraus'

Kraus' is not only a Stark county staple, but an original American icon. Experience the best pizza in all of Ohio and see why it's the locals favorite for over 50 years!

Still my favorite pizza EVER! I crave double crust and miss this pizza all the time! If only they could open a restaurant here in Tucson!

Kraus' pizza is by far the best pizza not only in Stark County but in my opinion on the planet. I have been to other cities, states, and countries and have yet to find a better pizza. The only pizza better than Kraus' on Amherst...is the one on Lincoln Way on the West Side of Massillon. If I had one meal left on earth it would Be a large pepperoni, ham, and mushroom with double crust from Kraus' Pizza.

I'll admit that I've been spoiled by the great pizza I can find in Chicago, but I have fond memories of Kraus'. There are a few things I look for in a pizza place: 1. Price. Pizza is easy to make, lots of people do it, and if your pizza costs too much, I'll go somewhere else. How does Kraus' do in that assessment? Pretty well: I feel like what I paid for it is worth the value I got in return. 2. Taste. Kraus' does some pizzas better than others. The basic pepperoni and cheese, for example, is the pinnacle of deliciousness, whereas their deep dish equivalent (stuffed, I think) is just a step above mediocre: you'll probably like it, but don't count on having a life-changing experience because of it. 3. Charm. What holds true for me is that pizza from a store with character just tastes better. I can't recount all of my experiences with the likes of Papa John's and Pizza Hut; however, I remember every experience I've had with Kraus'. That's a true testament to Kraus' character; it MAKES you remember it. Kraus' does have its weaknesses, however, which is why it gets four stars: it's not open as late as some of the other places in Massillon, and some of the employees I've encountered there are extremely rude and bitchy. Not always, but enough for me to say that the service can be a bit spotty.

This place is so nostalgic to me. We ordered from here every Wednesday night when I was young. I swear, they make the best pizza. It's all about the zesty sauce and provolone cheese. There is something about their oven at this location--it tastes better. And we have tried almost every other location in Massillon/Canton and it doesn't taste as good as this place. Part of the experience of picking up a pizza at Kraus' is opening their decrepit screen door and standing inside waiting for your pizza and sweating your ass off because it's 1,000 degrees in there from the ovens. Then they cut it into pieces in front of you, toss it into the box, and ring it up on their 1940s cash register. To this day, I can still rattle off their phone number. Call me Rain Man, but that should tell you how many times we ordered from this place! I miss seeing Mr. Kraus working the pizza oven. I don't make a trip home without ordering from the Amherst Kraus'. Don't let anyone tell you the other locations are "the same" because they're not. The *ONLY* complaint I have about this place is the "small" pizza used to be bigger. Now it's shrunk in size. The "old small" is now a "large" and costs $4 more. Sigh. The "small" is 6 very small slices. Upgrade to the large (8 slices) and make your tummy happy!

Simply the best pizza I've ever had. The Jo Jo's are outstanding as well. Try your pizza double crust too... It's unique and very filling. I tend to order extra sauce when I go double crust. kraus' has been around a long time and they know how to make a great pizza.

Being new to Massillon, Kraus' was new to me, but it is now our go-to pizza source. Yes, it is that good. Get the double crust ( aka "topper") to understand how awesome their pizza can be. A pizza with another crust, cheese and awesome on it really is about as good as it can get. Hot, tasty and awesome are the words of the day when it comes to Kraus'!

I just moved to massillon and I'm telling you there pizza crust cheese and sauce is the best

LOVE LOVE LOVE their pizza. I can't get enough. Have to go order at least once a week. My cat also loves their chicken. She is on my like a kid to cake as soon as I walk in the door with the box. While not a new concept, Kraus "topper" is about as good as it gets. They have great flavors of wings as well! The family special is great for a couple or small family for a weekend treat and will likely leave you a few leftover pieces for 4th meal! Coupons are always available on Gold Clipper website.

Kraus Amherst is absolutely my favorite pizza shop. Their top crust Pizza is awesome! My favorite pizza is sausage, mushroom, green pepper, banana pepper and anchovies. Their broasted chicken is really, really good, too. Moist, delicious, full of flavor. I'd give them 5 stars if they delivered!

Like reviewer Jen M. wrote, this was a weekly meal in my family home growing up. Every Friday, we split a sausage pizza with kettle cooked potato chips and drank Pepsi from glass bottles. As I grew older, I added more traditional pizza toppings-pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and "mangoes". (For some reason, Massillonians refer to green peppers as "mangoes." It wasn't until I was married and on my honeymoon in Mexico that I learned what a real mango was.) I just had Kraus' for the first time in several years. The pizza box touts Mama Kraus...I don't know who Mama Kraus is; Larry Kraus was always the face of Kraus' growing up and Amherst was the location closest to our house. My sisters and I believed that the secret ingredient in the pizza was Mr. Kraus' sweat. That's why Amherst was the best. I still get a Kraus' pizza every time I'm in Massillon. Given the choice, I'd probably pick a deep dish Chicago pizza from Giordano's over Kraus' these days, but it's still a decent pie. I love that it tastes almost exactly the same as it did 30+ years ago. My kids are fond of the double crust, but I always order the same old same old. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but it's one of the best pizzas I've ever had.
