Friendly service - fresh, consistent food! I have enjoyed this place for many years. If you want New Mexico spicy green chili, order the Chili Verde con Carne!

This was the first restaurant we went to when we PCS'd here to Cannon. We went there with our two toddlers and very much enjoyed it. The food was good and we were served quickly. Our kids weren't being very good that evening but the waiter was AMAZING. He was very friendly and on top of that he gave both of my toddlers desert on the house.

Stopped here on a long cross-country road trip. Very tasty salsa (and we are from Texas and very picky). Cheese enchiladas and shrimp enchiladas were delicious. Corn tortillas on the side were thick and tasty. Service was kind and attentive. Helped us with fast checkout since we were anxious to get back on the road.

Best Mexican Food I have ever had! I have eaten here for over 16 years. They treat you like family and the food is priced right. But best of all the food is fantastic. My friend told me years ago that Juanito's was like his mom's home cooking that sold me. We always take our friends and family here when ever they come to visit.

Possibly the friendliest place I've ever been. Also one of the best Mexican food places in the state of New Mexico. Food is top notch and prices are great. Thank you to any of the great staff they have at this wonderful place. I look forward to our next visit. Get the sopapilla, you won't be disappointed.

The service was great, friendly and right on time. The salsa was fantastic and the food was fantastic. The red sauce had a great chili flavor. Fresh everything. Cost was very reasonable.

The food was very mediocre. Everything seemed to be from a box or can. This is very much an Americanized Mexican food that isn't worth the stop. We were traveling through and stopped to grab a bite. However, I wish we would have waited for something else.

Combo plate is my favorite. The salsa is homemade and the chips are fresh. The meat is a little bland, but the toppings and sauce make up the difference. The service is always good and the staff is friendly. Parking can be a chore at lunchtime, because it's so popular.

Service is the best thing about this restaurant. Otherwise you are left with overly large portions of food that doesn't come close to the average Mexican food avaliable in clovis. I grew up eating Rio grande style Mexican food at Chopes in La Mesa NM. So I have slightly different tastes, but I still enjoy Mexican food in this region. Juanitos is bland, flavorless with highly fatty untrimmed meat. Red sauce here tastes like canned, green sauce slightly better but still lacking flavor. I will never return.

4 stars for the salsa alone. The food wasn't great and the service was so, but as long as the salsa and chips kept coming I was happy. If this stuff was canned I would bought a case. Seriously, best salsa I've had in a long time. And I eat a lot of salsa. They call me the salsa monster...

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
