I love Dion's. The pizza is good, the sandwiches and salads are great, and the ranch dressing is like crack. Try the Duke City Pizza for something different (turkey, cheddar and green chile--yum!). I love their pizza but I find myself ordering the Turkey and Swiss Sub with Greek Dressing drizzled all over it almost every time. You can't lose at Dion's!

After leaving the previous review, I was contacted by Dion's. They went out of their way to apologize for the mishap and to try to get us back in the door. I have to say, just the attention paid by Dion's makes it worth giving this location another try. As previously mentioned, we have been going to this location for years with few problems, so I have to think it was a fluke that no one was working the drive-thru. I'm still craving that sandwich, so I guess I'll find out!

I come here often enough, I get the crunchy spinach salad, which I was unsure of originally because it sounded kind of weird, but it's so unique and delicious. It's not my favorite I'm glad they have a variety of salads because most restaurants overlook their salad options and salad can be kind f boring sometimes. I've never had a bad experience because the employees are always nice and courteous to me. When someone is nice to the point of me thinking "wow that person is really nice!" then I know Dions is definitely doing something right. And they are delicious :)

I am OBSESSED with the Gourmet Chicken Salad at Dion's. I am now eating it about 2-3 times a week. I don't like to eat inside (it's really loud) but is quick and easy for takeout service. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I always feel rushed at the front counter; but hey, they're so busy - & I get it! Do yourself a solid a try the Gourmet Chicken Salad with the Raspberry Vinaigrette salad dressing ... YUMMY! V/r, Casey Burnsed

The last time I went to Dions they didn't call my name and I went up after waiting close to 30 minutes and found our pizza just sitting on the counter. Wading through the preteens and high schoolers that enjoy frequenting Dion's on the weekends is kind of a pain in the butt. You end up listening to first world teenage problems as you're trying to spoon as much ranch into your mouth as possible. It's awkward as teenagers rush past your table and squeal with excitement that their friends have finally arrived. Other than the awkwardness of dining in Dion's is pretty good. I think there are better pizza places in Albuquerque, but none the less the ranch is a staple. They also offer subs and salads which will help cure any craving. Remember that they only offer dine-in and pick-up. If you're like me and want to avoid overly loud teenybopper parties on the weekends get it to go and enjoy a nice beer and some pizza with some friends at your house instead.

The pizza is good and the sandwiches are excellent. The booths are a bit small. Not sure if there were tables. But all considering it was a good experience and my kids like it.

I tried the Tuscany pizza a few weeks ago. It wasn't quite the Dion's pizza I remember. First, the artichokes were tough. After trying a few of them and spitting them all out, I took all of them off of my pizza. Second, the sauce was kind of bland. I liked the thin crust & all of the other main ingredients on the Tuscany, though. The service was kind of lame. I don't know if the kid couldn't understand my husband, but he asked my husband, "uh, what?" three times while he was ordering. I also think Dion's should scale up their order taking abilities. When you give your order now, the employee writes it on the little order pad only to read it back to you then seemingly enter the whole thing on the register just ask you again if the order is correct. Seems redundant & too time-consuming. My husband thought they would have a variety of chips to choose from, but not so much. Maybe next time will be better. Review #171

Great pizza, salad, subs, and lemonade. An ABQ original. The green chile is quite hot if you get it on pizza. I always ask for the spring mix on the salad, to me it makes a huge difference. I admit it would be nice if some of the toppings were cut smaller. The tomatoes and bell peppers come to mind. Still, when I'm hankering for Dion's pizza, nothing else will really do. Perfect medium between thick and thin crust, right amount of good cheese and sauce.

The Chicken salad I can get the same thing in Walmart. The raspberry vinaigrette comes in ready made packets. Walmart has this. The way people raved I thought a chef was mixing a special dressing. Not! I did like the spinach rather than cheap lettuce. The pizza left a lot to be desired. It lacked sauce. This is the essence of a pizza. This was like a Subway sandwich on flat bread. The green pepper was not julienned. It was just big rough chunks. The Italian sausage was meh. The pepperoni was ok. The black olives stood the best chance. There was no hostess. I asked someone eating and he said just grab a seat? After I grabbed a seat I had to get up and order. The ordering felt like a cattle call or a Six Flags Amusement park food stand. Some no interested fella took my order. I had to ask him to show me sizes of the bowls so that I would know what the heck size I was buying! It would seem the order taker would volunteer to show me the sizes without my prompting him? I left my Starbucks thermos on my table that I had grabbed and I keep a corner of my eye on that as I stood up ordering at the cattle call. When I sat down the table had red pepper flakes on it from the previous diner. I napkinend to the opposite side. There was an older woman, table attendant, slinging a wet rag but it never dawned on her to wipe my table down? I almost had to duck from her slinging the wet rag. As you can see this place is for someone, cause it was busy. It's just not for me.

Is it just me? Every time I go here there are at least two, and more often than not, four or more of Albuquerque's finest occupying the dining room. Not that there's anything wrong with that...except for tonight, when one of them had his fucking radio turned up so loud it literally stopped conversation for us civilians. The food was great, service friendly as usual.

Ketolicious! I am currently on a low-carb "Keto" diet and Dions instantly became my go to lunch salad. I can order it on my phone right before I leave work and it is always ready to pick up in less than 3 min or so. I get a ranch salad with chicken, pastrami, and pepperoni. Its freaking amazing especially with their ranch dressing. I also have them remove the croutons and tomatoes. The staff here is also very helpful and every single time my order has been perfect. They are very detail oriented and it helps with special orders like mine. Also for the record, their pizza is pretty damn good too. I can't wait to work it into my new found diet.

I went there to get pizza to go. The pizza was good especially with the green chiles. The prices were very reasonable. I ordered there and didn't have to wait too long. They were very friendly about refills as well.

Best Pizza in Albuquerque! I like the simple but very tasty slice with tomatoes, it really hits the spot. Their salads are good but occasionally I will get a chunk of lettuce that was not cut up properly. The greek and ranch dressings are delicious. The composition of the salads are pretty basic and something I could make at home. I miss the croutons they used to put in their salads. The new ones are not as special. The Turkey and Roast Beef Sandwiches are very filling and fresh. I have tried some of their gourmet pizzas. Which was part of a menu upgrade. They were okay but probably did not need to happen at all. Why fix something that is not broke? I do like their brownie with nuts. You could make a meal out of the brownie alone. Yum!

I'm going to say I'm a fan based on hours, friendly staff, cozy set-up (chique diner), good prices, limited menu that specializes in what they do best and various locations. I do think Giovanni's is a bit better pizza-wise, but if they are closed it doesn't matter. Plus Giovanni's lacks ambiance--other than that neighborhood pizzeria feel.

The food was pretty average. If you're going to get a sub, I'd get the ITALIAN. I can't attest to the pizza, but I don't think I'd give it another go. The cashiers At the front were unsmiling and pushy to get out orders in. I understand there was a dinner crowd, but we had never been and wanted to give the menu a good look-over. Would have appreciated a different attitude from them!

I love this pizza! It's usually a go-to when I don't have time, or I'm just tired and don't wanna cook. The first time i picked up my pizza through the drive thru, they ended up giving me the wrong one. I didn't figure this out until about 15 minutes later. I turned around went back and the guy was very apologetic. He gave me my pizza, some dessert to take with me, and a free drink. It was great! The pizza was a little cold by the time I got home, but it was still delicious.

At the top of the list for best pizza. They have salads, and subs as well, but they are know for the pizza. If you haven't had a slice with a bit of the ranch dressing then you don't know what you are missing. Thay are all over N.M. and now they have a few in Texas as well. This place is always busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Today when I went I was greeted with a smile and a hello. The slice I order came out super fast and it was exactly what I was expecting. Hot, fresh, and good. One thing people like to do when they place the order is they will tell the cashier a cool name like "T-Rex". When your order is ready they call out that name. If you understand... people like to come up with crazy names. In any case this is a great pizza place.

Dion's was our choice because it was, well, open. Pizza, subs and a few salads on the menu. I chose the one with barbecue chicken. It took the promised 20 minutes to be ready and my name was called. Yay. Pizza was fresh and it was hot. The chicken was great but I thought that the barbecue sauce overwhelmed the flavor of it. A very hefty sprinkling of red pepper flakes was helpful. It was A-OK but I don't know that I'd return to Dion's.

I've been going to Dion's since college and always enjoyed their food. Recently, after returning to NM, I went back to enjoy their roast beef sandwich and was rather disappointed. The sandwich appeared desiccated. The liberal application of Greek dressing (which is still fabulous) helped give it substance and flavor, but in comparison to the sandwiches of my college days it was a significant let down. My kiddos love pizza and will eat just about any put in front of them. That being said, the pizza I gave them was a little dry. There seemed to be significant sauce skimping, which was not requested. I'd be willing to give Dion's another go before giving up on them completely, but it is no longer my "go to" pizza place in Albuquerque.

I don't know if this is the location I went to when I visited my childhood best friend, but this place is amazing. It's the best Mexican style pizza I have ever had. Yum! I just heard from a friend that they are moving out here in a year. So hopefully this is true. I would be so happy to enjoy another piece of pizza from them!

I visit my uncle and aunt every summer and I would beg them to take me to this place. The pizza, salad and sandwiches are to die for. It's a clean joint and just feels healthy. Have yet to find anything to complain about. It's a very family orientated place.

I really like Dion's food, so "Yay! I'm a fan." I've visited many Dion's locations, and they all are clean. Best of all they have fast, friendly, happy, and smart employees. An article should be written by Dion's on how to hire such great workers to help with a new business model. Dion's contributes to non-profit organizations which includes the National Dance Institute of New Mexico (NDI-NM). The donations are good enough reasons to enjoy their food, but as if their food needs positive thoughts to go along with it because their food tastes wonderful already! The Dion's restaurants are nice and orderly. This is always important for the customers to drive into a good, free parking lot, enter into a yummy smelling establishment with spotless tables and clean restrooms. For all these reasons Dion's earns four starts. Good job! The Dion's stars would reach five, but only one is lost due to the booths being a little uncomfortable. The booths are good for skinny people, but unfit people are forced to sit at the tables because larger people cannot sit well in the booths. It would be funny to hear John Pinette or Gabriel Iglesias share an experience of trying to eat at any of the Dion's booths. I'd better not get any more "fluffy" because I will be the one sharing a crazy Dion's booth moment. Their drive-thrus are convenient for the call ahead customers. Children like to view the food being made, and I like watching the tossing of the pizza dough. Too bad I don't possess such pizza making abilities. What more can I say? I enjoy Dion's food, plus I appreciate the employees and establishments. I cannot thank Dion's enough for their donations to non-profit organizations and other positive programs that help students, so each time I check-in at a Dion's location, I will thank them for their community support. Thank you!

Most of our family enjoys Dions. Those that don't, are frustrated that Dions does not offer a gluten free pizza (like Papa Murphys). Half our family, at our last visit to Dions, did not eat. Salad was more an appetizer for this crowd, that wanted pizza. We called Dions Corporate Office and were left no real answer to our request. For those desiring gluten free, we suggest you boycott Dions. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Very good price point. Most likely is much better when consumed with a quantity of delicious beer, or when slightly buzzed. Hits the Pizza spot overall. I have been quite sick so no adult libations at this time. Crust was a bit tough, it could of been overworked. We ordered a large pepperoni. An oilier Greek style pizza, pretty to look at. As an east coaster I have yet to find the pizza perfection I crave out here. The real key to a great pie is a firm yet supple crust with a slight tang. The sauce should have a touch of sweetness, some zest and spice. I am recuperating from the flu and maybe am having a bit of a touchy palette, I will try again when my body is more normal. It definitely hit the carb zone I was craving- to rebuild depleted my energy stores.

I visit my uncle and aunt every summer and I would beg them to take me to this place. The pizza, salad and sandwiches are to die for. It's a clean joint and just feels healthy. Have yet to find anything to complain about. It's a very family orientated place.
