No flavor; would not return. I got the crunchy tacos. The ground beef had a good texture but was not cooked with any seasoning I could detect. It was topped with a flavorless shredded white cheese and iceberg lettuce. Both looked like they came out of a bag. Tacos made at home with a cheap seasoning packet taste ten times better. My boyfriend got the chicken enchiladas. We agreed that the sauce tasted like Spaghetti-Os. He said they tasted just like the enchiladas you microwave at home. The chips and salsa were okay, but no hot sauce at the table. Service was good. The food was so bad we would never go back.

Great food! Great service! Chips and salsa was amazing. I had the carne asada. Steak was tender! We will definitely be back! !

We ate here on a Sunday night with a large group (around 15 people). They weren't very busy, but the staff seemed to have a difficult time handling such a large group. There was a lot of confusion with ordering and it took a really long time to both order and receive our food. There were a few things I did enjoy about our visit. The decor is nice and very bright and the restaurant is fairly large. Our server was very friendly and personable. I also really enjoyed my margarita. It wasn't anything crazy, just a good, flavored margarita. The prices are also on the low side for a sit-down Mexican restaurant. They bring out complimentary chips and salsa, but the salsa was really spicy. I enjoy spicy food, but that was a little hot even for me. Most of the people in our group couldn't eat it. For my entrée I ordered the seafood enchilada and quesadilla. I was surprised how low the price was (it was around $8) considering this was a seafood dish, but the price made more sense when the food came. Neither item had any flavor. There isn't much else to say about it. A few of the other people in my party thought their dishes were alright, but weren't wowed by them.

Good food, good service. Chips & salsa are very good. Staff was friendly and attentive- Only thing was the place is loud but it would not prevent me from eating there again. Portion size was perfect and thought the beans were very tasty.

For the area of town Margarita's is in it is the best you can get, definitely better than La Mesa. That being said I still maintain that the best Mexican food to be found in Omaha is in South Omaha. I had the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and it was good. I also had a Gold Margarita, it was a little weak and very sweet. The salsa was also pretty weak and when I asked for something hotter they brought me a chipotle sauce. So I mixed the two together. Over all when I crave Mexican food I will be driving down south to get it.

I won't be back the food wasn't very good. I gave it 2 stars because I liked the free salsa, the cheese, and the rice only. I had the 4 rolled flour tacos. I got them and I didn't think there was any cheese in them so I asked if there was and she said no so I asked for some cheese and she brought me out a little dish of shredded cheese. I don't recall the menu saying there were onions in them I usually catch stuff like that and there were onions in them. Plus I asked for everything to be put on the side anyway so it shouldn't have even been inside. It did not come with rice so I had to order that separate, which I added cheese to that myself and it was very good. My tacos on the other hand were terrible, I added the cheese and sour cream, and some of the salsa left over that we had, and I picked out all the onions. I honestly felt like I made my own taco because after I made all my modifications it was tolerable enough I could eat it. I had to ask for a straw and silver wear which isn't a big deal, it happens but I think our server was not very attentive. My water glass was completely empty the one time she came over and goes "do you need more water?", and before I could say yes she goes "oh no your good" So then I said yes please and she seemed confused or something. We had been done eating for a while before we ever saw her again and were waiting for our bill, she asked "how is everything" we said good and she started to walk away so I had to ask her to get us our bill when we were obviously done. Anyway I won't be back, it's not for me. Maybe it is for someone else!

We walked in and were asked if we had a Passport dining card. When we said yes we were told that our business was not welcome there They had already brought us chips but refused to bring us water and would not serve us. The guy in the Sombrero was very rude and would not make eye contact. They are obligated by agreement to honor the passport dining card through the month of August. I would not go back now if it was free. Stupid business decisions

Great service and EVEN GREATER MARGARITA'S BY THE PITCHER. The food was super good and as I may have previously mentioned, the pitcher of marg's was just delightful.

My wife and I ate here one other time and it was just okay. Today we went in for lunch and it was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I am not exaggerating when I say Taco Bell is better for less money. The soft beef taco I had could be made better at home using a taco seasoning from a packet. The enchilada I ordered was dreadful as well. The sauce was runny and had no flavor. My wife ordered two crispy tacos and asked not to have the onions and peppers that come on it. Low and behold the tacos came with both. We asked politely if we could have them removed from the bill and they did. The server barely spoke from the time we sat down and never apologized for the screw up. We will never visit this place again!

I really wanted to like this place since I live and work close by..after reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. Slow service and food was like frozen food Mexican section at Aldi. Bland bland bland. Decor nice. They do not know what fresh is here unfortunately. I'm hoping they get there act together and try a little harder. The owner seemed like a nice guy. We tried a special and a taco salad. Beans and rice flavorless, hot sauce was just hot. They didn't put much lettuce in the salad and used preformed bowl that wasn't even warmed. Cost was a little more than at Taco Bell. I would pay more for better food. Keep trying.

My other half and I stopped here on a whim after seeing that this place had a Pinpoint welcome reward and boy am I glad we did. It was delicious! Granted, this isn't really authentic Mexican food but it is greasy, cheesy, and downright yummy. They offer complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was a little mild and watery for my taste but it's free so I'm not complaining. The chips were kind of thick which I enjoy. I ordered the cheese nachos with jalapenos, which are a steal at under $5. My other half had enchiladas and tacos. I can't wait to try more things on the menu, as well as the restaurants namesake, the margaritas. The service was outstanding and the server even offered to make my other half a chicken enchilada without the standard veggies you find in my mexican restaurant chicken. I love, love, love, Mexican food so this place is definitely gong to be added to our list of frequent places to visit.

This is the second location for Margarita's. I've never been to the original location on 72nd street but I did try this one for lunch with some co-workers. We were one of only two or three tables that had customer's. Otherwise, the place was empty. While everyone was nice the food was average at best. Not bad but you can do so much better.

Discovered this little gem after getting fed up with La Mesa. Food is AMAZING!!! The chefs here are not afraid of flavor and the complementary salsa is just stellar. As a chef by trade, I truly appreciate a proper use of salt and spice. This is by far one of the best Mexican joints in West Omaha. Two thumbs up!!

stopped in for lunch- really nice place very clean and colorful, i liked the arches making it like you were in a private courtyard. they have a private lot for easy parking right in front, i ordered a beef lunch chimi figuring it would be ground beef. ( there was a margaritas chain in the Kansas city area but i realized very soon they were NOT related and was very happy about that) nope on the ground beef. it was deliciously tender and flavorful chopped pieces of seasoned beef. i'll be trying the chicken just to see which i like better. i did like the beef and now want to try the carne asado tacos. first the chips and salsa were very very good. i make my own salsa so i get really picky about how i like salsa now. this was excellent not watery and it was mild as noted on the menu and i could have asked for spicier but i did use this on the chimi too along with the pico and i really liked it. i also make espinaca dip so i get um.. opinionated about that too among other things. like the espinaca my personal salsa i do like more spicy peppers but that's me. this was perfectly good salsa and cheese sauce and i liked them both very much, i like salsa on refried beans and use that as a bean dip with the chips. the chips were homemade they were thicker yes- and still quite warm. wherever they get their tortillas from i want to be friends with in my new city. my lunch came out fast and hot like the menu promised ( they have a half hour guarantee for lunch) and the chimi and cheese sauce with pico and rice and beans were really really good. i lived in Los Angeles for 6 years at one time and i cook from Marcella's cookbook off and on so i like flavorful food. this was perfect for me. since i'm organic i don't much care for "vegetable" oil but when you choose to eat out and not cook it yourself you eat what they use. their oil was not the usual tasting oil. not sure what they used but it didn't bother me. because i wasn't in a hurry i had sopapillas with fried ice cream for dessert and i cleared both plates i like this place. i will return.

Horribly slow and bad service! Took us forever to be seated. The waitress seating us said that it would take 30 to 40 minutes to get our food which it did. It took the waitress 20 minutes just to get our food ordered. When we finally got our drinks ordered she didn't even bring straws or napkins or silverware. So she goes and gets the straws and then doesn't bring the rest and I have ask for the napkins and silverware again. Then they run out of salsa for the chips. We are a party of three so she brings only two silverware and we have to ask for the third and she said they are running low on silverware. It took forever to get our food and forever to get our bill. We will not be back for a long time if at all. I don't believe it was the waitresses fault necessarily. I believe it's the managements fault for not having enough staff on hand. I've never had a restaurant tell me that they've run out of silverware or a Mexican restaurant that run out of salsa, especially when it wasn't that busy at the time.

This has been needed for a long time in our area. Atmosphere is huge in a Mexican restaurant. I've been to some area Mexican restaurants with teens taking your order, a local rock station playing and the only thing Mexican is the name! Or ordering hot salsa and they bring you Tabasco to add???? This is different. Quick seating with a lot if room. Booths, small tables and tables for large groups. Started with the Azulejo marg. Disappointing as it's way to sweet with no taste of tequila. My next move was the gold, much better. I believe last time I ordered the house with premium tequila but don't remember. Nice choices on the menu. Good choices on the kids menu. Our server seemed new and asked for help, which is way better than lying or guessing. Chips y salsa kept us very busy. Yum. Food came out quick and hot. The nachos were great, my opinion. Simple carne asada, chips and fundido! All other orders were accurate and yummy. Bill was accurate and quick. It's a standard for our family.

I go to the one on 72nd street usually...Probably the most authentic Mexican food in Omaha. Not only do I really enjoy the food and the price is really great but every time I'm there folks from a Latino/Hispanic nation are there as well. I figure they know as well as anyone what should be right. Others mentioned the food being greasy. I've been there a dozen times or more and not ever thought my food was greasy. I don't go for super spicy but if you want that just ask and I expect they will comply. They have always been nice to me. Note to newbies- at least for 72nd you take your check to the counter to pay.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
