Friendly, homey atmosphere and good food. Meats we're all delicious, over-easy eggs cooked perfectly, omelette on pointe, really great homemade strawberry/raspberry jam to go with generous toast portions.

I just drove in from Canada for work. I'm from Texas and I was waiting for a good hearty meal once I crossed back into the states. I was not disappointed by Jax. I ordered the biscuit and gravy and it was delicious. The bacon was thick and cook perfectly. I'm giving it three stars for the service. The hostess was nice but the waitstaff needs some upgrading. My tea was never refilled. Also a draw back is no dessert is offered on the menu?

Diner food. What we expected. Service a bit slow though the place was very busy. Lively and happy atmosphere.

For being in a small town on the border of Canada this place is a must visit. Great food and milk shakes.

Simply a great place to eat...anytime. Service is always excellent and whether it's hot or cold outside...order a malt!!!

Great cute small town diner. Food is standard diner fare, nothing outstanding but not greasy. Service can be slow. Live music at the weekends during summer.

Food was good. Waiting over an hour for a small breakfast and lunch was not acceptable.

Café Jax is the place to eat in Eureka! Friendly staff and amazing food!!! Loved the decor and entire theme. Even though they're the busiest place in town, they do an excellent job making sure you're waited on. I highly recommend cafe jax!!!

Decent food in a nice little town. I had the enchilladas and they were not bad, but not great. My buddy liked his chicken sandwich alot. The service was a little slow but the place is pretty cool. Lots of interesting stuff from the town on the walls. All in all, not bad.

One of the best places we've visited in all of Montana. Great live music on a Saturday night. Great menu. The people around us were also very complimentary of all of the aspects of the evening.

Very standard food for this type of restaurant. The place was busy. We waited over and hour and a half for a kid's meal and a quesadilla. I don't care how busy you are, that's too long. Our server was friendly. I would eat here again, because there is not much to choose from in Eureka, but only if I had all day with not much else planned.

Great place in a remote small town. Good food at reasonable prices! I had an excellent wild salmon plank cooked dinner for $20, which would have been over $30 in Seattle or San Francisco. Friendly good service even when very busy!

My whole family loves jax. There eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy are to die for. They also have a Greek feta dressing that I crave it's so good. Laid back, family atmosphere there's a reason it's always packed.

Awesome food at a great price. I love the banana nut muffins they give you to wet your whistle. I wouldn't expect to find a place this good at a small town on the northern border of MT, but I was pleasantly surprised. Our server was nice, but we did have to chase her down to pay our bill. I'd go here again in a second given a chance.

Excellent food, courteous service. A refreshing lunch on a long road trip to Canada from Columbia Falls. I tried the Reuben sandwich and it was amazing! Salad was great and I hate to admit but I split a chocolate shake with my wife which ended up being large enough for four people. Five stars from me....

We were here on 8/16/14. I would have given 5 stats for the food alone. I had a burger that was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. You could tell everything was freshly made. The reason for 4 stars is it's very confusing when you walk in. This is a 'seat yourself' place however there are no signs that tell you this. You end up with a traffic jam in the front area of people clearly confused on what to do. And while the service is very good once seated they kind of ignore you when you are standing looking lost and confused at the entry. My recommendation avoid the front of the restaurant, walk around to the outdoor seating and grab a spot. They'll see you soon enough. Covered patio seating available.

Cafe Jax used to be much better than it is today. I remember as a child it was awesome! Since then the service has gone down hill and the quality of food has also gone down hill. 3 reasons you MUST eat at Jax! 1) hard to find parking (you know a place is good when it's hard to find parking, or that it's one of the only places to eat in the small town of Eureka) 2) food actually takes 2 hrs to come out (lots of time to talk with friends) 3) no butter on toast (healthier... If you are into that sort of thing)

I love cafe jax!!! I'm from Canada but whenever we make a trip down we stop in either for some lifetime free coffee as we bought some to go mugs which they are so friendly about getting filled up or for a great breakfast. I'm not a huge fan of there crazy summer dinner menu as I'm a very basic girl, but there breakfast is to die for. Well worth the wait, what do you expect from a small restaurant that is constantly packed with people. The atmosphere is amazing and everybody is super friendly I can't wait for my next trip down to eureka cafe jax is calling my name. My personal favourite is the realtor it's one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Cafe Jax is well..... over rated. After being sat down, our order taken we were ignored. Our drinks were never refilled, no one asked how our food was and we gave up waiting for our check after 15 minutes of trying to get the waitresses attention. Our burgers were so dry we had to do them in sauce every bite. If we weren't so hungry we would have left. Take a bit of advice, skip this experience.

Love Jax! Friendly staff, great breakfast, AMAZING dinner menu if you happen to come when they have dinner (only part of the year). Coffee beans are even roasted 1 block away!!! A Must go restaurant :)

If you're coming to Cafe Jax, don't plan on eating anything for a month or two prior to arriving. The portions are simply gargantuan, especially if you opt for a shake (which you should). After over a week of appalling prices at restaurants on the Canadian side, the amount of food you can get for your dollar here is outstanding. They make a killer burger, too! I personally applaud the Build-Your-Own option. Don't forget the bacon! The waitress had some trouble getting my shake order for some reason, and my friends had to wait for me to finish after they were long done. Still, it's worth a stop.

Our party of 5 has never experienced such hospitality and genuine kindness from staff before! The food was *SUPERB*! The presentation as well as the taste was incredible. The pasta is made from scratch and the baked brie appetizer was off the chart. The atmosphere was quaint and decorated in a unique style. Words can't even begin to describe the delicious-ness of the desserts!!! Thanks John for going above and beyond in all your service! -Happy Customers who will be returning in the near future!!!

I have never in my life had worse service than I did here. It was an hour and forty five minutes between the time we walked in the door until the time we actually received our cheeseburgers and onion rings. In the meantime, we were patently ignored and avoided by our waitress. The food was fine, but words can't express how terrible the service and overall experience were. If I could give them negative stars I would.

Had two great meals in a row. One was take out. The cook even gave us a plate that we will return for the green seafood curry. The waiter was gracious and informative. I've had great hearty breakfasts there in the past. Thursday is all you can eat pasta night.

Let me start of by saying that I'm from this area. My parents go here for breakfast and lunch all the time, and I went to high school in Eureka. However, I was APPALED by the service that my friend and I received while we were there. First off, like another reviewer said, it took them a good half an hour to even come talk to us in a practically EMPTY restaurant, which was pretty ridiculous in the first place. Then, our waitress finally decided to grace us with her presence and she asked "What do you want?" in such a snotty tone, full with eye rolling and sneering. She was being rude to us just because we looked like out of towners. Hello! Last time I checked, you make the majority of your summer business from tourists, so you better be nice! Our food took forever, and we also had to ask for ketchup because there wasn't any at our table. That alone took 5 minutes. We were there for over an hour and a half. I don't know what took so long, considering there were two other tables. The only thing I can think of it that they decided we were tourists and were treating us rudely. Very frustrating to me since I've eaten here several times and my family frequents this establishment. I'm only giving it two stars because I have had okay service and food here in the past, apparently when I didn't "look" like a tourist to them.

Great atmosphere and service. Was not really busy, but ordered meal for fam of four and food came out hot and quickly. Had the Lawyer salad (Cobb) soup of the day- creamy tomato and killer French fries. They gave an extensive menu and prices are reasonable. Great milkshakes ... Big and tasty. Definitely worth the stop!
