First things first... Pizza is great!! Loved it. We got the Crazy Mountain. Spicy hot and delicious! Very importantly, the 3 people working had a tough evening with 16 tables going, phone orders coming in, and crabby tourists. They did not slow down... I watched in awe as 3 hard workers were making it happen... Committed to delivering a great product and a great service. This place rocks! Great job!

The pizza was good and the server was wonderful! I had the crazy mountain, I think. Anyway, the pizza was delicious. My server was attentive. You can also buy a few brews here! If you are staying a a nearby hotel, I suggest walking over and getting pizza and beer.

What a fantastic find while in town on business. Colleagues and I enjoyed the hospitality of Sam and Sally tonight and the pizza was fantastic. But the best part was a spur of the moment decision to add an order of Firesticks to our order. You have to try the goodness that is thin crust oven fired dough covered with gooey cheese and topped with beautifully seasoned all white meat chicken to a perfection reminiscent of a very flavorful but suitably mild buffalo chicken wing. This is so good that it might should be on Triple D. After all as Guy says "if it's funky I'll find it" and in my opinion he should definitely do so if the '68 ever gets to Billings, MT.

A great stop if you are in Billings. We did half Glacier and half Flathead. Service was quick and friendly. Pricing was average. Try the cheese sticks! They were delicious.

The food is excellent but not if you have to deal with the waitstaff. I recommend ordering to go.

Some unique pizza creations, one of which we tried and were satisfied. Salad and service good, too.

Standard, good pepperoni pizza. No complaints! Local bottled beers. Cheese bread is just aight, but then again, I think cheese bread is kinda boring, so maybe that's just me. :p Service was good. Restaurant is cool. Nothing really more to say!

  • John L.

Pizza was good but cold. The taste was good by cooking method, but was only partially enjoyed due to being cold. Service was good. Might give it a second chance when I'm up here again.

This is the best pizza in Montana, true wood burning brick pizza oven, Fantastic! A 10 in my book. We had a Crazy Mountian and a Goat Cheese with Arugala to go. Would recommend to everyone.

Great pizza and beer. Amazing personal service with a short staff. The pizza had a great crust and amazing toppings. If you need a pizza after a long day in the car with the family? This is the place.

I think it's possible that I've eaten pizza in every state and country I've ever been in. Bullman's was our pizza choice for Montana on a long drive across the country, and it did Montana proud. But while I might go back if I were in the area and in need of pizza, there were a few misses that I feel are worth a mention. The cheese bread was tasty, but they do something I've never understood. Rather than put cheese and garlic on bread, they put it on a pizza crust. I just don't get it. I'm at a pizza place, I'm going to order pizza, but then I get a weird plain-cheese-pizza-garlic concoction that basically tastes like a sauce-less cheese pizza. A pizza appetizer in a pizza restaurant. For that, I take a point off. But the rest of the food was delicious, and reasonably priced. We got the Rocky Mountain, which has pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella. The veggies were fresh and the meat was tasty. They don't have tap beer, which is a shame, but the bottled beer that we got was a really nice local brew. A lot of people complain about the size of the large pizza, but it says on the menu what size they are. So, the size of the pizza isn't really a surprise when it arrives.

First off the server is also the chef at lunch on a Saturday, last time I checked the server shouldn't be the chef unless it's your spouse. Second, the large $20 pizza is the size of a small Dominos pizza and tastes more like burnt crackers or cardboard than wood fired pizza. Lastly the kids $5 pizza is smaller than the palm of my hand.

Great pizza. We had the chicken bacon ranch. Also had a dinner salad. Great to get a salad with a green leaf lettuce and not iceberg lettuce. Very friendly server.

I'm glad that some folks have had a good meal here. Not us. There were only four tables occupied when we were there for dinner and the service was painful. Our pizza sat on the counter for several minutes and arrived cool and soggy, which is everything you don't hope for with a wood-fired crust. Our drink orders were screwed up twice. This is a nice space with a great oven. But we won't be going back.

We really enjoyed this pizza pub feel! Pizza was amazing with original menu choices - great salad choices - especially the mango vinaigrette! Buffalo wings as appetizers were some of the best we ever had. Only downfall was bottled beer with none in tap We will definitely be visiting Bullmans again.

Stopped by for dinner in a tip. I had the Glacier pizza. Glacier Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, Green Peppers, Pineapple, Jalapenos, Bacon, and Mozzarella Very tasty and I think the medium was a great size for one person. Awesome service and nice atmosphere to enjoy a meal.

Great friendly service with a smile. Offers a wide selection of pizzas to choose from. Two things really make a great pizza. First is the crust. The crust has a nice crisp to it from the stone fired oven. Second is the sauce. The sauce is o.k., but could use a bit more flavoring. This pizza place is next door to another pizza place.

So apparently this is really good pizza, maybe I ordered the wrong dish. The pizza was okay, very oily and the crust had a mild chewiness. Honestly I was hoping for a bit better. The toppings seemed fresh, but the pizza was over cooked. As a result the Flavors were off. Also the toppings were really heavy and way too greasy. Perhaps higher quality would be better. Maybe I'm just missing something.

We alternate between Bullman's and Carbone's for the best pizza in Billings. Great atmosphere and fresh pizza. We'd like to try some other items but we always get the Bridger (meat) pizza and it is always great. Easy, no frills, fresh and a good selection of beers.

  • Jena H.

They have the best woodfire pizza. The crust is light and the flavors are bold! By far the best pizza. They have very unique ingredients that will satisfy you.

  • Ash R.

Great pizza with an excellent crust -- chewy and crisp, the earmarks of good crust! -- nice variety of toppings and their signature combinations are great. We like the sawtooth, the pesto with goat cheese, and the bear tooth. Salads are also great and whatever their spicy-sweet dressing is -- mango habanero, maybe? -- is awesome. Service can be a little lackluster, but that's not much of a dealbreaker, especially with such a typically young staff.

Just passing through on the way to Kalispell, we LOVE Bullman's There..I really doubted that it could be as good, and it was... True wood-fired deliciousness. Get the Crazy Mountain.. Put a little ground red pepper flakes on that. Promise...

Pizza was very good and different from the normal pizza chain pizza places. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good pizza and a good price!

Wow, Wow, Wow. I love pizza and this was an excellent place for me to stop. Great service the pizza was amazing, crust was cooked just right. I went with the traditional Pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and extra cheese. Yumm. I have booked marked this so I will remember to stop again when driving across country.

Best pizza in Billings! Had good beer, but only in bottle form, not in tap. Pizza was out of this world. Big place but it didn't seem super busy on a Friday night. Hopefully this place doesn't go out of business.

Wood fired pizza is usually the way to go. The pizza is just ok. And a bit overpriced. Service was about the same. You can see back into the kitchen and the counters were all full of dirty dishes. So not the best experience.

Ok we did bullmans and old Chicago taste review tonight. And it was tired wife liked the beer selection at Chicago and the sweet sauce. Me I like the wood fired taste and great flavors. So either will make you a great pizza. Matters to taste personally I loved the wood fired hands down

I just don't know how to explain how I felt after visiting Bullmans. We were traveling, so I relied solely on yelp to find our dinner. The place is interesting; sort of an urban feel, but kind of "missing it" in some ways. Our problem was we ordered a medium and it was tasty and SMALL (and the wait was long). In California it wouldn't cut it. Keep working on it.

You want pizza? This place has good pizza. My buddy and I ordered different pizzas and both finished them. I had the all-meat which was well represented with... meat. But many of us want a bit more in a pizza restaurant, and that's about where it ends. No salad bar (or at least none that I could find). No brews on tap. The pizza was great; but there is no small or a personal size on the menu, so I ate too much. Service was friendly and atmosphere was okay.

Chicago pizza sounded great but the place next door was a zoo. At least two other parties here also came from the establishment next door. They have exactly three employees working. One is hostess and waiter, another is bartender and cook, the third delivers. I waited ten minutes for water and additional five for my order to be taken. The fact that they do deliveries astonishes me. I mean, choose your bread and butter, you're compromising one for the other it seems. I have time to kill since I'm not from here and have no real plans but I generally would be insanely impatient with this type of wait. The place only has about twenty tables so I wouldn't classify it as large by any means but if any more than ten tables were full of patrons I don't know how'd they'd handle it. The pizza. I ordered the Pioneer. No basil, add mushrooms. Toppings were fresh and plentiful but waited about forty minutes for it. I can't lie, this is some of the better fire stone cooked pizza I've had but unless you have time to kill order for pick up.

I had a hankering for pizza, saw all the stars for Bullman's and decided I had to check the quality. I ordered over the phone for take-out. I got a medium pizza half/half: artichoke/tomato, garlic, basil. (You can see the menu on their website but no prices.) They said it would be ready in 15, I got there in 12 and it was waiting for me. Though I opted to take it back to the hotel room, I did note that the ambiance was nice and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The pizza: -crust was done perfectly. I would call this a thin crust pizza but not too thin. It had beautiful char marks on the bottom but still soft, not too crispy. -the toppings were plentiful and FRESH. I love fresh basil, artichoke, and tomatoes on pizza. The flavors were simple and clean. -the sauce was not overdone and not too abundant. I can't stand an over-sauced pizza. Each element was excellent. A perfectly prepared crust, fresh toppings, and an accommodating menu for those who like to try a few things. I'm withholding a fifth star for when I go again and they nail it again. Yelpers did not disappoint with these ratings.

We ordered a large half cheese half Glacier, which had bacon, pepperoni, green bell peppers, jalapeños, pineapple, and canadian bacon. It cost around $19 for a large which is not too pricey. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven. The pie was very good. The crust was thin, crunchy yet a little chewy in the center, and cooked perfectly. The crust was a little black on the edges which is the way one should expect it coming from a real wood fired oven. The toppings weren't overloaded making the pizza light and airy. We ended up ordering a Greek salad after the pizza. The salad cost $8 and was easily split able between two people. The dressing was very good, we had a side of ranch with it, which worked well because the salad was so big you needed more than one dressing. It came with peperoncini, olives, feta, cucumber, tomatoes. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. No complaints here, although I would like to see some tap handles in here as there beer only comes in bottles. Other than that, good deal, $40 total before tip got us one pizza and salad, two beer and two glasses of red wine. I would come back and recommend for others.

Located in the old Wheat Montana building between Old Chicago and Dos Machos you'll find a little 'slice' of heaven. :-} Went for lunch with two co-workers and we split two med (10") pies. We did half and half on both of them so were able to sample four different original Bullman Wood Fired Pizzas. Delicious all four of them!! The 'Gallatin' was my favorite. It didn't even have any meat on it either!!! It just tasted so good (Mozzarella, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Tomatoes, Basil, Olive Oil and Sea Salt). The 'Crazy Mountain' (Spicy Sausage, Pepperoni, Genoa Salami, Black Olives, Jalapeños, Red Onions and Mozzarella) was also very good. If you're in town on business staying at one of the nearby hotels, this is a good place to get some good quality pizza and maybe save a slice for later in your room. Service is top notch, the interior is rustic-modern Montana themed and they serve beer and wine. And last but not least, bathrooms were spotless with ZERO odors. Bon appetite!!

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. The salad was amazing and the pizza was spectacular. Quality ingredients all around and enthusiastic staff. If you aren't familiar with wood fired pizza, this is a great place to start. If you are, they won't let you down. If you're in town you definitely should swing by!

We had the mixed greens and Gorgonzola salad, and the pesto and goat cheese pizza. The greens were very fresh with just the right amount of crumbled cheese, roasted red peppers, toasted almonds and onion. Dressing on the side so you can add as much or as little as you wish. The pizza crust is perfectly thin and perfectly crisp. Loved the toppings, ours had some fresh arugula added on top after cooking. Good selection of Montana beers at a reasonable price. Local Wilcoxson's ice cream for dessert at just $1 per scoop. Will definitely return when we can!

Had the goat cheese and pesto pizza. Very good! Nice place and I like the atmosphere but they don't have draught beer, only bottles and cans. IMO, add a good draught selection and you have 5 stars easy. Other than that, great place to grab a slice!

Visiting and walked across the parking lot. Walked in the door and just felt welcomed. Great server and it comes across as a nice pizza joint that cares. Enjoyed a great pizza, quite atmosphere and a cold beer. Next time I come back to Billings and in the mood for pizza, I'll stop in.

There are two schools of thought on what is at the heart of a great pizza, the crust or the sauce. I am a crust man and these dudes have great crust!

This is, hands down, the best pizza in Billings. Everything I've ever ordered from here was great and has never had the massive layer of grease so many other pizza joints around here seem to have on their pizzas. Be adventurous and try some of their specialty pizzas--even when the ingredients make you want to say "huh?" the pizza ends up tasting great. They've also got good salads. Staff is always very friendly, too.

I have never really liked the pizza options in Billings, but a friend recommended Bullman's so my family and I gave it a shot. We all, parents and kids, really enjoyed the pizza. I would immediately rank it as the best pizza in Billings. The crust is thin and wood fired in sort of a Neapolitan style. The tomato sauce is good, and they claim to make it daily (I can believe that). The pizzas range from more typical ingredients such as the "Flathead" which has Canadian bacon, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, black olives and mozzarella, to more creative (and delicious) combinations such as the "Garnet", which has prosciutto, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and arugula. The sauce, crust, cheeses, and toppings are all very flavorful. The balance of ingredients is good too. It's not weighted down with pounds of cheese and dripping with grease. There are also some salads on the menu that sounded good, but we did not have any. They have a decent selection of beers, including craft brews, but all are available only in bottles. Wine is also available. I highly recommend Bullman's.

As a business traveler who is on the road 40 weeks per year, I love exploring local restaurants. (I can eat at Applebee's, Olive Garden, and Papa John's anywhere). I found a hidden gem in good 'ol Billings Montana. Bullman's Wood Fire Pizza is relatively new (about 1.5-2 yrs old) and it's slightly off the beaten path. In a span of 10 days in Billings I ordered food there THREE times. The pizza is FANTASTIC. I sat at the bar each time, ordered a pie to go, and enjoyed a few of the locally-brewed Montana beers. The staff was inviting, friendly, and made my experience great. Sam cooked my pizza to perfection all 3 times The guy actually making my pizza was very helpful in accommodating my special requests for the way the pizza was made. I usually plan on eating half the pizza for dinner and then more for breakfast because I love cold pizza. BUT...the 2nd time I ordered a pie it was so good that I ate the whole thing that night! When it comes to wood-fired pizza or thin-crust pizza I am not sure there can be much better in Billings. I told several people about my experience and there were some locals who did not know of it. (But they knew where Old Chicago was which is right next door.) My suggestion for Bullman's: take advantage of social media (Facebook and Twitter) to generate some BUZZ about this hidden GEM. Your staff and your patrons will undoubtedly be able to spread the word via these sources. Some of the best FREE advertising happens through social media. Get the word out there....the locals need to know who you are! Thanks for 3 great experiences!

In a few words, the BEST pizza ever. Traveling through Billings, we chose Bullman's because it was close to our motel and looked good on Yelp. Thanks, Yelpers!. The place inside is wide open and spacious. Clean. Friendly, gracious staff. We shared the Garnet pizza - - -prosciutto, fresh thin-sliced tomato, moz. and reg.parm, cheeses, thinly sliced shrooms. Crust was thin, perfectly crisp and did not taste "doughy". This was by far the best tasting pizza of this type we've ever had. Salads were fresh and dressings served on the side. Soft drinks were large and refills offered. I had the apple and walnut salad with mango vinaigrette dressing. The dressing was suggested by the waiter and was perfect for the salad. One caution: some of the caramelized walnuts were way to hard and could be a dental hazard. Chew with caution. However, the flavors and freshness of the ingredients was excellent. 'we plan to look up their Kalispell store when we pass through in a few days.
