The Chinese is the typical cheap fare that you will find in similar take-out places. The service is OK, though often times I will either call or place a carry out order online and it seems like they don't actually start making my food until I get there. Recently we ordered delivery from here. We live about two miles away, so it's really close. It took 1.5 hours before the food got to our door. The delivery driver called once about 40 minutes after we ordered asking what city we're in (Um, same as you...). We gave detailed instructions but we didn't feel confident in him finding the place. We called the restaurant and mentioned the call to them and gave them instructions as well. Fifteen minutes later we get another call from the driver. He's still lost. Anyway, we got food eventually that had been sitting around forever. It was highly disappointing. We might still get carry out from here if we're desperate, but we will never get delivery again.

Ordered a few things, repeated the order back to the extremely young sounding person on the phone... Boyfriend went to get it and when he got home, it was wrong. Instead of a Large Seafood Delight, I got a small Beef Fried Rice??? Called up the restaurant immediately and was told "No, that's what you ordered". I said "No, I ordered vegetable fried rice and pork fried rice- both of those are here". Then she said hold on and I heard a bunch of arguing in the background... She gets back on the phone and mumbles something about "We can credit you $5.95 on your next order"... Um, No- make me my food. She said "No, we'll credit you $5.95 towards that order". After a few choice words she agreed to put the $5.95 back on our card and I sent the boyfriend to the place by the house to get me Seafood Delight. We will never go back to Rocky's again.

Horrible delivery service. I was called to confirm if one and a half hour delivery time is acceptable. I agreed upon that and ended up with close to a two hours delivery time. Called the restaurant passed an hour and a half wait and was only given a response of "I don't know" Oh, and my address is in the same zipcode and same city of the restaurant. This is outrageous! Food isn't even that good. No napkin or cutlery were given, at all. If you want to starve to dead and then have mediocre food delivered to you, this is the place! And they charged you delivery fee too! NEVER. AGAIN.

Just got off the phone while trying to place an order. The man who answered was pretty rude on the phone ("What do you want?"). He didn't know the menu and when I said something about his tone and demeanor, he doubled down on the rudeness. I ended up not ordering and I never will again. Unacceptable. Zero stars if I could.

Very rude. We were stranded in Detroit so the airline put us in a hotel. Got the menu from the front desk and called only to be told that "delivery over." No idea if she meant for tonight or forever. Hung up on me before I could even say anything else.

Good food for the money. Communication could be better when we place our order but that is ok it's understandable. I would suggest they do online ordering or something that might help. Overall this is a good carry out choice in the neighborhood so I'm happy

A decent Chinese place. Not my favorite, but close to my house and the food is a good amount for the price. I will say the staff is very short and borderline rude on the phone and in person...but if you over look that a decent meal.

When you crave Chinese food with distinct, delicious flavors... Do NOT order from here. I ordered delivery, it took an hour to arrive. I splurged and ordered a variety of food specifically because I couldn't decide what I wanted - sweet and sour pork, pu pu platter, wings, and egg drop soup. Had I known it was all going to taste the SAME (like old fry oil), I would have only ordered the wantons. The wantons and price earns them a single star from me. This meal left me wanting to order more food from a different place, just to appease my unsatisfied craving for (good ol' Americanized) Chinese food.

As a very frequent customer of this place (like @ least 1 or 2) times a week for well over a year and a half you would think that the service would get better or that the young daughter at the counter would have her manners towards customers especially ones they see on a regular basis butttt she still screws up the order even when you remind her what you need , she's still rude and not personable. Now I take into account she is a kid and I can respect that to a point but if she's working there at least be cordial to the customer ....I will tell you this if it wasn't for the fact I love their food (I always order chicken/broccoli or chicken/bean sprouts) I wouldn't go back (just because of that young lady , who should not be working the hours she does anyway ) but I let it slide in the name of good food

We order from Rocky's all of the time and we've never had an issue. Our order is always right, ready in ten minutes, and good! Just don't have them deliver because that's a disaster waiting to happen. I called to have them deliver to my workplace, told them to use the main entrance, and the guy ended up on the complete other side. I couldn't really get through his accent on the phone and he straight out told me that he couldn't read in English, so he couldn't read the signs. When I finally found him, he was really sweet and apologetic, but unless you have only one entrance/an easily accessible building, just don't bother.

I have been ordering from this place for years I liked the food allot when it first opened but as the years passed the quality of the food got worse and worse. I also have to say that I tip well even for carry out and I don't look for recognition but I would like to be treated with respect at least. I have also had to wait longer then an hour at times for them to serve people who came in after I did. I also would like to point out that the girl who works the cash register is not very polite. I do have to say though that their service has been improving steadily and its not my last pick for a place to eat.

i made an online order. They said my order never went into there system, but somehow i received a email confirmation. And if anybody knows these types of programs, you wouldn't get a email confirmation a few minutes after putting the order in without them recieving the darm order. So after about a 45min wait i call to get an eta, they say above and then say ,they will put my order through and will get my food to me in 30/45 min. 1hr 15min's later i get my order, but somehow they didn't even bother to look at the online order and sent the food. For bonus points they didn't realize ( again bother) that i was paying with card. So delivery guy is at my hotel door thinking I'm paying cash and then asks if I'm not if i'd call in and give my cc#. really???? (again look at the damn online order) And then when i open up the bag and guess what the rice (pretty important part of the meal, more like 1/2 the meal) IS MISSING!!!!! WTF????? At least the delivery driver was cool. I will not EVER be recommending this restaurant to anybody. And the food, the worst mongolian beef I've ever had and the crab rangoon, so overly fried that is was hard to bite into. And if I'm not mistaken, crab rangoon is supposed to have CRAB in it, not just damn cream cheese!!!!!!!!!!! 1 out of 6 had meat in it. (oh yeah i was that guy ) And for being 2 damn hours late with my order you would thing one might toss in something small like a freaking free egg roll or a soda or something to try an apologize for there ROYAL "F" up.

My daughter ordered food tonight. When it came it was not even half of the order. She called and they claimed the did not do the order wrong and refused to fix it. The order slip that came with it was written in Chinese so you could not even read it. The guy who took the order could not even understand what my daughter was telling him. I will never order from here again.

I've read the reviews regarding the little girl who works the counter and I thought she was efficient and did a fine job. I ordered inside and was told my food would be ready in about 15 minutes and they were quite busy on a weeknight but I did receive my food on time. I ordered Singapore Noodles and Singapore Fried Rice. Both were designated on the menu as spicy but neither were. Highly seasoned but I didn't much like either dish - they both had that skunk smell that some Chinese seasoning seems to have. There was not the slightest trace of curry and that, to me, is what gives Singapore Noodles it's distinct taste. They give large portions so there's that. But I will never order either dish again. I will go back and try something else.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
