I just LOVE these chicken tenders! I work nearby and stop in for lunch occasionally and the owner and staff just couldn't be more friendly. For lunch I usually get the kids meal which is just enough to be full but you could just keep eating until you're stuffed if you order more. It's like you just don't want to stop. A couple weeks ago I introduced David to these yummy chicken tenders. We bought extra to take home and that was pointless because we sat down and ate them all right there. They service is super fast and the tenders are the moistest you'll ever have. And I don't know what's in that secret sauce but it's fantastic! I really wish it was in Farmington instead of Southfield. One night a week at our house is "fend for yourself night" and guess where David goes now. You guessed it!

Food was great. Owner took my order, he was great, very friendly. Everything including the dipping sauce was delicious. Highly recommend!!

The chicken tenders were very juicy. Sauce is tasty and the fries are good too. HOWEVER the tenders are tiny... I got 4 of them and paid $8 for what seemed like a child sized portion. Too expensive for the small amount of food you get. And if you don't eat the tenders right away, they will soak up all the grease and get soft/soggy.

This place has the BEST chicken fingers I've ever had in my life! Everyone has to try this place! I'm from California, so when my cousins suggested this place for lunch, I was intrigued because we don't have chicken finger restaurants like this on the west coast! Their secret sauce is so delicious, I even put it on my onion rings! And the service is fast and friendly. It's a family-run business so that really shows in the quality of service and food that they have. Love it, and I'll be sure to make it a regular choice on my visits to Michigan.

Ken was showing me his new work location, and all I'm thinking about is chicken fingers after we passed this place. So, even though we'd just eaten elsewhere, we stopped in and ordered two a la carte fingers at about $1 a piece and a piece of a la carte fish for an ungodly $4 or $5 (!!). They cooked to order, so we watched some soccer for maybe 8-10 minutes. I'm fine with this as it means fresh food. Tenders were juicy inside with light, crispy batter. On the small side. Tasty. I did not care for the dipping sauce, which tasted like BBQ sauce mixed with something creamy. Meh. Wonder if they have Ranch? The pricey fish was delicious, damn it. Nice sized fillet - Ken and I split it and had 3 bites each. Came with tartar (which I used with my tender too). The batter was different, I think. Ken's since been back for lunch. He got the 3 piece tender meal, and thought it wasn't enough food. (They have a 4-piece meal). He thought the fries were good. He plans to try the chicken or fish sandwich next.

Everything was incredibly fresh and seemed to be made in-house. The place was clean and the girl running the counter was really friendly! I loved the sauce that came with the meal--some sort of chipotle goodness. Not the world's healthiest meal, but we'll be back for the occasional treat!

OMG I am so NOT a chicken person however I let me co co-worker talk me into going to a chicken finger joint today... I'm so glad I did! Not only is the dipping sauce so flippn good but the actual chicken fingers are so good and tender and crispy. I got the starter combo and it was just enough- NOT enough to share though!!! You also get great steak fries. Nonetheless I'm going back today! Also the workers are really friendly!

The food is decent but for your buck it's a rip off! I probably won't go back since there are plenty of places that give you more bang for your buck and more variety.....Nu Wave, Captain Jays, JJ's, among others!

Can we say Raising Canes ripoff? If you're gonna take an idea, at least match the quality! Someone should get in contact with the owners of Raising Canes and tell them to buyout this place and set up shop. Can we please make that happen?

Maybe it improved since I tried it when they first opened but I thought this place would go out of business in short time. Judging by the reviews people seem to enjoy it. I am a huge tenders fan but found the food to be less than impressive in taste and quality and a bit pricey. Either people set low standards or theyve vastly improved since opening. Out of boredom I may give them another chance but unlikely. Judging by other pics, a bit stingy on the fries portion.

Great service! Right when you walk in they ask if it's your first time. I'm this case, it was for me. The lady have me a quick run down and a specific recommendation. She was very confident in her "pitch" that I took her up on the regular chicken finger meal. It was delicious!!! I highly recommend this place. Small, quaint but with yummy fresh chicken and fish choices.

Some of the juiciest chicken I have ever had. I found the fries to be okay and grease fill air did not help, but damn juicy chicken.

Awesome place - the only problem is that from this point on we will never enjoy any other chicken strips! The special aside is the business. Nice little kick to it and the staff was VERY friendly and genuinely concerned with how well our experience was. Will absolutely be back for more!

Wow! DELICIOUS chicken, and as previous yelpers have said it's very tender and juicy. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is yes, a little pricey but good!

This place is in a strip mall and I came with low expectations. I quickly learned not judge a book by its cover. This is the spot for chicken! It's made to order and you can tell. Staff is very friendly and the place is clean. Believe the hype!

Perhaps the most tender and delicious Chicken Tenders I've ever had. Fast service... Great place to stop for lunch.

While staying at the Courtyard Marriot, I used Eat24 for delivery. $10 minimum delivery order, arrived within 25 minutes. The chicken fingers were juicy and meaty. Crunchy breading on most (although a few got soggy during delivery, but tha's okay). The fries were thick and handcut, and some of the best that I've had. The Texas Toast as thick, buttery and delicious. The "Uncle Joe sauce" was peppery and creamy with a really fantastic flavor! I would definantly order again. It's still fast food, but I'd give 4.5 stars... so 4 it is!! !

Ok this is right outside the Westin and Microsoft building coming from NY had no idea what to expect being a chik fila and kofc exposed person. The chicken holy hell its good moist and tastes good. The sauce they serve is also good bit of a kick. Fries well I suspect those are dipped steak fat fries but they are good when your arteries are clear. Not bad on price. Place is small but clean and staff very nice.

Stopped here, starving, after getting off a long flight. I was skeptical but hunger took over. I ordered the chicken fingers, fries, and toast. I also asked for hot sauce. The chicken fingers were really yummy. Not overly breaded, not over cooked. Still juicy and yummy. Fries were good, toast marginal. Sauce divine.

Chicken fingers are seriously awesome. They are tender and juicy. Cooked to order and not frozen. The batter is phenomenal. And the sauce that is is served with is killer. Chicken fingers won't be good anywhere else! And another thing I liked was that he knew costumes names as they walked in the door. Just shows that he appreciated the business he got! :)

Mike was great. Service was great and friendly. The chicken sandwich and fries I ordered were delicious. Great deal. Try the special dipping sauce.

Great chicken! I really dig this place. Uncle Joe's looks like your typical run of the mill restaurant located in a shopping plaza right off the highway. It's anything but. The place itself is run by this super energetic guy who really wants to make you like his food. It's really great to see how excited he is to have you try it. The place is so clean, you'd think you were going to eat something healthy. We ordered 4 finger combos for the both of us. It comes with 4 chicken fingers, fries, texas toast, coleslaw, and a large drink ($6.99). The chicken fingers were lightly battered, crisp strips of chicken. I loved them. They weren't overly crispy, but they were very light. It didn't make you feel as though you swallowed a bucket of grease. The tenders were just that. Tender. They taste fantastic and come with a helping heap of fries. The fries were good, but nothing special or anything. The Texas Toast was a giant buttery slice of heaven. The coleslaw was sweet and creamy and goes well with the tenders. The Joe's sauce was a very peppery mayo that wasn't as thick. I loved how smooth it was and was a perfect dipping sauce for your chicken tenders or fries. Fast food that's not so fast. It's cooked to order, which I love. The food is just good. No other way I can describe it to you. If you find yourself in Southfield, you ought to give this place a try.

Amazing Chicken fingers!! Melt in you mouth! French fries are awesome and the coleslaw is good. The Texas toast is a nice plus too. Seating is a bit limited so be prepared if you are going at lunch time on a Friday.

Amazing, the chicken comes out nice, juicy and hot, the sauce is amazing. I am now a huge fan.

Place now offers chicken, shrimp and fish. I have tried all three. I have reviewed the chicken before, so this will just be a review of the fish. The fish was so-so. It didn't make me feel good either way. I would get it again if I were in the mood for fish, but I wouldn't go out of my way. The shrimp was decent. They were good sized and came super hot. Works for me. Biggest complaint is that they don't offer a lunch size for the shrimp. I believe the minimum size is costing you $10. Wow. How about offering two fish, four shrimp and fries for $7.99? I'd be in a lot more often if that was the case. But the price of the shrimp is really disappointing.

The biggest problem with most fast food is what I like to call the Andy Gibb Principle: they just want to be your everything. So I love finding places like Uncle Joe's, where if you order the burger or the chicken sandwich, you get chicken fingers. Some may say the menu is somewhat limited, albeit there is the potential of fish and chips in the future. I'll be damned if Joe doesn't know how to use his deep fryer though, His chicken fingers come out tender and moist. His fries are perfect pillows of potatoes. Joe's sauce adds a lot of zip to both. The cole slaw is probably best remaining in the 85% of the side dish that The Onion reports goes uneaten. But you can't have everything, can you? Yay, I'm a fan sums things up well.

When I walked in, I expected my food to come in about 6 seconds after they grabbed it from the warming tray. NOPE. My chicken and fries were made to order, very nice touch. Some tasty chicken thats for sure, juicy meat and very crunchy coating. Fries were good too, but especially their "secret sauce" which was peppery and creamy, good on both the chicken and fries. Overall impressed, don't normally indulge on "fast" food but it was worth the calories!

Comes with fries and toast (an unusual but welcome side). They have great high quality chicken fingers. These were the best and freshest chicken fingers I've ever had

I really enjoy their chicken however the first time I went, I ordered the chicken salad with an extra piece of chicken and they laid four pieces of chicken across the salad, which I really liked. I ordered the exact same thing the second time and got a salad with chopped up chicken on top that seemed like it was no more than two cut up chicken fingers. I hate to complain but felt really slighted and hope they retain consistency. I'll make sure to specify next time. Great chicken and sauce.

Is this real life? Every part of my chicken meal was fantastic. Well, the fries are okay, and so is the coleslaw, but the deliciousness of the chicken, sauce and toast is so overpowering, that anything could have been served with them. The interior is nicely decorated, and I had the soothing noise of Bad Boys II playing in the background to go with it (an odd choice, but it did give eating a sense of urgency).

It's delicious if you're looking for some chicken fingers. They came out piping hot and the chicken was moist and delicious. The batter is generic stuff, but you can tell it was done by hand. Fries were excellent as was the texas toast. I'd go back for sure if I'm hungry for chicken.

I struggled with giving this place only 2 stars, but decided it probably would probably merit 3 if I had dined in instead of taking out. I got the 3 finger meal which comes with fries and a drink. I stuck with the house dipping sauce. The dining area is small and a little cramped but looked clean and fairly modern. The staff was friendly. Offered a sample of the chicken which I took and enjoyed. The food was ready quickly - less than 5 minutes. I took it to my office nearby and was quickly disappointed. The food is like eating grease with a side of grease. Yes, that is somewhat to be expected when eating strip mall chicken fingers, but everything was a soggy mess. Some of this may have been from the food sitting in a styrofoam container for 5 minutes but if that is the case they should find a way to better package their food. The chicken was juicy and (too?) tender but really had no flavor. The batter / breading could definitely use some spice and it was anything but crisp. The fries were also greasy but I suspect they would have been good if they were not "steamed" in the carry out container first. There was also big (unnecessary) piece of texas toast which I barely took a bite from. It was mushy and I prefer toast that actually, you know, toasted. Also, why serve a hunk of bread with breaded chicken? Would have preferred just about any other side with the 3 piece combo. It is not often I don't finish a meal, but I only ate about 2/3 of what they gave me. I won't be back, but If you can solve the problem of the to-go packaging steaming the life out of the food, and you don't mind a greasy meal it is not too bad.

Very good food on the more expensive side for "fast food".

Chicken fingers were small. Wasn't worth 7 bucks for 4. It came with Texas toast and fries. You needed the carbs because the chicken wouldn't fill you up. Chicken dipping sauce is good.

Great food, decent prices. Friendly cashier. Not the healthiest food, but I'd definitely stop by every once in a while if I was in the area.

I would like to rate this 6 stars. The chicken, the fries and Texas toast are delicious. The sauce it comes with makes the chicken melt in your mouth. I really hope they don't go out of business because they seem to only be a word of mouth establishment. Go get your chicken on!

Omg this was so good! The service was great the food was delicious. We got the four piece it was enough to split. Make sure to ask for extra sauce. I can't wait to try the salad.

I work minutes away from Uncle Joe's and saw this restaurant. I have to be honest, I saw the sign and wondered, "how can a restaurant have ONLY chicken fingers?" and ignored the place. Then a co-worker happened to mention how great this place was, so I decided to give it a try. Boy was I missing out! The food is fantastic! I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the cashier. They give you a sample of the chicken with the "secret sauce". The chicken is awesome, and the sauce is even better. I had lunch there today and told my husband about it and we are going back for dinner. The texas toast was delish, and so were the fries. I am not sure how cheap people want "fast food" to be, but I got 4 chicken fingers, (good size portions), an order of fries, coleslaw, texas toast, a cup of the sauce and a drink for less than $7. Great Deal! THat would be a good deal if the food was mediocre, but the food is absolutely fantastic!! I highly recommend this place. And I can't stress enough how welcoming and kind the staff was. Go get your Uncle Joe's!!
