The only reason why I'm giving a Denny's 4 stars is because the cook knows what EXTRA mayo means. In all my travels & eateries, no one has splurged as much mayo on a burger. Besides that, it was the typical Denny's, even our waitress couldn't of fit any better, she was made to work there. Thank you cook at Denny's for making my mayo dreams come true.

Great place for speedy wireless, food, and coffee without feeling pressured. They have a plug almost at every table for power!! Whether it is studying or hammering out some emails for work, I like Dennys. It's pretty low key too so you can get things done without getting distracted.

This was my first visit to a Denny's restaurant and probably my last. I wasn't impressed n for most 1st impressions count a lot (including myself). Upon coming in no one greeted my party of four for about 5 min. & no one else was in line or waiting. Finally a waitress looked up after talking with a Co worker and seated us. I ordered Alaskan salmon w/red skinned potatoes and fresh sautéed zucchini & squash. Well the salmon was very salty and over cooked (very dry) the potatoes were OK and the fresh sautéed veggies were bland. ..hmmmph I was soooo disappointed being that I finally visited a denny's. The only thing that lightened the mood was the cashier who told corny jokes! (F.Y.I...that was the best part of visit. ..smh)If I happen to go again I know for sure it'll be a long while and it'll definately have to be my ONLY option.

We've gone to the Denny's on Lansing's west side quite a bit. This night we had a coupon for a free dinner (up to about $8 I think) if we bought another dinner. Well they seemed to make the 'free' dinner basically a very poor example of a meal. I swear they COUNTED out the vegetables on the plate because there were only like about seven pieces of them in the side! The fish part was okay but they only give you FOUR shrimp. The potatoes were like a tiny scoop you'd get at a school cafeteria. With COLD gravy. My companion got a full, normal meal, and I got what I can only assume is what they give people who use the 'free' coupon, to make sure they don't try that again! The coffee is ALWAYS cold here and good luck gettng service. The waitress is always nice to us and seems to be trying very hard, but I have a feeling they are short on waitstaff there and she is doing more tables than one waitress should. Their bathrooms are also very odd and you have to wait forever as this huge bathroom is really only set up so ONE person can use it at a time! There are two toilets and one has no door!!!

Employees made us laugh as they hassled each other. We were a group of nine. I had a veg burger, neither the best nor worst ever. Avocado on top was pretty tasty. I wish I had known of upcharge for veg patty, I'd have just had the turkey. As it was, tasted pretty good, fries okay. I ate them cause I was hungry, I liked bbq sauce with them. Tasty!

Horrible service, dirty, would never eat there again even if it were the last place to eat out at.... this dennys is a joke. You last time I went it took 10 min to get seated and 15 more to get water I have diabetes and needed some thing to bring my level up so I asked for an orange juice and it came out with what looked like snot on the glass... I walked out and went to the nearby gas station to get some thing to eat. This is one of the dirtiest places to eat in lansing and this is just one of the three chances I gave them. Oh and don't hold your breath if you want good service the servers and hosts chat with each other 24-7 witch to them is way more important then there jobs so you get your service when there done with there conversations....

The wait staff is mediocre at best. The menu is your standard Denny's corporate menu. The coffee is pretty crappy and you're lucky if you get refilled before you run out. I guess the only thing they have going for them is that their wifi is more reliable than certain other diners in town and they're open 24/7. I'm shocked at how few all night places there are in Lansing. Oh, and I've never gotten food poisoning from eating here... so... I guess thats a plus....

Is this place still open? I remember them for their lack of stellar service. You always find something to chew on off the menu, although you might get a tummy ache after eating it. Ha ha!! I guess there's a place for everything.

Wife and I walked in today. There was an employee standing by the hostess stand. She just stood there staring at us so I decided to break the ice and I said "two" & held up two fingers. She grabbed two menus and turned and started walking away (not saying a word), so we took a chance and followed her. She led us to a booth and as she was looking away somewhere into space (not at us) she said "your server will be right with you". Then she dropped the menus on the table and walked away. About 5 minutes later a server walked up and took our drink order. When she brought the drinks they were wrong. She started apologizing ( very low so other employees could not hear,) and in a whinny, squeaky voice and was about to cry. Could hardly understand her but she said something about " they sat three tables" & "I am only one" or something like that. Ten minutes after ordering our food we asked if we could get coffee refills when she had the time. She brought coffee again apologizing and complaining and voice breaking up and about to cry. As we sat there the couple behind us had sent there food back twice because it was not cooked properly. (Really soupy, runny eggs) They finally said forget it we don't want it and left. After 25 minutes the server walked up to us and again in a whinny, squeaky voice and again she was about to break out crying, started complaining about things and apologizing again. (Keep in mind that just before this she approached a third table because she could not read her own order she had just recently turned in for them) Anyway, rather then listen to her whine and cry more we just said enough and canceled our order and went to another restaurant. We will not be back. Note: The manager came out to try to get us to stay because our food would be ready soon. We refused. There were 6 or 7 other employees and a manager on the floor mostly standing around.

Great service, great breakfast food and prices. The owner Joe is a super guy and is concerned about his customers and it shows. The place is very clean.

Now that Denny's has been trying to reinvent itself as classy & healthy-ish, it's actually decent to come to. The food has some variety other than the basic food groups of greasy/sticky/salty/gooey, & the lack of smoking is a plus as well. Decent place to go if you need to study late at night (although bring headphones) or just want someplace to congregate (the waitstaff is usually good about letting you linger provided you toss them a couple extra dollars). Definitely a lot better than it used to be.

The food was terrible and the service was even worse. I wasn't impressed when I had to walk past a crowd of smokers (all employees mind you) just to get in. It took three people to figure out where to seat us. Half the tables in the joint had dirty dishes on them so I guess they were trying to find one that they wouldn't have to clean. I did notice that our waiter was very good at looking busy even though he didn't really accomplish much. Unless this is the only place open, go somewhere else. This is the first time in as long as I can remember that I left a $0 tip.
