Bimbos pizza has a great slogan "A Treat in Michigan Smuggled Out of Italy". Let me tell you, this is a true statement! I absolutely LOVE this pizzeria! I have been coming to this pizzeria since I was a little girl. The first thing you see when you walk in is the pizza being made. Seeing the dough being flattened, the sauce being put on and then the cheese and toppings. I love how it is all done right in front of you! Then as your walking towards the seating area, you get free reign of where you would like to sit (most times when I'm with my dad he likes to face the big screen to watch whatever game is on). Speaking of the big screens, there are two of them. The seating area has the Victorian look going on. Dark wood walls with gold trim, and the tables and booths match the walls. I normally order a small pizza (which is the perfect size for one person) with ham and cheese. To me one of the best things about Bimbos Pizza is their crust. It is thin and crispy (having been to Italy I can say from experience that this is how authentic Italian pizza is). The staff is generally friendly and nice. The second last time I was there my waitress was the owners granddaughter, who was 11 and she was one of the best servers I have ever had. This last time though, my server didn't really pay much attention to us, I tried to flag her down for at least 2 minutes before she even heard me calling out "ma'am". This is probably the one thing that brought it down to a 4 star instead of a 5. I love this place with all of my heart and I seriously suggest going there! I can not praise Bimbos Pizza enough. It has brought my family together and my dad and I still go there on a regular basis. Give it a try and you will see what I am talking about!!

If you like tasteless sauce on a cracker like crust, this is the place for you. The pepperoni/sausage pizza I had was just flavorless.

Well let's first start with the rude blonde waitress, who took a good 3 or 4 minutes to even notice we were there... Two small personal pizzas took about 24 minutes, even though we saw people come In after us & get entire pies first... If they had good pizza, I would have let all this go, but beside the nice crust the pizza lacked flavor. I had banana peppers and sausage, while Kat had banana peppers, pepperoni and jalapeños. The sauce had no flavor, just plain out of the jar flavor... Being from Brooklyn I know pizza... Kat and I also have been on the DEEP DISH PIZZA TOUR in Chicago. If you are drunk in Kalamazoo and need a slice then there is a BIMBO pizza waiting for u... If you want really good pizza it's not here!!!!

I visited Bimbo's on a whim, was a little hungry and it was close to closing time. Everything about the restaurant was perfectly fine, I didn't have any issues with the staff or the environment. The food wasn't terrible either, but this pizza is just not for me. I can't rate it three stars because I didn't think it was okay, it was just not for me. I hope that if I leave a review that in the future I'll remember it with more fidelity and select something else. Sorry it didn't work out, I would say to give it a shot if you like very thin crispy crust pizza, it might work out for you.

My only regret in moving away from Kalamazoo is that I don't have access to Bimbo's at a whim anymore. That said, I make sure to stop in every time I'm back in Kalamazoo. Large sausage, double cheese, double sauce, ten times the awesome.

+ 4 stars for a damn good pizza. - 1 star for surly cashier. + 2 stars for giant cup of mell yello. - 1 star for severe lack of bimbo's.

Solid pizza. Service was everything you needed it to be and no more. Not very personable. Took our order and rarely checked in. But she was a ninja on the refills! If I ever find myself in Kzoo I'll be sure to come back.

What a disappointment. Between the bland, flavor not included pizza, and the so-so service, I would not consider returning to this abomination of a pizzeria. My experience with poor service was punctuated by the middle-aged woman who felt it was appropriate to continually interject in the conversations I was having with a friend at the table. How sage could she be; at 60 she is working in a pizzeria. NEVER AGAIN.

Best thin crust pizza in Kalamazoo. The wait staff is great, just know what you like to order.

Our favorite for years. If you like meet on your pizza try the "pork surprise" (our name for pepperoni, sausage and bacon). Really good!

I have mixed feelings. They have Mello Yello on the fountain, which makes me very pleased. I had a small pizza. The toppings and sauce were very good. The cheese was flavorful, the banana peppers had lots of taste and weren't hot. The pepperoni was great and the bacon wasn't too salty. The crust there is a bit chewy. I'd like to go again and see if I like it a second time. I don't feel that it holds up well to being microwaved. I usually get more pizza than I can eat so I can reheat it in the morning. I plan to check this place out the next time I am downtown. It's possible that the larger pizzas have a different crust consistency as well. The staff was very nice and the building is very nice. I will update my review upon my return.

I really enjoyed my time at Bimbos. A great thin crust pizza with a great atmosphere. Super friendly staff and YES THEY TAKE CREDIT CARDS (I read the reviews before going). I got a ham and pineapple but want to go back for a bacon pizza. People next to me had one and it smelled great.

Maybe it was an off-night, but the pizza I had from here was one of the worse I've ever had. Somehow, despite an assortment of toppings, the pizza was as flavorless as any I've tasted.

Pretty decent thin crust style pizza. What makes me like it is the open kitchen, brick walls, old wooden booths, and downtown location. Great atmosphere. Oh, and today at lunch they let me pay with a credit card so apparently they take them now.

Simple pizza for simple happiness. Its been 5yrs since i've had it, i used to get it two ways; sausage or just plain cheese. Yes its thin, and yes i like thin. If i remember correctly hey might have cherry coke....

THis place is kinda lame. They use canned, mushrooms and other vegtables. The sausage is awesome and can make a good pie, but they also dont take credit cards however have an atm machine so the owners can jack people for extra cash. blah

Went for dinner on a Wednesday night. Not a huge crowd. We ordered the meat lovers pizza. Thin style crust and it was just OK. No other items to order on the menu except pizza. No apps, no nothing.

I compare all pizza to this place. Thin cracker crust that holds up to toppings, good ground sausage and the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is i think they need more cheese so extra cheese solves that problem. Their menu is small, mostly pizza and if they have subs they are few.

Great pizza. One of the best in Kalamazoo area.

O Bimbo's! Your beautiful downtown pizza place exudes charm and family ambiance. The open kitchen and cheesy family photographs along side the BRICK oven! Bimbo's you even have a fantastic thin crust to rave about with a pretty decent sauce yet you go and muck it all up by using canned vegetables. Over processed meat, tinny tasting mushrooms and mushy, slimy green peppers. Come on! Greasy cheese topped it all off so our pizza was swimming in a pool of orange liquid. Blech.

Been going to Bimbo's since I was little. Back in the day, I loved it because of the arcade games and pizza. Now I love it because of the pizza, but in their renovation, the place has lost a bit of its coziness. Went on a Friday night, and it was quite desolate. And super-bright: the lights in the place are enough to make you think it's daylight. Way too intense. And the fact that the TV was blaring a 60-Minutes story about the Craigslist Killer didn't exactly make for good family-dining-background sound. Why not play music? But after decades of making good local pizza (crispy thin crust, fresh ingredients), it's hard to diss the place. If I lived in K-zoo (or whatever locals call it), I'd probably be by often, if only to pick up a pizza on the way home from Bell's.

Bimbo's Pizza is one of our family staples. If you work there you probably know of the Roschek's (?) - I'm one of them. Every time I'm in Kzoo I stop at Bimbo's. Best thin crust in the Midwest... easily. My dad wants your recipe - any chance of getting that from you? Regardless, I'll definitely be back again. :)

-1 Star: They don't accept Credit card -1 Star: They use canned mushrooms. -1 Star: The crust. The pizza crust was just ok. Your usual run of the mill pizza crust. The sausage was good though. But what sausage isn't. I'll definitely be trying somewhere el

Great pizza! Real crust done in a real pizza oven. They make their own sausage and sauce. Slabs of mozzarella not shredded. Lots of attention to details. Not a bar or Italian restaurant, just a pizza joint.

Mediocre pizza and a cash only joint? No thank you. Go check out Bilbo's instead. I've been here a couple times and was never impressed by anything.

No beer here, just the best tasting pizza in town. I'd give it 5 stars, but for the annoying presence of Fox News on the TV during lunch.

The only reason I'm not giving Bimbo's 5 stars is because they don't accept credit cards. Their pizza is amazing and I highly recommend it. Their service is pretty fast too. If you like a thin crust, this is the place for you.

All good except no fresh mushrooms and no payments by credit or debt card.

Best pizza in the world. Bimbos special double sauce double cheese. My wife flew one over to me in Germany while we were stationed there. It was one of the best surprises ever. We are still miles away but whenever were in town it is a must do.
