This place was a huge disappointment. The staff was unfriendly and we didn't get salad or bread until we asked for it. We originally from the area and spend our summers here. Guess only the locals get salad and bread without asking. If you are just breezing through hit Taccoli's or The Bell Chalet for a great meal.

I consider myself a cross culture foodie... Incredible great service super friendly food wow I think I'm still in a food coma awesome. I had the ground round smothered in onions and fries... It was basically a hamburger steak plate as what they call it down south... The onions was grilled to perfection the meat was cook perfectly!!! Ohh to end the meal with a slice of cake yes yes!! We will be back and recommend this spot to anyone!! My wife had the liver and onions and said the exact same thing as I did about the meal I had!!

Very very disappointing. I walked in this restaurant tonight at 8:03 PM. The door was unlocked. I was told they were closed. Now, I realize restaurants have closing times, but please realize there is major road construction out in front of this restaurant, and I can't imagine that their business is doing good. I asked the server if she recommends another restaurant, as she stated "there's Maplewood steakhouse down the road but I don't recommend it". I stood there for about 10 seconds waiting for her to suggest something else, and she said nothing so I said well I guess I'll find something. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I think I will go to Walmart and get some canned soup and heat it up in the microwave. It is so disappointing to see a small business act this way.

I've visited Mike's on several occasions and I've not been disappointed. My family & I generally go for breakfast. The meals are large and filling. I love their home made Italian bread and breakfast sausage. The sausage is one of my husband's favorites! Mike's has limited seating like most diners in the area. The restaurant is no frills, clean and tidy. Do yourself a favor and stop by Mike's for breakfast. You'll be glad you did.

My favorite place for breakfast-anywhere! The portions are giant and fresh and delicious. The breakfast sausage is the size of a hamburger patty and delicious. The French toast is 2 inches thick and covers the plate!

Every time I get to come back home I always make it a point to stop in for breakfast. My favorite thing is bringing my friends from the cities and watching there faces when plate after plate come out. You can never go wrong with the farmers breakfast.

The grinder sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. Their breakfasts are top notch as well. I've never been disappointed with Mikes.

Picked up a pizza to go shortly before closing time last night and it was excellent! Had to come back for breakfast! Mike's will be a new family tradition when passing through on our annual trip to MN. Great atmosphere, service with a smile, and the food is trumped only by the serving sizes and prices. Thanks Mike's, for a new family favorite!!!

Tasty, huge, huge portions. Any one entree would feed two people. Nice staff. Recommend the Ground Round entree. We did take-out and the order was ready right on time.

My husband an I each got the fish fry and it was very tasty and light. We could have split one serving. Soup and cole slaw were also good. Hot chocolate may have been the best I have had (I think it was the whipped cream). Only downside was the instant mashed potatoes. Excellent value and a cozy, local atmosphere.

I stopped at Mike's when I was up in Ironwood for a Memorial Day/weekend getaway, and I'm glad I did! The turkey wrap was phenomenal! There was such a generous portion of fries and coleslaw that I was barely able to finish half of the wrap. It made a great snack the next day. I would definitely say avoid the "chain" restaurant(s) down the street, and instead head to Mike's for a hearty, fresh food option!

Great burger. Loved the bun. Soup as a side was a great option. Super generous portions. The husband-to-be had the Italian grinder and it was ridiculously sized. Cozy, good service and priced well. It'd been awhile since I was in Mike's and it was just as tasty as I remembered.

The portions make it worth your money, first of all. They are very generous. So if you're hungry, no worries, whatsoever. It's a very hearty, down-home cooking, an Italian-American restaurant. If you come there for a nice-size dinner and you're stuffed, they're always prepared to get you a to-go box. Oh and It's always tasted good too. Try the Italian Sausage Sandwich with chopped mushrooms and onions.
