Russ' is very good and cheap, the mini gourmet salad is really good with their homemade french dressing and the hot turkey sandwiches are amazing. However the restaurant has slipped over the years but its still decent.

This place is so hit or miss. Tonight I watched the hostess tell a customer to grab kid's menus for her kids. We were seated at a dirty table. The server was having a very hard time comprehending simple instructions regarding my order and had to go ask a manager if I could order something that I've ordered a number of times in the past. Ugh...c'mon Russ'...get it together. The food's always pretty good but the service and hostesses are generally slow and clueless. :(

Brought the family in for a fish dinner. Got the perch special with cole slaw and mac and cheese. Fish came with no lemon even though it was on the menu. Mac and cheese came out in a hot bowl but was ice cold thanks to chef mike (microwave). Coleslaw was nasty soup. All in all a waste of a good $. I won't be returning any time soon.

We stopped in mid-week and wanted to get in and out around 10:30 for breakfast Quick service and a very inexpensive but good breakfast. The waitress was attentive and when we told her my husband drinks a lot of coffee, she brought us a carafe, which was perfect instead of waiting on refills. Food was well prepared and we got in and out. We'd come back for breakfast.

Been going to russ' around this area for a while but this particular Russ' was terrible. My mom tried ordering off the kids menu because she's had gastric bypass surgery and can't eat more than a few bites. She has a card from the doctor that allows for her to do so. They refused. It is complete discrimination and the management made us sound like we were just being cheep. Won't ever go to this Russ' again

Very inexpensive food. Loved the prices! The hash browns were not quite cooked through inside my husband's omelet. Everything else tasted just fine. Coffee was good. Wish the waitresses would have been a little more friendly. They were working hard. We would go again. It was worth the money.

Fourth and final visit to Russ' restaurant. Yes, they were slammed -- because not enough help. Waited half hour to be seated, half dining room empty because lack of wait staff. Long wait to order then long wait for food, 61 minutes to be exact. Pecan waffle had no taste except syrup. Sausage seared, medium rare. Wife's corned beef the same way, grill way to hot. Told hostess would report on Yelp, she didn't know what that was. Total waste of wife's birthday breakfast. Will not recommend not return.

Horrifying lunch. Clam chowder was a watery, tasteless excuse for soup. Gravy on my wife's mashed potatoes was neon yellow and cold. Extremely disgusting food and waitress with a deer in the headlights look. Never going back here.

For a diner, this place is great. Not the healthy food place, but good basic food. We enjoyed both their fried fish as well as their fried chicken. All of the sides were very yummy, and their desserts were yummy too. Great service. Very polite and friendly.
