A super friendly, huge cafe right in the heart of downtown. They have a giant variety of coffee/latte options. I tried the Orange Blossom, a latte with orange and chocolate, plus whipped cream if you want it. I went here for lunch with family, and we tried a variety of wraps, grilled panini sandwiches, and soup. All homemade, all delicious! The service was very accommodating, and there is lots of room for small or large groups. There is also a bunch of photographs and paintings on the walls for sale. A lovely place to stop for lunch. They also have ice cream but we tried several of their homemade cookies for dessert instead - they were good, maybe not great, but solid for a $1 dessert!

I love this place, it has so much to offer! One Sunday before church I stopped in and got a latte and a muffin and they offered to warm it up, which I appreciated! I really like the cinnamon and oats ice cream, definitely one of my favorite flavors of all time. What I am most impressed with however, is the staff, they are very outgoing and every worker I've dealt with has usually cracked a joke or too. The decor and sitting area is very charming.

I love this place. The turkey bacon wrap is fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing. This place helps Charlotte attain a certain level of coolness that can lack in a small town. Super friendly staff. Free wifi. The brown leather chair is my favorite place to read a book while I drink my chai.

This is a surprisingly charming local coffee shop with very good coffee. I'm a bit of a coffee snob (sorry, can't help it) and was craving good coffee after trying the brew at my hotel. I also wanted a nice place to hang out and write. Evelyn Bay far exceeded my expectations. It doesn't look like much from outside, but inside is a very cool old space, very open and airy with very high ceilings, hardwood floors, a gorgeous tin ceiling, and an eclectic mix of furniture, local crafts, and art. The people working there are quite nice. There are a variety of fresh brewed coffees. I asked for the dark roast, which was actually a very tasty medium-bodied coffee. I judge this a triumph in Charlotte, where most people seem to prefer their coffee pretty bland. I also had a delicious bran muffin. I didn't try the expresso drinks. There's free wifi, which seems to be pretty fast. (I'm writing this at the restaurant.)

During our two day travels we tried a number of local coffee shops. This was by far the best cappuccino I had. The shop is nicely decorated, the restrooms are clean and they have a large variety of syrup flavors. If you are a tea drinker they have a wonderful variety of loose leaf teas

Nice place, convenient for a quick lunch. Excellent turkey wrap, oatmeal cookies were okay. Didn't try the coffee.
