Got food from here twice. The first, the Chicken gyro sandwich, was solid, lots of chicken, tasted cooked to order, pita bread was a nice consistency and most amazingly of all, it wasn't soggy even though I waited about 30 minutes to eat it due to foolishly stopping in at the Giant next door! Then yesterday I ordered a large sausage, pepperoni, and shroom pizza using the coupon so it was 15.99. Pizza came out great, just enough grease, and it had a nice flavor, I wonder if they use parmesan cheese as part of their cheese blend? That's what it reminded me of, anyways. I'm very surprised at some of the negative comments. In the past month I've had Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, and Papa Johns pizza and the Paisano's pie beat all of them. It's definitely possible they've decided to fix problems from the past. I will totally order from them again and re-post when I do.

Lets start with the girl who answered the phone. She was very pleasant and honest when I asked her about certain foods she let me know if it was good or not so much. Which I really appreciate! She was right the pizza was really good plus they have coupons!!!!! The large was more than enough for 3 toddlers plus she let me know they could double cut it! My husband got the steak and cheese he said it was decent for the area but they do not offer American cheese which was a let down for him. The fries we good as well. I got the chicken cheese steak and it was ok the pizza was better! However, the amount of meat on the subs was good not cheap and thin like a lot of other places I personally just like a little more seasoning. Now the delivery guy was very nice and funny he even made small talk. All in all this has been a great experience we will definitely get pizza from here again and I would order these subs over a lot of other places. Based off the customer service alone I will be going back!

Good job today guys, I ordered my food at 1:55 and received it at 2:20, fastest delivery I have ever had!!! And I was really hungry! Food was hot and tasty AND they delivered me ice cream :) Thank you!!!!

Picked up 2 hickey gyros and a Greek gyro salad. Chicken gyro was very salty. Greek tzeke sauce is not a sauce at all. Looked like they just give you creme cheese. Greek salad was also salty and had just mainly lettuce and small salty strands of lamb. Not worth the money. Maybe they are just good at pizza. Easy with the salty MR.Paisano.

My go to pizza delivery spot. If I want 5 star pizza, a trip to Rockville for pizza CS or matchbox is needed. The only delivery option for pizza in Gaithersburg is paisanos. I only order their margarita pizza, so I can't comment on anything else. But that pizza? So good! Prefer the medium over their large as it seems to hold up better. Large pizzas seem too sloppy. Anyone that wants a quality pizza and can't stand the typical nasty delivery chains, try paisanos.

Moving from New York to Maryland it was very hard to find good pizza. We tried many different spots for carry out, but this is the one we keep coming back to and is our favorite. Thin, crispy crust, just the perfect amount of cheese, they crisp up the pepperoni just so. For Maryland standards, its very good pizza.

  • David S.

I wanted a simple half pepperoni half mushroom and the girl on the phone telling me that I would have to pay for 2 toppings. I couldn't figure this one out since the Paisanos in Rockville does it all the time and since it is 2 halfs they consider it one topping. Then when I said I would pay for 2 toppings she told me that they could not do half and half and I would have to buy 2 pizzas. So I took the longer drive to Rockville and got home with warm pizza instead of hot pizza. I guess I will have to eat it in Rockville from now on but hey I gave them a shot.

At work we order from this Paisano's every time we get Pizza. BP and I ordered on our own during their customer appreciation week from 8/24-8/30/2015. A 1-topping large was $4.99, carry-out only. I called our two pies in and we were told the pizzas would be ready in 15 minutes. We were late to pick them up, but the food was ready and waiting. The only complaint I had was that I had to yell my order in when I called. The female I was speaking with said she could not hear me and ended up placing me on hold and having me speak to a male co-worker. When I when to the store to pick up the pies I realized they could not hear me: Because of the super loud overhead fans! Anyway, the pies were superb, best we have had in a LONG time! I ordered one chicken and the other one mushroom, both thin crust. The ingredients used were fresh, taste, and overall great qualify. A complete bargain! I also got plenty of crushed red pepper packets and Parmesan cheese, always a plus not getting jipped on the essentials.

Fabulous quality for the price. I am usually not a HUGE fan of pizza chains but this one (along with Vocelli's) are two of the best in the area. The ingredients are super fresh too! I not only love their pizza (and I have had many of the veggie and meat toppings, all of which are delicious), but their tuna salad subs are great too! They do not use a lot of mayo in the tuna salad which is good b/c I hate when it is more mayo than tuna and they do not put any dill anything in there which I am not a fan of. The french fries are also very tasty. I would fully 100% recommend this place. The cheese is amazing, even when reheated later (although I use my toaster instead of microwave to keep the crust crisp). The garlic knots are heavenly and the bread they use for the pizza crust, sandwiches and knots is all delicious. I will even admit I have tried their desserts and those are great too. All in all, I have nothing negative to say. The staff is excellent and extremely friendly, even when they are busy. I usually call and carry out and the process is very seamless and quick.

This is my jobs go-to spot for team lunches. I have yet to figure out why. Maybe they give them huge discounts? The pizza is awful. Always super greasy and the cheese tastes like it has been sitting out. The crust is really good though, and they always include salad in their catering which is what I end up eating. No bueno on that pizza though.

  • Starrlina S.

We ordered the Pepperoni & Cheese Stromboli, Italian Cold Cut, Onion Rings, and Garlic Knots. The order was delivered fast, prices are reasonable. I must note that the minimum delivery order is $8, which I think is way better then some other delivery services. Everything was very good! I gave them 4 stars because the dough could be a little softer (a little tough, but not inedible). I love bread so this is important to "me." I will definitely order from them again.

Paisano's Pizza is, hands down, my favorite pizza in Montgomery County, MD. I frequent the Muddy Branch / Gaithersburg location for the thin crust, extra cheese, pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Outstanding!! The restaurant is always clean. The pies are always cooked to perfection .... AND they even deliver!! The owner, Alex Garcia, is also one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Overall .... Highest recommendation. Must try!! - Chris P.

This place was nothing amazing as far as food goes. I ordered the Cheese steak special and mild wings. The steak was below average but the wings were good. My entire reason for giving 4 stars is because of how clean this place was and the two employees that I did interact with were very polite and helpful. That's hard to find these days. I won't give up on the food just yet, I still want to try a couple other things.

Was really impressed with their pizza. Someone told me they had really good pizza so I had to try. I'd been here before for the italian sub and it was great. Just one problem, I tried ordering a pizza with two special requests. It was a 12", which first off, the girl didn't even know what size the pizza was... she said ok, a small... and I ordered what I knew was a medium. It was a 12" garlic spinach. 1st request was to add chicken. 2nd request was to not have mushrooms on one side. I suppose that was too hard of an order. I went to pick up and got half garlic spinach with chicken and half just mushrooms. Anyway, after explaining the confusion, they agreed to remake the pizza. I was impressed. I just don't think the girl up front knew what she was doing. When I came in, she was sitting in the front just having a conversation instead of being at the front desk while the rest of her co-workers were hard at work. Food is great! Just not the service from that girl.

As far as local pizza goes, this place works. While I haven't gotten FANTASTIC pizza since I've relocated from the NYC area, Paisano's gets it close. The pizza is average, but in Gaithersburg, that's actually a good rating, since other local pizza I've tried sucked on sight (Potomac Pizza, anyone?). The front counter dude was friendly when I went there for my lunch special, which was a mediocre, hardly-a-cheesesteak with mediocre soggy fries that tasted like fry oil. At least it came with a bottled Coca-Cola, which they couldn't have possibly screwed up. From other reviews, I'll still try this place for other dishes. I've yet to get a chicken parm or stromboli from here. To sum things up, the pizza is okay/average (but could be the best in the area, relatively speaking). If you want a hot or cold sub, I highly suggest checking out Jersey Mike's in the Kentlands. As a side note, why not get creative with the name? How about Pie-Zanos? See what I did there?

These guys (and gals) are the best! Great staff and always very friendly! It doesn't matter if you're in for lunch or dinner- it's a great experience. I highly recommend this pizza shop to anyone

Good food. Reasonable prices. It's more of a carry out place instead of a dine in place.

    (4)
  • Mark H.

Slightly better than chain pizza. I am a NY pizza snob, so maybe its good for non-New Yorkers, but this is not real pizza. Had a white pie...not enough ricotta so it was dry. Garlic knots had plenty of garlic but got hard and chewy. Sauce was okay. Won't go out of my way to return.

This pizza joint us located in a small strip mall on Muddy Branch (where the Giant is). The cheese fries are pretty good but I'd skip the tangy lasagna-i think I prefer stouffers over this 10.99 lasagna.

Dont be fooled this place is nothing like the rockville location. I ordered chicken tenders for my kids from the rockville location i get 5 i order from Gaithersburg location i get 3 no sauce and attitude when you call to ask why.

We order from here quiet often. Every time we call, the person answering the phones are very friendly. I really like that they save your info so when you call, you don't need to give them your address or credit card info every time. Our orders are always correct the pepperoni Stromboli is delicious. Also recommend the salads! Every sub we have tried is great as well!

Great food and great service. Even delivery is reliable and accurate. Paisanos is consistently solid in everything they do.

  • Michael R.

I ordered there pizza for delivery and it came very quickly and was hot (less than 40 mins). I thought their pizza was awesome. The crust is a great recipe and tastes like a NY style pizza. Very thin for the majority of the slice. The pizza wasn't oily or anything and had a great tasting sauce as well. The toppings you could tell were fresh. The only thing I would suggest to them is to put more toppings on their pizza. They do skimp on the toppings a little bit. Also there wings are incredible! Worth the extra money, forget about papa johns, dominos, or pizza hutt... Go Paisano's for a fresh take and enjoy their incredible food. --Michael R

This is the neighborhood pizza spot everyone wants. The counter staff is so friendly, you feel like you're talking to old friends. As for the food. Outstanding! The pizza is so much better than the "big chains" and don't forget about the subs.

  • M S.

I'm from Jersey originally - so trust I know a thing or 2 about pizza. This is terrible. I noticed there are alot of places in MD that mess up pizza and this is one of them. For the price you pay, you are better off going elsewhere. So far Domino's has done justice w/ the reg thin crust and newer pan pizza (similar to a thick crust).

    (1)
  • L H.

I frequent Paisanos because I loooooove thin crust pizza. If you love thin crust, order the small pizza. It's crispy and delicious. It's like flat bread. I wish the medium and large would have the same thin crust consistency though. The gyro, grilled chicken sub, and chicken tenders are very good. Salads are fresh. I always get take out, so I can't comment on table service. Counter/pick up service have been friendly.

  • Mike M.

Second experience far exceeded the first. Maybe they are starting to get it together. Ordered three pies with a neighbor family. As with the first experience, toppings were fine, this time, however, I found the sauce to be significantly better. Not the dry, tomato paste sauce as before. The crust was about the same, still needs some flavor. Ordered all three as the NY style which seems to be the better choice here even though I'm typically more of a fan of the thin crust. Glad to see improvement. Looking forward to them figuring out the crust.

  • Will H.

So glad to see the previous place (manattan pizza, see my review) go and be replaced by this incredible NY-style pizza joint. The place is really clean. The pizza is fantastic. It's greasy, fold-in-half, super delicious, NY-style goodness. If you're not into the "greasy" part, they have plenty of healthier pizza varieities. Also, the crust is top-notch. 99% of the time, I discard crust, but this I always chow down on. The garlic knots are mind-numbing. If you love garlic, you're gonna flip your lid. If you don't like garlic, start. I think about this food randomly throughout the day. I'm a huge fan. 5/27 Edit: Let me be more specific if you're looking for NY-style pizza. The only pie I care to get from here is the Paulie's, which is thin NY-style crust with pepperoni and minced garlic on top. I highly recommend it, especially for dine-in.

  • Michael K.

Their pizza is really good! We had their big paisano pizza, which would be the equivalent in toppings to "The Works" pizza at Papa Johns. The toppings were all fresh and of good quality. What really stands out with their pizza is their zesty sauce and seasoned crust which really brings life to the pie! We'll be back for more!

The cheesesteaks are good. The salad is good too. Overall we would recommend here for carry out. The service when you eat in is slow and they often get the order wrong.

    (3)
  • Anthony T.

Tried their pizza for the first time because i heard they use top quality cheese on their pies and i luv it way better than Dominos or Papa Johns, they also have beer and many more delicious dishes like fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Its the sh#t

Fantastic Job Team Gaithersburg Paisanos! Kudos to Alex and his great staff for making my wife see my infatuation with Paisanos! That Gyro was amazing, and my wife agrees:) So forgive my first post, my expectations were far more exceeded! And by the way, my last post challenged the service for that 5th star! Well you have earned it times 10! Thanks again Alex and team Paisanos Gaithersburg:)))))))))))))

We bought a pizza and ziti and it was all very disappointing. The pizza was as far from "New York" style as possible and very salty. The ziti was very over-cooked, mushy and bland. The sauce was thin and tasteless. The meatballs had an odd mushy quality and no flavor. The cheese on top tasted artificial and was melted into a thick oily lump in to of the ziti. I like to try new places, but I wish I had skipped this one.

I had a very bad experience when ordering a pizza the other day. My first time in a Paisano's. To their credit, the manager did come back to my post and apologize in an email. At least they did care enough to read the review and try to make amends after the incident. I still won't be going back but thought people should know about their follow up.

Anyone that wants a quality pizza and can't stand the typical nasty delivery chains, try paisanos.
